Here’s an mp3 on “The Traditions of the Elders”…

Christ and The Pharisees

If you were interested in something that I posted about yesterday — Jesus and The Tradition of the Elders – Beresford Job – and want to know and learn more about this most fascinating topic, then you’re in luck.  I have found an mp3 of Beresford Job’s sermon about “The tradition of the Elders”. It’s about 60 minutes long. He goes through systematic teaching on a topic that not only affected Israel at the time of Jesus, but has also found its way into the Church today.

I really do hope that you listen to this audio. But, if you would rather read about it, you can go HERE and read till your heart is content.

  1. Oh… he touches on the aspect of “The Great Synagogue” which taught that these secondary laws were thought to be passed down to Moses by God, to Joshua, to the elders – judges, to the prophets, to the Great Synagogue. This is what the Pharisees were teaching, that these secondary laws were not created as aid to keeping God’s law, but rather it was revealed as a revelation and therefore authoritative.

Now this verse in Revelation makes sense to me:

Rev 2:9 I know thy tribulation, and thy poverty (but thou art rich), and the blasphemy of them that say they are Jews, and they art not, but are a synagogue of Satan.
