Have you ever wondered why prophetic events are taking on an ever increasing intensity and frequency. We all know that the bible says that it will be like a woman in labour. But check out how prophetic events did the same thing at Christ’s first coming!

How might the fulfilment of prophecy in the Last Days mirror the way prophecies were fulfilled at Christ’s First Coming?

Consider the following:

  •               100% of the prophecies were given over a 2,000 year period, but completely fulfilled in about a 35 year period.
  •               But only 14% were fulfilled in the first 3 years; 85% (6 times more) were fulfilled in about the final 3 years.
  •               But in that 3 year only about half of the remaining prophecies were fulfilled in the years leading up to the last week.
  •               From the Triumphal Entry to Pentecost the remaining, two thirds or 58% of ALL prophecies concerning the First Coming were fulfilled.

The lesson for the Last Days may be the same. After a period of about 2,00 years the “first stage” of prophecies takes place over the largest number of years, then the number of fulfilled prophecies doubles during the “second stage,” and finally, the number of fulfilled prophecies doubles again in the final moments. It mirrors Christ’s teaching of the “birth pangs,” that which comes with greater frequency and intensity the closer we get to the actual Return of Christ.

  1. One of my favorite sermons from my pastor was about this topic and the meaning of “soon” in the verse.

And he said to me, “These words are trustworthy and true. And the Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, has sent his angel to show his servants what must SOON take place.” (Revelation 22:6)

…and, today, how true is the verse below?

They will say, “Where is the promise of his coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all things are continuing as they were from the beginning of creation.”
    (2 Peter 3:4)

But, things do NOT continue as they always have! In the Rev 22:6 verse the word soon or in some translations it says “shortly” is as our word “Tachometer”…i.e; to move at an EVER INCREASING speed. Once end time events start to take place, things will happen faster and faster!!

    It’s happening!!

    • WOW! Lorrie, that is such a good observation. I love how the original language in the bible really explains things in detail. That is why teachers such as Jacob Prasch and Arnold from Ariel Ministries have an advantage over ppl like us because they are Hebrew speakers, and have learnt Greek. It’s always handy to have a concordance too! Absolutely fascinating at how there is so much truth within the written words!
