Moriel Archive » Blog Archive » Unity, Diversity and Division that Glorifies God

This was an interesting piece…

There is a unity that glorifies God. There is a diversity that glorifies God. There is a division that glorifies God. God is clear on what unity, diversity and division is acceptable to Him and brings glory to Him. The Bible reveals that in the Last Days there will be a one world religion. This religion of unity is referred to as Mystery Babylon and has its roots at the Tower of Babel (Genesis 11). This false religious system will ultimately be brought down by God (cf. Revelation 17). The unity of Mystery Babylon is not glorifying to God but opposes God with all deception and rebellion against Him and His word. This false unity is on the rise today. That is a unity true Christians do not want to be a part of. Having a Biblical God ordained understanding of how unity, diversity and division relate to one another is critical to glorifying God by both what we participate in and what we separate from. More Books and Things…: Vatican seeks Aliens

Oh boy…

Here’s a strange thing I read this morning. The Vatican not only sponsored a conference this year on evolution to mark the 150th anniversary of Charles Darwin’s "The Origin of Species," now – in another attempt to overcome the accusation they were hostile to science – the church of Rome is looking for aliens…yes, it’s true. Lectio Divina – a repetitious form of prayer!

“But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking" (Matthew 6:7).

Use not vain repetitions – The original word here is supposed to be derived from the name of a Greek poet, who made long and weary verses, declaring by many forms and endless repetitions the same sentiment. Hence, it means to repeat a thing often; to say the same thing in different words, or to repeat the same words, as though God did not hear at first. An example of this we have in 1Ki: 18:26; “They called on Baal from morning until noon, saying, O Baal, hear us!”

Contemplation (Contemplatio)

To the uninitiated, contemplation often is confused with meditation but they are not the same. In ordinary circles meditation describes deep thinking and analyzing with a rational mind and some may use contemplation as a synonym for this activity. But contemplation in mystical circles “is a theological grace that cannot be reduced to logical, psychological, or aesthetic categories…It is best for us to stop talking and ‘listen to Him’ in simple and loving attentiveness. In this strange and holy land we must remove the sandals of our ideas, constructs and inclinations, and quietly listen for the voice of God.”[9]

Yaconelli tells us that one technique to help in this process is take a word or phrase (in essence a mantra) and “repeat it to yourself, allowing the rest of the text to fall away. As you prayerfully repeat it, different thoughts, feelings, and images may arise…. [By this methodology we can] pray ourselves empty… [and] sink into God beneath all your thoughts and feelings.”[10]

As can easily be seen, lectio divina is not a devotional method of Scripture reading, but a highly mystical approach. The reader does not encounter Scripture in order to grasp the understanding of what God has communicated to us and apply it. Instead, a super-rational experience is sought in which God speaks to an individual beyond the written page in imaginative and non-cognitive ways.

It is also instructive to note that this method of Bible reading is not drawn from the Scriptures themselves, but from medieval monks during a period of time when the Church of Rome was abandoning the clear understanding of the Word of God and seeking alternatives. The Ancient-Future Faith movement is not going back to Scripture for its teachings but to the practices and traditions of men. [source]

Even Richard Foster warns that you could be open to supernatural guidance that may not be in cooperation with God…

I also want to give a word of precaution. In the silent contemplation of God we are entering deeply into the spiritual realm, and there is such a thing as supernatural guidance that is not divine guidance. While the Bible does not give us a lot of information on the nature of the spiritual world, we do know… there are various orders of spiritual beings, and some of them are definitely not in cooperation with God and his way! … But for now I want to encourage you to learn and practice prayers of protection… “All dark and evil spirits must now leave.” [Richard Foster, Prayer: Finding the Heart’s True Home, San Francisco, CA: Harper, 1992, First Edition p. 157.]

Revisiting the Occult-Military Complex: Towards A Mystical Military

I had read and have also watched documentaries on countries like Russia and Germany who employed psychics to be used in gaining information for war efforts. Remote viewing was one such thing that they dabbled with. Also there were clear connections between Hitler’s Nazi regime and the occult.

It’s a strange name for a movie: "The Men Who Stare at Goats," and what makes this more remarkable is that it’s based on a "true story."

Staring George Cloony, Ewan McGregor and Jeff Bridges, this flick – to be released in November 2009 – follows the bizarre story of a United States military program that attempted to employ psychic powers and occult techniques to gain an edge on the battlefield. Welcome to the "First Earth Battalion," a New Age military concept initiated by Lt. Colonel Channon in the late 1970s.

Scripture, Post-modernism and Interpretation

poster55375284 I really like this…

Scripture is not meant for private interpretation but it is to over rule them! Sounds kinda scriptural to me…

2Pe 1:20  knowing this first, that no prophecy of scripture is of private interpretation.

2Ti 2:15  Give diligence to present yourself approved to God, a workman unashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth.

I remember someone had once said to me that you could interpret the bible individually, meaning privately. But scripture says that you can’t!

Another thing that hit me after reading these verses was that ‘post-modern, relativism’ is made up of personal opinion; what’s true for you isn’t true for me’. When one counters that with what God actually says on any given subject then critique can often be felt as a personal attack. So is it any wonder why people cry out… “you’re intolerant, you are not speaking in love”.

The other point is that tolerance is raised to a higher virtue than truth today. The word tolerance has changed to mean something more than respecting differing opinions, it now means ‘not believing in anything for sure’.

As I have come across people who have embraced certain teachings that are not scriptural I am reminded of these verses:

Eph 4:14-16  that we may be no longer children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, in craftiness, after the wiles of error;  but speaking truth in love, we may grow up in all things into him, who is the head, even Christ; from whom all the body fitly framed and knit together through that which every joint supplieth, according to the working in due measure of each several part, maketh the increase of the body unto the building up of itself in love.

Charles Spurgeon said:

The glorious charity of the present day is such, that it believes lies to be as good as truth; and lies and truth have met together and kissed each other; and he that telleth truth is called a bigot, and truth has ceased to be honourable in the world! Ah! beloved, we know better than to profess such unlimited, but false charity; the truth is, we know how to "hold fast the form of sounds words," which has been given to us, because in this way we grow. Changeable people cannot grow much.

Joh 8:31  So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed in him, "If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples,
Joh 8:32  and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."

Just my thoughts for the day :)

New blog to blogroll – Thanks Carla for the find!

[Hat-tip: Carla, once again from More Books and Things] You go girl!!!

About “Finding Truth in Jesus”

In 2006, I began to realize the church I was attending was quickly transitioning into an emergent church. I suppose that for awhile I ignored the signs, and hoped it wouldn’t get any worse.

The influence continued, and the final “straw that broke the camel’s back” was when the minister started teaching a series on contemplative prayer; which is simply transcendental meditation couched in Christian sounding terminology, but there’s nothing Christian about it.

I went to the minister to express my concern over this teaching, and gave him a copy of A Time Of Departing by Ray Yungen. To make a painfully long story short, I realized it was time to leave this congregation.

During the transition of leaving, I had opportunity to talk with several people about “spiritual formation”, the “emergent church”, and “contemplative prayer”, but I was frustrated with the number of websites I would refer people to for more information on these subjects.

I had wished I had one simple web address to refer people to, where they could get ample information, but also be directed to the vast wealth of data located on other websites. That desire led to the creation of this website.

What’s wrong with this statement?

So this is what it is all about: Trust Him with your life. Forget the legalism; let His Spirit guide you!… And THIS is what we need to teach your children: connect to the spirit as early as possible! Using the bible to separate right from wrong only leads to legalism; let Him guide you!

Can you see a flaw in this statement?

The Children Are the Key

poster55375284

I found this article via facebook which I thought was pretty good. It’s about teaching children biblical truth…

It is in the minds and hearts of our children that the battle will be fought.

[…]Something shocking came to light: that—of those who left the church—if they attended Sunday school regularly as kids, they were actually worse off! That is, they were more likely to become anti-church, more inclined to defend abortion and “gay” marriage, and more likely to believe in evolutionism and millions of years than those who didn’t go to Sunday school regularly!

One of the main reasons is that most Sunday school curricula only teaches disconnected Bible stories. They don’t teach how we know the Bible is true, how to defend the faith, and how to answer the sceptical questions of today. The Children Are the Key – Answers in Genesis

The article considers some important points about the importance of teaching children biblical truth from a young age. But what I found even more interesting is that there were comments from a broad range of people on facebook.

One commenter says…

So this is what it is all about: Trust Him with your life. Forget the legalism; let His Spirit guide you!…
And THIS is what we need to teach your children: connect to the spirit as early as possible! Using the bible to separate right from wrong only leads to legalism; let Him guide you!

Demonology – what does the bible say?

An interesting article about demons and satan…

Demons have always opposed God, His purposes, and His people. In the Old Testament days, demons brought attacks against God’s nation, Israel. Demons also oppose the Church, Christ’s body.

They promote false doctrine and divisions, they produce false teachers and followers, and they incite persecution. No other religion of the world receives such opposition and deadly persecution. Satan and demons hate the Messiah—the Creator who became the Savior—and anyone who follows Him.

Satan and demons have not faded from the scene. They continue their evil activity. Their activity is more blatant in some places than others, but their presence is still experienced worldwide. The Bible warns that their activity will reach new heights in the future. The pinnacle of satanic activity will be embodied in Antichrist and his program (2 Thessalonians 2:9).

The Fourth Kind

Author Gary Bates went a saw a movie called “The Fourth Kind” which is a documentary/drama about alien abduction. He has been one of few Christians that has extensively researched this topic. He has written a review about this movie which is worth a read as it clearly explains that there is something spiritual happening to people which he does not deny.

But are these encounters aliens from another world or are they something far more sinister?

The portrayal of the scarred Tyler is harrowing, though. Although this may be a fictional account, the reality of such seriously damaged people is only too evident to those involved in abduction research. It is the real evidence of altered and broken lives that is only too recognizable as the fruit of the evil one using such deceptive and destructive practices to spite His Creator and turn the very subjects that God loves away from Him. Sadly, this fact is lost on secular researchers. Amazingly, the last scene with Tyler is extremely revealing. Her interviewer asks, “You said they claim to be God” (one entity was recorded saying these words in the movie). Tyler responds and says, “No, they

A grand illusion

People are not being abducted by aliens.
Nor have advanced extraterrestrial races evolved on other planets.
Nor has God created such races of extraterrestrials. However, many people are having real experiences at the hands of deceptive fallen angels and demons. These entities are creating an elaborate charade that undergirds (and is undergirded by) the theory of evolution which also undermines God’s rightful place as King of the universe. The experience can be real, but the charade is not. As some well-known Christian commentators also noted:

“… how credible is it to think that literally thousands of extraterrestrials would fly millions or billions of light-years simply to teach New Age philosophy, deny Christianity, and support the occult. . . . Why would they consistently lie about things which we know are true, and why would they purposefully deceive their contacts?”

One thing he writes and something that I totally agree with, is that the Church should have answers for these people who have been so traumatised by their experiences with these deceptive beings.

He writes…

This area of spiritual warfare should be “bread and butter” for the church. It grieves me that many leaders do not know how to reach, and are not even willing to try and understand what is happening to, these people. A loving church that could embrace and explain this phenomenon will have people turning up at its door for answers. Unfortunately, most experiencers that I have met have felt shunned by the church. Instead, they seek the assistance of those in the UFO community who, sadly, will only reinforce the lie that they are being visited by highly evolved benevolent beings from another planet.

A must read article called The Fourth Kind!

Five very important matters of faith…

The Five Basic Doctrines:

1. The Trinity: God is one "What" and three "Whos" with each "Who" possessing all the attributes of Deity and personality.
2. The Person of Jesus Christ: Jesus is 100% God and 100% man for all eternity.
3. The Second Coming: Jesus Christ is coming bodily to earth to rule and judge.
4. Salvation: It is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone.
5. The Scripture: It is entirely inerrant and sufficient for all Christian life.

The major religions of the world all deny all of these major doctrines. Sadly, there are those within Christendom that are denying these fundamental truths.

To find out why these five things are extremely important read this PDF file written by Sandy Simpson.

Anyway, here is a poll for you to do…

The Bride is being abused…

A must read article by Jackie Alnor. It’s about the violence that is happening to the bride of Christ today. She does an amazing job in relating current violence of the world to the Kingdom Violence that is happening within the Church.

Spiritual Child Abuse

If the apostle Paul turned the world upside-down and the new apostles turn it the other way around, isn’t that an undoing of the work of the true apostles? Also, notice Joyner’s emphasis on worship. Have you ever seen a worship service at his church, MorningStar? It’s very tribal – even demonic. Here are some clips of this “worship” Joyner is referring to: [not for the squeamish.]

Worship I

Worship II

A woman wrote a testimony on Joyner’s forum testifying to what she and her family experienced while streaming Joyner’s Heritage program. She wrote:

“A couple weeks ago I was web streaming the meeting and my kids were up stairs getting ready for bed, when all of a sudden my 17 yr. old son came down stairs and said to me, "Look at me , mom!" I looked at him and said, "What?" Then he repeated himself, saying, "LOOK at me!" I looked at him again, and said, "What is it?" He said, "I’m covered with gold dust!" His whole torso was covered with gold dust! He asked what was going on, I told him I was web streaming Heritage!! Then the Lord opened an opportunity for my husband and I to come to Heritage last weekend. 4 days after we came home, I was web streaming again and saw an open eye vision of the fire. We know fire as a thing, but this fire of the Lord is Alive!! It was about 3 feet wide and had EYES!!! The eyes were blinking!!! It is ALIVE!!!”

[…] Most of the so-called prophets that interface with the former Kansas City prophets are highlighted on the networking PR group known as the “Elijah List,” headed up by media person Steve Shultz. On a recent news release Shultz was promoting a new cd by false prophet Kim Clement. Shultz’s September 8, 2009 promo started with this headline in big red letters: “

"THE VIOLENT TAKE THE KINGDOM—BY FORCE!–Just listen to some of Kim Clement’s Prophetic music to ‘hear’ Kingdom Violence"

He went on to say:

“Kim Clement is a VIOLENT worshipper. It’s odd. There have been times when I’ve felt so over-stimulated with life and the problems of the day, that I needed to just find a quiet place and BE QUIET myself. Yet strangely enough, in the past few years, it’s been during just such times, that I was able to bear the "Spiritual Violence" coming through Prophet and Minstrel, Kim Clement–at just those same times… it’s all VIOLENT in a VERY VERY GOOD way. Kingdom_violence

To anyone who has any background in the Occult or eastern religion the term open eye vision is clearly the opening of the third eye! The third eye is responsible for esoteric visions.

And please remember that not all fire is from God. There is such a thing called “Strange Fire”.

The strange fire

There is in Leviticus the account of strange fire; they were burning the fire to Jehovah but in an alien way, not according to scripture:

Lev 10:1 And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took each of them his censer, and put fire therein, and laid incense thereon, and offered strange fire before Jehovah, which he had not commanded them.

The term for unbiblical worship and the term for idolatry is the same term. Once you begin to worship the true God in an unbiblical way you will end up in idolatry. It is the path that gets you there; it’s inevitable. The Catholic Church is an example, they progressed into idolatry. They didn’t start with necromancy and icons they progressed into it. If you worship the one true God in an unbiblical way; that path leads you into idolatry.

Another example is the Hebrew word for husband, master and owner which is ‘Bal’. Jehovah was Israel’s Bal. The Canaanites had their Bal. They had their god with the same name. If you begin to worship the true god in an unbiblical way another god gives a counterfeit.

Aliens are spiritual in nature…

My last post was about the possibility of Alien Disclosure from President Obama. Now, I prefaced that post with a caution to be discerning which I hope you will do.

Listening further to the interview between Art Bell and Dr. Stephen Greer, Greer spoke about what you should do if you come across a close encounter of the third kind. He said that you should not panic, meditate and centre yourself into a non-locality consciousness and what he means by that is that you can learn how to centre your consciousness into a universal constant. I bet that sounds familiar to those of you who have been researching the emerging church movement??? He goes on to say that you must to this to invite them to come over and open up a spirit of dialogue!

You can listen to that interview HERE. He goes on to say that if you are skilled in this you can remote view the occupants of the UFO.

So… yep, this is a spiritual thing. He then goes on to say that you can purchase materials on his website that will help you learn how to get into this deep meditative state so that you can invite these Aliens in and have what  he calls an CE5 encounter; a close encounter of the fifth kind.

"HIDDEN TRUTH" BOOK and CD

The amazing autobiography of Steven M. Greer, MD – "Hidden Truth – Forbidden Knowledge". In one of the most astounding and moving true stories ever told, Dr. Greer relates his own personal experiences with Extraterrestrial peoples and the unfolding of cosmic awareness since his childhood. From his sighting of a UFO at an early age, to his amazing near-death experience at age 17, to his unraveling of the secret cabal running the illegal transnational energy and UFO-related projects, to his meetings with a CIA Director, US Senators, heads of state and royalty – you will be moved, shocked and enlightened as you read through this memoir. Read more.
Order the book and CD separately. The CD includes the following Guided Meditations from the book:

  • Structure of the Universe – 31 minutes
  • Contacting ET Beings and a Meditation and Prayer for Earth

The Disclosure Project – Shopping

He also has a CD set called Cosmic Consciousness – A course in advance mantra meditation. Just check out “The Disclosure Project – Shopping” link above.

Now… with all the centering prayer and meditation that is going on in the Church and with the UFOlogists doing the same thing and trying to connect with a something that is inter-dimensional, does this not concern you??? Think about how the whole environmental crusaders would be willing to listen to possible answers that help this planet clean up. Are we being primed to accept something that is super-spiritual in nature? Has the bible spoke about this? I believe the bible has. And what is says is that there will be a strong delusion sent by God Himself…

2Th 2:9  The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders,
2Th 2:10  and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.
2Th 2:11  Therefore God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false,

Why is this sent?

Because they don’t love the truth that would save them!

What is that truth?

Love of the truth — not merely love of truth, but love of THE truth (and of, Jesus who is the Truth, in opposition to Satan’s “lie,” 2Th 2:9, 2Th 2:11; Joh 8:42-44), can save (Eph 4:21). We are required not merely to assent to, but to love the truth (Psa 119:97).

In The Days: Current news events in the light of biblical prophecy » Official disclosure of extraterrestrial life is imminent

nephilim2 Ok…I said I was going to have a break, but I did happen across a post on one of my favourite blogs “More Books and Things” that needed to be brought to light. Please use discernment in regards to this topic. Remember that we should have our eyes fixed only on Jesus and His Word.

I have blogged about Aliens and the possibility of disclosure this year HERE. And you can find my other posts regarding this fascinating topic HERE. From these posts you will learn that there is a massive push for governments and other NGOs to disclose what they know about “Aliens” and “Advanced Technology”!

The following quote is from a Christian site that looks at current political events in light of biblical prophecy and I guess we will just have to wait and see if anything at all comes from this…

Obama’s September 24, 2009 chairing of the UN Security Council meeting on nuclear non-proliferation and disarmament, signaled his emerging leadership role in tackling major global issues such as nuclear weapons. The Nobel Peace Prize was an important step in giving global legitimacy to President Obama in making an extraterrestrial disclosure announcement. Obama is therefore poised to play a prominent role in the increased global governance that will be necessary after an extraterrestrial disclosure announcement. The timing would most likely coincide sometime soon after his Nobel Peace Prize acceptance speech on December 10, 2009 in Oslo, Norway.

There have been various sources that have revealed deliberations are underway to make an announcement concerning the existence of extraterrestrial life by the end of 2009. These include, Dr Pete Peterson, a whistleblower who has recently emerged revealing high level discussions have taken place concerning announcing the existence of extraterrestrial life. In a Project Camelot interview, Dr Peterson revealed that “Obama is planning to disclose the reality of ET contact by the end of the year; and that most, but not all, of the ET visitors are friendly.”
Another source is David Wilcock, a prominent researcher of emerging scientific paradigms. Wilcock has been told by additional independent sources that extraterrestrial disclosure will take place by the end of 2009. He furthermore claimed in a Coast to Coast AM radio interview that “a 2-hour international TV special has already been booked that will introduce an alien species, similar to humans, to the world.”

In addition, popular NASA and space researcher, Richard Hoagland, has publicly come forward to reveal that the October 9, LCROSS ‘bombing’ mission of the moon, discovered an ancient base at the moon’s South Pole.

In The Days: Current news events in the light of biblical prophecy » Official disclosure of extraterrestrial life is imminent

Interestingly, the whole energy crisis is part and parcel of this whole disclosure plan. Meetings are taking place concerning the continuation of burning fossil fuels and how this is destroying our earth. In these meetings they speak about extra-terrestrial technologies that would put a stop to all of that. Dr. Stephen Greer has started a website called orionproject.org and this website seeks to bring scientists together to talk about environmental and social crisis concerns…

The Orion Project is an organization created to transform the current energy, environmental and social crisis into a world of sustainability and Enlightened Abundance.

Technological progress in the areas of advanced physics and electromagnetic systems, if appropriately supported, will enable humanity to live on the Earth with a minimal footprint with genuine long-term sustainability.

For over 100 years, these advanced concepts in energy generation have either been ignored or actively suppressed due to the power of fossil-fuel based economic and industrial interests. [source]

Listen to this youtube where Dr Stephen Greer speaks about the possible coming disclosure and the economic reasoning why it has happened yet. He also speaks about the current global energy crisis and how advanced technology from these “aliens” may just help save the world from itself.

For more youtube on this see HERE.

Advanced technology from unusual sources has happened before. In the days of Noah the sons of God visited and pro-created with the daughters of man. They produced the Nephilim.

Gen 6:4 The Nephilim were in the earth in those days, and also after that, when the sons of God came unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them: the same were the mighty men that were of old, the men of renown.

Notice that it says that the Nephilim were on the earth during the days of Noah and also after that.

These Nephilim/Watchers according to the book of Enoch also gave rise to great technical advancement on the earth before the great flood. This time was of a “Great Awakening” for humanity.

Another Christian author has come to the same conclusion that these ‘Aliens’ are demonic forces, the same forces found in Genesis 6…

UFOs are real, they’re just not from outer space. So says Chuck Missler in his informative book, Alien Encounters: The Secret Behind the UFO Phenomenon. Missler is convinced that the alleged aliens publicized these days are demonic forces, and equates them convincingly with the angels that co-habited with women in Genesis 6. Stay with me for these few paragraphs and see if your curiosity isn’t piqued just a bit. Granted, there are many details we don’t know about the pre-flood days, but in my opinion, Missler’s hypothesis fills in a lot of gaps (Matt. 24:37). Read more at – A Deception of Cosmic Proportions

Anyway, much more could be said about these ‘Watchers’ also known as the ‘Nephilim’ and to the secular world they are known as ‘Aliens’. In fact, they go by many different names depending of the culture. Just googling “Ancient Astronauts” “Star gods” “Anunnaki” will bring up a wealth of information about these ancient visitors. In fact, almost every ancient culture shares the same kind of story about “Star gods” coming down and creating mankind! This is called “Panspermia”.

The book of Genesis says that we are created in the image of God – a monotheistic God! But it does go on to talk about the sons of God coming down and copulating with the daughters of men!

It’s about the Journey NOT the Destination?

I just perused over to one of my favourite blogs “More Books and Things” and Carla’s latest post was a real eye popper!

I was really just hoping that Mr Ken Wilber would fade into the background… but no, he’s going on a very long journey…

Get this – Ken Wilber and friends will be setting out on a five year journey to find their Unique Selves through integrated perspectives of Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, New Spirituality, Integral Psychology, etc. AND…after finding their unique selves, they will be given help identifying the practices needed to uncover their deepest and truest Self.

Read the rest at – More Books and Things…: Latest Global Things Bell’s Fav Author is up to

Now… you may ask why is this concerning me at all? Well I’ll tell you. Men like Brian McLaren and Rob Bell [as well as others] are leaders of the emergent church and are way into this guy! Yep, these guys are really going to try and change the face of Christianity. Really… to be honest with you, it’s not traditional Christianity but it IS Gnosticism!

Just take a look at Ken Wilber’s take on the “Future of Christianity”…

In fact Ken Wilber and Father Thomas Keating have a DVD set that you can buy to understand this new form of Christianity…Do you want to bring your Christian faith into alignment with the modern world? You are among friends. We also left the traditional church and looked for a different kind of relationship with God in many places, before we re-discovered this new vision of Christianity taught by Father Thomas Keating and Ken Wilber. We are so excited by what they shared with us that we created The Future of Christianity DVD set to introduce these inspiring concepts to individuals like you who are seeking a new kind of modern relationship with Jesus Christ.

About a journey:

I therefore sought to outline a philosophy of universal integralism. Put differently, I sought a world philosophy—or an integral philosophy—that would believably weave together the many pluralistic contexts of science, morals, aesthetics, Eastern as well as Western philosophy, and the world’s great wisdom traditions. Not on the level of details—that is finitely impossible; but on the level of orienting generalizations . . . a holistic philosophy for a holistic Kosmos, a genuine Theory of Everything. —Ken Wilber (TOE, p. 38).

Ken Wilber believes that the truth can be found not in a truth but in seeking the truth. He calls it “Integral Methodological Pluralism” which, simply put means — everybody is right! They are right because in their quest for the good the true and beautiful no human mind is capable of producing 100% error. So, the quest itself is not to find who is right or wrong, but rather to find a way that all various truths can fit together. Each personal way for the truth seeker therefore becomes an important piece to fit into the puzzle. This is all found in one of his books called “The sociable God” this book emphasizes an holistic approach in becoming a whole. Holism means that: the Whole is better than the sum of its parts. If you apply this to the quest or the journey of the truth seeker, then you can see that the journey actually becomes the destination of truth. Little wonder then that the labyrinths lead to nowhere, it is the journey, not the destination that is the all important goal.

About this five year Journey:

Integral Spiritual Experience has been designed as a circular 5 year journey that moves from the deeply personal in year 1, proceeds through the universal in year 3, and returns back again to the personal in year 5.  Each year ends with the foundation lain for the following year, and the entire 5 year process recapitulates the dialectical arc of human spiritual exploration and practice itself. I can tell you one thing. They are not going to change the real bride of Christ, the remnant Church, that is for sure. The gates of Hell will not prevail [Mat 16:18].

If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck!

Hedonism in the Post-modern world

Just listening to THIS… it speaks about “hedonism” in a Christian World. Jan Markell speaks with Brannon House on the issues the Church is now facing. Although the Church is going through some changes, and not for the better, this is the perfect time to be able to redirect people back to the Word of God. Hedonism will eventually leave people empty, and this is the time that we need to be there for them!

The evolution of mysticism…

creation Roger Oakland is on to something here…

There is no question mysticism and superstition, which modern science was supposed to have eliminated has made a comeback in Great Britain. The shops in Glastonbury were filled with spiritual paraphernalia which would make one think we had returned to the pagan past.

At the core of these resurrected ideas was the basic belief in evolution. Man, according to the "new spirituality" is on the verge of taking a giant leap of evolution. "Space brothers" or "spiritual guides" who it is believed have evolved to a "higher lever," are waiting for us to make the leap. Meanwhile, worldly intellects are encouraged to spend their time practicing yoga, humming mantras or rubbing crystals. There are many ways to contact the "gods."

What didn’t surprise me is that the human evolutionary paradigm leads humanity towards mystical evolution. From my own research on evolution there is a growing question of intelligent design. The thing is science does point to some sort of intelligent design and more evolutionists are finding this fact harder to deny. But for those who refuse to believe in the biblical account of creation they are left with the question of intelligent design. How did we all get here?

Professor Richard Dawkins in the following youtube explains the possibility of “ID”. An outside intelligence that may come in the form of a very early cosmic civilisation which has possibly seeded this earth.

Yet, he still admits that these earliest civilisations [of which we have no proof] have come about through Darwinian evolution! One has to wonder about how the earlier space brothers were seeded? And round and round we go! This doesn’t answer the question about how we all got here, but merely pushes the question further back to an inconceivable time. Oh dear!

What I reckon is going to happen is that we will have space brothers visit on a mass scale of which no-one can deny they exist. But these space brothers are waiting for humanity to be primed and ready for this visitation. Sounds a little too weird hey?

But this has happened before.

Another Christian author has come to the same conclusion. That these ‘Aliens’ are demonic forces, the same forces found in Genesis 6…

Jacques Vallée [he has been studying UFOs for more that 50 years.  In the film ‘Close Encounters of the Third Kind’ the character of the french scientist played by François Truffaut was modelled after Jacques Vallée] has written a book called ‘Messengers of Deception’ in which he writes possible global scenario.  One Amazon reviewer says…

What makes Messengers of Deception particularly fascinating is that Vallee cautiously sketches out his belief that some agency with enormous power of various kinds is and has been “staging” thousands of technologically complex, essentially ‘fake’ UFO sightings around the world with the pointed intention of manipulating and guiding civilization, and man himself, in a very specific direction.

The apparent goal of this agency is to encourage mankind, via a belief in the impending arrival from the heavens of the benevolent ’space brothers,’ to become anti-scientific, irrational, infantile, dependent, and endlessly hopeful that the essential problems of man—including his mortality—can be permanently overcome through the multi-prismed salvation the [false] “space brothers” offer.

Other goals include ‘the reversal of the scale of values,’ “leading to a new understanding of social good, the abolition of borders, and the death of nationalism,” ‘goals’ which are certainly becoming the reality in today’s American.

Which raises the question: who or what has such enormous, organizational God-like power?

Interestingly, when you have researched this topic inevitably you will find yourself at sites that are very Mystic and New Age with the emphasis on Ghia “Mother Earth”.

New Age Terminology within the Church

I just came across something that may be of help to you… a pdf file outlining some of the New Age terms being used within the apostate church.

I wonder if you have heard these terms being used in church, or have even read some of them in certain books recently? Obviously context is important. So this file outlines the traditional meaning and compares it with the misleading meaning. The misleading meaning is used to lead a change of thought towards the real meaning.

Example:

Revival:

The Traditional Meaning – Stirring up religious faith among those who have been indifferent.

The Misleading Meaning – An experience-based event in which people profess change, make decisions, encounter phenomena, or undergo catharsis.

The Real Meaning -  A global transformation of the church in which people are subject to experience-based events through occult influences and/or smoke and mirrors.

So… you may want to check out the file and see if you have heard, read or discussed these terms at all.

Heresy – a dirty word today…

Interesting article about heresy..

I have sought for some years to find a theological dialogue where a serious methodological discussion is taking place about how to draw some line between faith and unfaith, between orthodoxy and heresy. But almost everywhere that I have asked about the subject I have found that the very thought of inquiring about the possibility of heresy has itself become marked off as the prevailing archheresy. The archheresiarch is the one who hints that some distinction might be needed between truth and falsehood, right and wrong.

In other words, the only heresy recognized in much of liberal Protestantism is the heresy of believing in the possibility of heresy. This is not only a matter of observation — it is a declaration proudly made by many, who declare the categories of heresy and orthodoxy to be both out of date and out of style.

In the history of Christian theology, the word heresy has been most properly applied to what the church has recognized as false and unbiblical teachings concerning the doctrines most closely related to Christ and the Trinity. The word heresy should properly be reserved for teachings that directly reject what the Bible reveals and the Church has confessed concerning the person and work of Christ and the reality and integrity of the Trinity. There are any number of false teachings and erroneous doctrines, but the term heresy should be restricted to those most central to the Gospel itself. [source]

False Unity – New World Government, not so new…

tower-of-babel1

I have just received the Moriel newsletter today and in newsletter Scott brings to my attention the tower of Babel and how that system is not too unlike the one that is being brought about today…

Scripture teaches us that there is nothing new under the Sun and there is nothing ‘new’ about this idea [New World Order – Global Government] as it is complete rebellion against God and His command to Noah and his descendants after the flood to "’Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth.’" (Genesis 9:1) However, man did not listen and sought to congregate on plain in the land of Shinar (Babylon) in defiance of God, led by the first antichrist named Nimrod of which all false religion and religious systems can be traced back to, including his wife Semiramis and father Cush who many consider to be the father of the great apostasy. This is all thoroughly documented in The Two Babylon’s by Alexander Hislop.
At the Tower of Babel, The LORD confused the language of men and created the nations otherwise "’nothing which they purpose to do will be impossible for them.’" (Genesis 11:6) This was actually loving restraint put on us by our maker, yet we men have been trying to return to this original "false unity" ever since God kicked him out.

It just occurred to me that a false unity coupled with political correctness, which therefore gags the salvation message which is only found in Messiah Jesus; this gospel, within this system, would be considered redundant and even irrelevant!

Inside such a system it would be very hard to spread the salvific message if there is false unity where everyone remains unchallenged and seemingly happy walking their own path to their God (or gods) all the while remaining in their sin?

Just putting it out there!
