The churches where I live are more pew-fillers and social clubs than anything else. They do nothing to help support a believer. Our family has stopped going to them, for in the end, we have felt that they were actually preaching another Christ.

Scary statistics. We work with a few outreach programs for the poor, and have been told by others in charge of the programs, that their clients definitely have a 'you-owe-me' mentality....

A fabulous article, with much for our consideration.

Narcissistic, selfish, self-centered, egotistical, the list is endless, all symptoms of a lost and dying sin-sick world. The church has neither rescued the perishing nor cared for the dying and in its quest to be tolerant, relevant and all things to all people has helped create what we see today.

Like you said, things are lining up - GET READY AND BE PREPARED.!!.

WOW Lorrie.... That doesn't surprise me about our history about to repeat itself. Perhaps that's why I have been drawn to read the books that I have been reading. I believe its going to become even more dangerous to be a bible believing Christian, and sooner than we think. It will all be about breaking civil laws firstly... like that guy in the US who didn't have a permit to have all those cars regularly turn up for home church. I see that soon enough, we will have to become the Church in the desert.

After awhile though, it will be illegal for bible believing Christians no matter what. How this is going to pan out exactly, I don't know. But we can see things lining up, can't we.

God Bless

Great post. I saw this statement by Laurie as well. I think social engineering is a major pox on society, right along with political correctness; they seem to be 2 sides of the same coin. Those stats on Narcissism are very unfortunate as it is actually more than a mere character flaw of selfishness which is bad enough in itself! Narcissism is actually a pathological personality disorder. These folks can be unimaginably cruel.
Thinking about this phenomenon in our culture today, I can see how a seeker friendly social church would easily succumb to a universal type outreach… don’t want to offend anyone! And, if that Narc person does get offended (something else the bible warns us of) in his religion then watch out. I think we can see this displayed throughout the world today by fanatical false religions.
I was reading yesterday in a biblical publication about how our society is currently very much reflective of historical time periods as they were just before times of reformation. Dangerous days for the true believer. And yet, He promises to be with us, to lead us and to bring us to Himself when all this is behind us!
These are days to be selfless but also uncompromising when it comes to God’s word.
Bless you Vee ♥

An excellent and timely post. It is certainly making me re-examine myself and my attitude.
The Washington Post initially claimed that all of the Internet companies were willingly handing over their user data to the government. Now we are learning that is NOT true. In fact, all of the Internet companies named in the Washington Post story have denied knowing about PRISM or ever giving the federal government permission to directly access their servers. So this means that the U.S. government has been stealing massive amounts of user data from the largest Internet companies in the world without their permission. Of course this is highly illegal and it directly violates the Fourth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, but you can bet that the Obama administration is going to do everything that it can to get the courts to “make it legal”. Hopefully the revelation of this program will be enough to get the American people to realize that we are rapidly being transformed into a Big Brother police state that is descending into tyranny.
