February 11 — Iran may strike…

I just came across this bit of disturbing news…
February 11 marks the anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution in Iran, but Iran’s president is now threatening the west that the 11th will mark a strike against ‘global arrogance.’

With Iranian opposition leaders urging Iran’s citizens to mark the February 11 anniversary of the Islamic Revolution as a symbol of freedom and of broad protest against the regime, Iran’s President Ahmadinejad warned western powers that he intends to strike against their “global arrogance” on February 11th.

But you have to read THIS to find out what possible strike Iran could use. It’s all to do with Iran and its location…

As I have pointed out, if Russia backs the Iranians, it’s an entirely different story, however if they don’t, Iran is hemmed in on two of its borders, by the greatest military force the world has ever seen in that region.

It makes sense to me that America has deployed ships into the region…

Tension between the US and Iran heightened dramatically today with the disclosure that Barack Obama is deploying a missile shield to protect American allies in the Gulf from attack by Tehran.

The US is dispatching Patriot defensive missiles to four countries – Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Kuwait – and keeping two ships in the Gulf capable of shooting down Iranian missiles. Washington is also helping Saudi Arabia develop a force to protect its oil installations. [source]

The middle east is heating up it seems. Time for earnest prayer is now my friends!

  1. Well, the USA has her issues, no doubt but if he’s going to strike against global arrogance he must be talking about himself!! Pride goes before a fall, that’s a fact… all in God’s good judgment and timing.

  2. Interesting times. Joel Rosenberg is calling on Christians to fast and pray this Purim (Feb 28).

    • How’s that Carla… I read Lorrie’s comment and was reminded of Haman is the book of Esther, then I check out Joel Rosenberg’s site and he says…

This is not the first time in history when the Jewish people have been threatened with annihilation from Persian/Iranian leaders who hated them without cause. The Book of Esther tells the story of how two heroic believers — Mordechai and Esther — prayed and fasted and encouraged others to do the same.

In response to those faithful prayers, the Lord intervened in a dramatic and powerful way. The evil Prime Minister of Iran (Haman) was removed from power and hanged. The heart of the Supreme Leader of Iran (King Ahausuerus) was miraculously changed. The Jews did have to fight. But they were saved from destruction and scores of Iranians converted and became true followers of the God of Israel.

That to me sounds like a confirmation if every I have heard one!

      • Yeah, and so far God has never allowed the Hamans of this world to completely succeed with their plots.
