The Venus Project

I am RED FLAGGING this post!

I remember when I first became a Christian I was taught about a coming last days kingdom that would have a man at the head who was going to come proclaiming Peace and Security and appear as fixing all the world’s problems. This man appeared as a lamb yet spoke against the Most High God.

Rev 13:11  And I saw another beast coming up out of the earth. And it had two horns like a lamb, but spoke like a dragon.

"He shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvelous things against the God of gods" (Daniel 11:36)

Dan 11:21  And in his estate shall stand up a vile person, to whom they shall not give the honour of the kingdom: but he shall come in peaceably, and obtain the kingdom by flatteries.

Dan 8:25  And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.

Venus project2 I was taught that the last days kingdom will be one that unites religions, commerce and government. There would be a one world currency and all this will be done when the world is crying out because of war, poverty and religious tensions. That pretty much describes our world today doesn’t it?

Anyway, I was on Facebook this morning where I have Christian friends and some who are in no way Christian at all. But I love them all dearly. Because of this I get a general idea what are on peoples minds and how they are evaluating the world and what lens – be it political or lifestyle – they are using to interpret this complex thing called life.

Recently a friend of mine wrote…

in the greater design, we are more than equal….we are one.

She has recently been on some kind of New Age sabbatical and since then she has been very interested in saving the planet, veganism, meditation etc,. Her husband has also questioned life with all it’s complexities and is left off centre too. But today was most interesting. He posted something about a thing called “The Venus Project” and shared a link. With that status update he wrote … the way to the future! This piqued my interest…this Venus Project. So I went to check it out.

Venus projectSurprise, surprise it was about a philosophical movement that is trying to encourage a global utopian life.  The man behind this ‘Venus Project’ is JACQUE FRESCO – a futurist. It should be no surprise to you that JACQUE FRESCO featured in the Zeitgeist movie (see here for a biblical perspective on that movie). The Venus Project wants to do away with what it calls ‘false religious barriers’ that we see today. This particular movement wants to do away with commerce as we know it. In a youtube found HERE you can see how this guy travels around the globe with a message of Peace and Security. In this video, if you are willing to watch it right through, it shows beautiful scenery across the world and in the background there is a song which has a chorus saying … “this is the plan, welcome to the promised land”

Now, I am NOT saying that I think HE is the anti-christ. What I am saying however, is that this a movement that wants to build a global village – a promised land of sorts — that resembles the last days kingdom outlined in biblical prophecy. He is just a pawn and there is a growing amount of people listening and taking heed to this type of answer for today’s global problems.

Here is a youtube where Jacque Fresco is being interviewed that will have those of you who understand biblical prophecy shaking your head and hopefully get you trimming your wicks!

  1. Amazing how popular something can be before it comes around to me! I kind of laughed this guy off at first because his ideas seemed so preposterous but after listening to him and knowing how many “followers” he appears to have does raise red flags!

I can see how society is really being primed to buy into these ideas.

I thought it very interesting…his idea that we needed a new language. It reminded me of the tower of babel and how the whole world spoke one language!

His comments about suffering leading to fascism (a new direction) is certainly an up front issue right now (surreal!).

His idea that as long as money exists there will be corruption.. ie; need for one world economic system.

He is certainly prescribing a utopia. He really believes that as long as people have their needs met that there is no need for law!!

He forgets that people have a sin nature!

You are right.. need to be trimming up our wicks! Thanks Vee for this very interesting post!

    Blessings to you..

  2. I’m not even sure how to respond to this. I didn’t think there were such superstitious people still left in the world. Even my childhood preacher (my family is United Methodist) dismissed the Book of Revelations as either an allegory or a coded message between ancient Christian leaders.

That aside, please don’t dismiss the Venus Project on such spurious grounds. The aim of the project is simple and straight-forward (and very generously Christian): to use existing technologies to create abundance for EVERY human being on the planet. Feed the world; clothe the world; shelter the world. That is all. The other benefits Fresco speaks of–elimination of money and barter, the need for fewer laws, making the concept of war obsolete–are just the probable effects of this change. For instance, it may be that no one would ever have to steal again, because everything could be freely given to them.

I encourage you to contact me on Twitter (@Stoic_Calm) if you’d like to know more. You’ve probably already guessed that I’m a member of the Zeitgeist Movement. The other member’s I’ve spoken with are some of the most generous, intelligent, and socially-minded folks I’ve ever had the pleasure to speak with.

The fundamental tenets of the are in no way incompatible with Christianity. We only seek to advocate a mindset that we are ALL on this planet together, regardless of race or creed, so we should learn to respect it, and all get along.

  3. Wow…those pictures from the “Venus Project” link are just how I imagine the pre-flood world. Which reminds me: have you discovered this book?

Awesome for teaching children (and scoffing adults) about the very real Noah and the worldwide flood. Amazing artistry!

This is going to be some very interesting reading. Good work, Vee!

  4. It does make sense that satan would like to have heralds for his own plans doesn’t it?
People are definitely being primed through circumstances, media etc as well as these ‘heralds’ of the one-world plan.
Jesus did say that many would be deceived and I have read those Scriptures, but it’s always surprising somewhat to me when you actually see the following behind these people growing. Thank God for rescuing us out of darkness or we well might have been in their number!

  5. It is so hard for people to change their deep-rooted, multi-generational beliefs, that just someone with some clever ideas could never do this. It is going to take something as mindblowing as the arrival of humanlike aliens for all the world to willingly follow one leader’s recipe for global utopia. Star

    • And that just proves my point… the one world leader that comes will be the one describe to in the book of Daniel and Revelation. And it doesn’t surprise me one bit that Aliens — the demons that they are — will be a part of this.

  6. Wow. Language that needs no interpretation? The separation of nations is dangerous and wrong? The failure of nations working together, that’s what war is? Bridging the differences?

This babble sounds like a return to pre-Babel conditions and that infamous tower which was all based on a religious system that was in outright rebellion to the Creator of the Universe. This sly message can only be from one source – the father of lies behind the spirit of anti-Christ who deceives the whole world.
