Law – Grace – Law

What is happening in this land of Israel? How are we to understand what is going on? Can the bible help to explain this going back to the Law of Moses and has this been prophesied even by the Old Testament prophets such as Jeremiah, Isaiah, and Daniel? What will be the outcome of the return to OT Law, does the bible explain this too?

Jewish group to slaughter lamb in Passover sacrifice rehearsal

A Bible-adherent Jewish group on Sunday ritually slaughtered a young lamb in what is called a “rehearsal” for the renewal of the Passover sacrifice once the Jerusalem temple is rebuilt.

The Temple Movement won approval to carry out the practice sacrifice from Israel’s High Court on Friday after animal rights groups asserted that the lamb would be put through inhumane suffering.

In its legal response, the Temple Movement explained that the slaughter would be carried out according to biblical standards, which is the same method used to slaughter lambs at kosher slaughterhouses around the country.

The sacrifice and accompanying religious ceremonies were performed at a prominent yeshiva overlooking Jerusalem’s Temple Mount, which is still occupied by several Muslim shrines.

First a little something about the Passover Lamb from a gentile who was allowed to be there and film the whole thing…

Over 3,000 years ago, God brought the people of Israel out of the land of Egypt. He accomplished this by bringing ten devastating plagues upon the Egyptians, the last and greatest of which was the death of the oldest son in each family. God made a way for the Israelites to escape this death by sacrificing a lamb and putting its blood on the doorposts of their houses. Then the angel would “pass over” the house with the blood so that the firstborn would not die. At that time, God commanded the Israelites to celebrate the Passover every year. Each family would choose a lamb on the 10th day of the month of Nisan and on the 14th day, the lamb would be slain. passover lamb

Shortly after the time of Christ, the Jewish temple in Jerusalem was destroyed. Since then, the Jewish people have not been able to follow the command to kill a lamb on Passover. But this year, a group of Jewish people carried out a ritual slaughter in Jerusalem not far from where the temple used to be.

The fact is this last Passover may very well be the first one since AD70 that an actual Lamb was sacrificially slaughtered by priests who are in training for the Third Temple. An eye witness recorded the event on video (warning: it is graphic footage of the actual sacrifice) and the said the following…

As far as I am aware and according to everyone I have talked to this was a very unique sacrifice. Those that I’ve talked to seem to believe that it is the first time they have done a sacrifice like this since the days of the temple, but I have no real way of verifying that. Basically every year they ask the government for permission to do this sacrifice on the Temple Mount (as they did again this year) and every year the government denies them permission because they know such a sacrifice would start World War III. This year they were especially charged because of the killing of 8 Jewish students by a terrorist who were studying to become Rabbi’s. So they decided to do the sacrifice anyways–of course they would have done it on the Temple Mount had they been able to go up there, but they are not allowed by the military.
God has graciously opened the doors for us to interview and actually get to know some of the Jewish Priests. We were able to film a conference that they had here where Cohanim (priests) gathered from all over the world . Their purpose of coming together was to start organizing themselves and begin training for their future activation once the third temple is built. We were the only gentiles at this event as well (actually the only non priests and Levites), but we were allowed to be there as we were filming it for them (and for us at the same time). We were able to interview the DNA scientist at this same conference who discovered what’s called the Cohen Y Chromosome. This is the Y chromosome that identifies the priestly class. So they know who are priests both through their careful traditions of handing down names and DNA testing. Pretty cool stuff.
Anyways, they are actively building furniture for the third temple and training the priesthood for activation. These are facts, as for what exactly it means or when– well I have no idea, but like you I live with the expectation that Jesus is coming soon. Living here in Jerusalem makes this easy to do.

Then I get the following email today from the Temple Institute in regards to Israel’s “Independence Day”…

The nation of Israel is today commemorating the tens of thousands of soldiers who have fallen in battle. They fell while bravely defending the people of Israel from their enemies throughout these first six decades of the reborn nation’s life. With nightfall, Yom HaZikaron – Memorial Day – will be superseded by Yom Atzma-ut – Independence Day. The somber and reflective will be replaced by the celebratory. It is a sudden and jarring transition that never fails, year after year, to provoke a strong emotional and spiritual reckoning: our loss is tempered by our historic gains, our sadness is sweetened with the joy of our return to the land of our fathers.

Yet, in recent years, an increasing number of Jews here in the land of Israel have begun to question whether it is appropriate at all to celebrate the rebirth of the state of Israel. We have indeed suffered many disappointments, the bitterest at the hands of our own leaders.[...]

[...]In spite of the continuing pains of rebirth that this nation is experiencing, and even in spite of all careless and sometimes cruel damage we have inflicted upon ourselves, their is no humanly rational way possible to deny that a great historical and redemptive process is taking place here in the land of Israel. The ongoing ingathering of millions of exiled Jews and ancient Jewish communities from scores of countries the world over dwarfs any temporary setbacks we have met along the way.[...]

Setbacks aside, Israel is racing forward, our date with destiny unfolding before us. Nowhere is this more evident than in the growing longing throughout the world for the rebuilding of the Holy Temple, for the Holy Temple is a crucial and undeniable testimony to G-d’s immanent presence here among the nations. The Holy Temple is proof positive that the loss and suffering that this nation has experienced these past six decades is not in vain. We at the Temple Institute have the unique privilege to both play an active role in G-d’s unfolding cosmic drama, and also to witness, first hand, the nation of Israel awakening to its responsibility in making the Holy Temple a tangible and transcendent reality, here in the land of Israel and throughout the four corners of the world, speedily and in our days. We enjoin you to join us – in celebrating the rebirth in the land of the nation of Israel.

When I hear of such things happening in the Holy Land I always remember what Jacob Prasch says…often material things are a mere reflection of the deeper spiritual things that are taking place.

Life is in the blood…

Heb 9:14-22 how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from dead works so that we may serve the living God! This is why he is the mediator of a new covenant; so that those who are called may receive the eternal inheritance promised them, since a death has occurred that redeems them from the offenses committed under the first covenant. For where there is a will, the death of the one who made it must be established. For a will is in force only when somebody has died, since it never takes effect as long as the one who made it is alive. This is why even the first covenant was not put into effect without blood. For after every commandment in the law had been spoken to all the people by Moses, he took the blood of calves and goats, together with some water, scarlet wool, and branches of hyssop, and sprinkled the scroll and all the people, saying, “This is the blood of the covenant that God ordained for you.” In the same way, he sprinkled with the blood both the tabernacle and everything used in worship. In fact, under the law almost everything is cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of the blood there is no forgiveness.

Heb 9:28 so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people. And he will appear a second time, not to deal with sin, but to bring salvation to those who eagerly wait for him.

Jeremiah spoke about this New Covenant…

Jer 31:31-32 “Behold, the days are coming, declares the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah, not like the covenant that I made with their fathers on the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, my covenant that they broke, though I was their husband, declares the LORD.

The book of Hebrews also speak about the New Covenant — that being Jesus — and prophetically writes about the Old Covenant being ready to vanish away…

Heb 8:13 In speaking of a new covenant, he makes the first one obsolete. And what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.

This New Covenant is an everlasting one. John Gill explains it well…

[...]that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house Judah; by this “covenant” is meant the covenant of called new, not because newly made, for it was with the elect in Christ from everlasting; so early was Christ set up as the Mediator of it; and so early were promises made, and blessings given, to them in him: nor because newly revealed; for it was made known to all the saints, more or less, under the former dispensation, particularly to David, to Abraham, yea, to our first parents immediately after the fall, though more clearly manifested under the Gospel dispensation; but because of its new mode of exhibition; not by types, and shadows, and sacrifices, as formerly; but by the ministry of the word, and the administration of Gospel ordinances; and in distinction from the former covenant, which is done away, as to the mode of it; and because it is a famous covenant, an excellent one, a better covenant, best of all; better than the covenant of works, and even better than the covenant of grace, under the former administration; in the clear manifestation and extensive application of it; and in the ratification of it by the blood of Christ; besides, it provides and promises new things, as a new heart, and a new spirit; to which may be added, that it may be called new, because it is always new; it continues, it stands firm, as Kimchi observes, and shall not be made void; it will never be succeeded nor antiquated by any other covenant, or any other mode of administration of it. (Gill)

So my thought on this is the following…If the Third Temple is built and along with it the commencement of the legalistic temple sacrifices start, this could very well be the approaching end of what is known in the bible as the “Fullness of the Gentiles”. This fullness of the Gentiles has been reached under Grace. In the future the very real possibility of Law returns to execute judgement towards an unbelieving Israel.

Rom 11:25 Lest you be wise in your own sight, I want you to understand this mystery, brothers: a partial hardening has come upon Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.

Are we approaching that fullness?

Noahide Laws could be Global laws for all citizens of the World!

redflag1.gifredflag1.gifredflag1.gifredflag1.gif

I was just cruising my faves, and Bonnie from the blog ‘For the Author’ has just written one post that is a real eye opener. She certainly has done her homework on this one.

She is speaking about the Noahide Laws, and of them she writes…

It is interesting to note that the Noahide Laws can also be found in the religion of Islam, making it possible for this to be a point of unity between the Jews and Arabs at some future date. I came across this information while I was doing some research on my articles, THE GOLDEN RULE TWISTED, (Parts 1 and 2, and the addendum). I discovered that the Noahide Laws have been equated with the Golden Rule by some. The Noahide Laws have also been called The Covenant of the Rainbow. For a good overview of the Noahide Laws, click HERE.

She is also coming to realise that maybe these laws are the ones that Daniel the Prophet speaks about when he said…

Dan 7:25 And he shall speak words against the Most High, and he shall wear out the saints of the Most High. And he intends to change times and law. And they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and one half time.

She speaks about the Sanhedrin’s role in instituting these laws…

While George Bush was in the Middle East this month, the newly formed Sanhedrin was also meeting to discuss the Noahide Laws on the week he was there. (Read the January 10th article, Sanhedrin Recognizes Council to Teach Humanity ‘Laws of Noah’ in the Israel National News for yourself).

She has also documented the punishment for not following the Noahide Law, one of which is death by beheading. This is from the official Bnei Noah Site.

I too, have wondered about these laws and have found it interesting that the Temple has to be rebuilt in order for these laws to come into effect. For this to happen there is the problem of the Dome of the Rock. But this is not so much of a problem when you consider that the Dome of the Rock can stay just where it is, and be classed as the court of Gentiles according to Prof. Joseph Patrich who got back to me with an email and said this… It is outside the temple court, but still within the screen barring gentile entrance.

Much, much more is written in Bonnie’s post. Be sure to read this eye opener of a post!

I am Red Flagging this one big time!!!

redflag1.gifredflag1.gifredflag1.gifredflag1.gif

Just to note, I am making a new category called ‘The Sanhedrin’, I have an uneasy feeling that ‘The Sanhedrin’ will play a big role in introducing a false peace and a kingdom built by the fallen one.

Megillat Bush – The Bush Scroll presented by the Sanhedrid

This is a ‘Red Flag Post’

redflag1.gifredflag1.gifredflag1.gifredflag1.gif

When President Bush visited Israel he was greeted with many people holding posters like this…

bushreadbible.jpg

Although Bush said that he came to the land of Israel as a Pilgrim after being asked by Archbishop Elias Shakur, the Greek Catholic clergyman who showed Bush around the site, “Did you come as a politician, as a leader of state, or as a pilgrim?” The Sanhedrin have gone one step further and have shocked many by calling Bush ‘The Chief of Prince of Meshech and Tubal’. In a scroll entitled ‘The Megillat Bush- The Bush Scroll‘ the Sanhedrin have called on Bush to consider the biblical land of Israel very carefully, as the whole world will be effected by the division of Israel, even so far as saying that the world could be led into catastrophic danger if Israel is divided…

In the Name of the Lord, Eternal God

To The Honorable Mr. George W. Bush,
President of the United States of America,

Who comes seeking the presence of the Most High God, to Jerusalem, city of God, Divinely chosen site of the Holy Temple, eternal capital of our land, “the joy of the entire earth (Psalms 48:3),” may it be rebuilt and established speedily and in our days, Amen!

Esteemed Mr. George W. Bush, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal (Ezekiel 38:1), leader of the west!

Upon your arrival in Jerusalem you have the ability to make a declaration, as did Cyrus, King of Persia – whose memory is honored – who in the year 538 BCE returned the exiled nations to their lands and recognized the full right of the Jewish people to reestablish their Holy Temple, the “house of prayer for all nations” (Isaiah 56:7), and called upon them to return to their land,

And in the manner of Lord James Balfour of England, who in 1917, called upon the Jews to reestablish a national homeland in the Land of Israel.

And thus if you truly desire peace and benevolence, and you would be counted in the company of the truly righteous, we call upon you to declare to all the world:

The Land of Israel was bequeathed to the nation of Israel by the Creator of the world. Neither could I, as a son of my faith, nor the Muslims according to their faith, ever take away even the slightest grain from the Eternal’s gift, which He gave to His people Israel, the eternal people. Thus I call upon all the nations to save themselves from certain doom, to return and recognize That this land is the exclusive rightful inheritance of the people of Israel, as is written in the Torah of Israel, which constitutes the very foundation of our faith, as well as that of Islam; and is the basis for the decisions of the community of nations. He who denies this truth endangers all life on earth.

Zechariah 12:1-4
The burden of the word of the LORD concerning Israel. Thus declares the LORD who stretches out the heavens, lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him, “Behold, I am going to make Jerusalem a cup that causes reeling to all the peoples around; and when the siege is against Jerusalem, it will also be against Judah. “It will come about in that day that I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples; all who lift it will be severely injured. And all the nations of the earth will be gathered against it. “In that day,” declares the LORD, “I will strike every horse with bewilderment and his rider with madness. But I will watch over the house of Judah, while I strike every horse of the peoples with blindness.

Ezekiel 38:2-8
“Son of man, set your face toward Gog of the land of Magog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him and say, `Thus says the Lord GOD, “Behold, I am against you, O Gog, prince of Rosh, Meshech and Tubal. “I will turn you about and put hooks into your jaws, and I will bring you out, and all your army, horses and horsemen, all of them splendidly attired, a great company with buckler and shield, all of them wielding swords; Persia, Ethiopia and Put with them, all of them with shield and helmet; Gomer with all its troops; Beth-togarmah from the remote parts of the north with all its troops–many peoples with you. “Be prepared, and prepare yourself, you and all your companies that are assembled about you, and be a guard for them. “After many days you will be summoned; in the latter years you will come into the land that is restored from the sword, whose inhabitants have been gathered from many nations to the mountains of Israel which had been a continual waste; but its people were brought out from the nations, and they are living securely, all of them.

Luke 21:24b
[...]Jerusalem will be trampled under foot by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.
1 Thessalonians 5:3a (HCSB) When they say, “Peace and security,” then sudden destruction comes on them

Jeremiah 8:11
“They heal the brokenness of the daughter of My people superficially, Saying, `Peace, peace,’ But there is no peace.

Psalms 122:6a
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem

The world has not really taken much notice of this visit, but I am pretty sure that the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is watching very closely at all the key players who are ready to carve up the land that He gave to the apple of His eye.

Deu 32:910 But the LORD’s portion is his people, Jacob his allotted heritage. “He found him in a desert land, and in the howling waste of the wilderness; he encircled him, he cared for him, he kept him as the apple of his eye.

David Hocking has recently said in an email that I got the other day…

The President has said publicly some very shocking things for the people of Israel. He speaks as though he has a right to demand Israel to do what he says. He has referred to them as the “aggressor” and that they are in control of what he has called “occupied” territories that belong to Islam. His ignoring of Biblical history and prophecy is quite shocking to the citizens and politicians of Israel. We are also very disturbed. These events are moving us ever closer to the predictions of Daniel 9:24-27. We all need wisdom and dependence upon the word of God! Remember the warning of I Thessalonians 5:1-3! Please pray for our President and all who are with him on this strategic and important mission in the Middle East.

And you can read the following at Dr David Hocking’s blog

he said, “The point of departure for permanent status negotiations…seems clear: There should be an end to the occupation that began in 1967.”

By making this point, President Bush has let the Palestinians off the hook. While the President refers to the “Roadmap” he is simply giving the Palestinians a free pass on the central provision that the first stage of the Roadmap is the successful end to terror strikes against Israel. This, everyone knows, has never happened.

Instead Israel is now the “aggressor” that must make the most important concessions. Israel must move its defense forces out of what Bush calls the “occupied” territories. Israel security concerns are skimmed over with statements calling on the Palestinians to control terror. Something they have never done. And to add insult to injury Bush clearly states that he believes Israel must loosen its control of Jerusalem.

Temple Building

redflag1.gifredflag1.gifredflag1.gifredflag1.gif
As you know the High Priest’s crown has been made. I wonder who will wear the crown and when this will happen?

And the blueprints for the temple are being put together…

In addition, we have begun work on architectural blueprints for the Third Temple, including cost projection, modern supplies, electricity, plumbing, computers, etc.”

And what about the Menorah…?

Menorah Moves Closer to Temple Mount
Rabbi Richman noted that in less than two weeks from now, on Rosh Chodesh Tevet, the famous Menorah (candelabrum) – suitable for use in the Holy Temple, familiar to visitors to the Cardo section of the Old City of Jerusalem – will be relocated to the landing of the wide staircase that leads down from the Jewish Quarter to the Western Wall. It will be protected inside the same type of glass structure that now houses it.

Well, take a look at this…[click on the thumbnail to get a much bigger picture]

menorah_new.jpg a never before published glimpse of the golden menorah, at the very moment of its completion. Behind the three kneeling craftsmen stand three of the Temple Institute Rabbis.

The golden-plate Menorah stands overlooking the menorah.jpgWestern Wall, adjacent to the steps in the Old City’s Jewish Quarter. Based on years of extensive historical and Jewish legal research, the magnificent piece is the first ever to be built since the destruction of the Second Temple, thousands of years ago.

While all of this is happening, we still have the problem of certain governments not even recognising Israel’s right to exist… see Here for a photo and read the banner behind Palestinian Prime Minister of the Hamas government in Gaza, Ismail Haniyeh.

Turbulent times ahead me thinks…

To download a video about the High Priest crown go Here. This is a very significant moment as the two Rabbis speak about this crown you can see the crown situated on a a table between the two of them.

The tribe of Levi and the coming ‘Third Temple’

redflag1.gifredflag1.gifredflag1.gifredflag1.gif
I received this from Koinonia House in my email box a few days ago.

THE TRIBE OF LEVI AND THE COMING THIRD TEMPLE

A group of Jews believed to be members of the ancient tribe of Levi gathered in Jerusalem last week to edify one another and to bless Israel. There is more to the gathering than a simple family reunion, however. Moses and Aaron were Levites, and the sons of Aaron were called to be the priests of Israel and to minister in the Temple. These descendants of the priestly line of Israel cannot gather together without awakening the hope for rebuilding the Temple.

The Romans destroyed the Temple in Jerusalem in A.D. 70 and, ever since, the priests of Israel have felt a keen hole in their calling. The sons of Aaron were given the job of ministering in the Temple and serving as priests to Israel, not just for a set period, but forever:

“…and the priest’s office shall be theirs for a perpetual statute: and thou shalt consecrate Aaron and his sons.” -Exodus 29:9

“And he shall have it, and his seed after him, even the covenant of an everlasting priesthood; because he was zealous for his God, and made an atonement for the children of Israel.” – Numbers 25:13

Yet, for nearly 2000 years there has been no Temple in Jerusalem, and the Dome of the Rock sits on the Temple Mount. Yet, certain groups like the Temple Mount Faithful and members of the Tribe of Levi wait with hopeful expectation for the day when the Temple will be rebuilt.

When that day comes, the Aaronic priests, a “Cohen” in Hebrew, will be necessary to minister in the Temple. They also serve another vital function; no Jew will be able to enter the Temple to worship without first going through ritual purification, which can only be accomplished by a Cohen.

The Cohen-Levi family members who gathered in Jerusalem last week believe that they are direct descendants of Aaron, qualified to perpetuate the priestly holy calling once the Temple is rebuilt. They point to DNA research that has demonstrated that members of the Cohen family scattered across the world have a common set of genetic markers on the Y chromosome – which is passed from father to son without recombination.

Certain religious Jews note that there are many problems still standing in the way of building the Temple, not the least of which is Muslim opposition. There are also questions about the exact location of the First and Second Temples, the precise spot to put the altar, the ability to assemble a Sanhedrin to appoint a high priest, and other vital issues.

They, like us, await the arrival of Elijah and the Messiah, who will answer all questions and put everything right.

The lack of a Temple in Jerusalem is no difficulty for the Christian. Paul pointed out that our bodies are the Temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Cor. 6:19). We have a High Priest who has passed through the heavens, and who sits on the right hand of God interceding for us (Heb. 4:14; 7:25-28; 8:1). We do not need the blood of lambs and goats to cover our sin, for we serve the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world (John 1:29; Heb. 9:12-14).

We do await, however, the rebuilding of the Third Temple. The Bible indicates it will be will be defiled by the Man of Sin (Matt. 24:15; 2 Thess 2:4) before Christ returns to set up his Millennial Kingdom. There is still a future purpose for the Temple in the service of the LORD, as the throne of the Messiah.

I have posted my thoughts on the Sanhedrin’s role in the building of the third temple before:

Also Carla has given me a link to an article called ‘The Rebirth of the Sanhedrin‘ by Dr. David R. Reagan. Where he says:

One member, Rabbi Chaim Richman of Jerusalem, stated that many “cardinal issues” were being placed on the council’s agenda, including moral issues like abortion and agunot (estranged women whose husbands refuse to give them a divorce). Other issues to be considered in the future included the following:

  • Determining the council’s decision-making procedures.
  • Renewing the annual Passover sacrifice. (I have previously posted on this)
  • Determining the precise length of the biblical cubit.
  • Determining the precise location of the Temple. (I have previously posted on this)
  • Ruling on the legality of the proposed disengagement from Gaza and Samaria.
  • Considering the status of “lost” Jewish tribes.
  • Unifying Shephardic and Ashkenazi religious practices.
  • Restoring the Davidic monarchy.

To think that before 1948 all of this was just a pipe dream and now there are serious considerations about the building of the third temple. To think that the ‘Sanhedrin‘ has after 1600 years convened in the very same generation that witnessed the re-birth of Israel, is of amazing prophetic significance.

Some people say that it will be the return of ‘Ark of the Covenant‘ that will be the precusor to the building of the temple. Some say that Ethiopia has the ‘Ark of the Covenant’, while others say it is under the temple mount. Some say a copper scroll found in the qumran caves in 1952 say that the Ark may be in the valley of the kings.

Who knows where it is, or even if it will be found? One thing for sure — if it is found — it would certainly make world headline news!

Strumming to the Third Temple

redflag1.gifredflag1.gifredflag1.gifredflag1.gif

Shoshana and Micha Harari, an American Israeli couple are building an ancient harp to be used in the Third Temple. Harari received the sum of $25,000 from the Temple Institute to fund the construction of the musical instrument.

As Shoshana strums the harp in their workshop at Moshav Ramat Raziel, Micha explains the importance of harp music and its benefical effect to the mood and spirituality.

While millions of dollars have been invested into the building plans of the Third Temple, the main concern will be when the time comes, where to build it as the compound where the temple once stood houses the two most holy shrines in Islam, the Dome of the Rock and the Al Aksa Mosque.

Where will the temple stand is a good question. I have posted about this before in a post called ‘The Sanhedrin pushes for a Temple for Global Peace!‘ and another post called ‘The Sanhedrin – the Lamb – and the Temple‘.

The ‘Temple Institute‘ is gathering together all the sacred vessels and vestments. It is dedicated to the rebuilding of the third temple. Apparently they have 70 of the 93 articles needed for this temple. Very serious stuff!

The Sanhedrin pushes for a Temple for Global Peace!

redflag1.gifredflag1.gifredflag1.gifredflag1.gif
It seems that I am always referring to some older posts of mine, and yes, I am about to do that again.

In the last few days I have had and article called ‘The Sanhedrin’s peace initiative’ saved in my bookmarks because I thought it was blog worthy. It is certainly interesting news for those who follow biblical prophecy or Israeli politics which happens to send out a rippling effect on a global scale that we all feel.

Well, after reading it again and because of the possibility of another intifada breaking out against Israel I thought now would be an appropriate time to post on this article. The article, to which I will get to later, speaks about the Sanhedrin’s World Peace Plan and their hopes for a Temple to be built in Jerusalem.

Building an opportunity really means building the Third Temple – Who will take the throne?

In my old post called ‘The Sanhedrin – the Lamb – and the Temple‘ I wrote about the very real possibility of the third temple being
sanhedrintemple.jpgbuilt and how Sanhedrin will play a role in this, as they are the ones that want to bring in the priestly laws and the Temple Laws of sacrifice. To do this they must have a temple. (My post ‘The Sanhedrin – the Lamb – and the Temple’ explains a lot more about this – see above link to be redirected to that post)

[...]the Sanhedrin will evaluate the coming so called ‘messiah’ according to the law and they are now taking all the necessary steps toward building the opportunity for a King in our lifetime:

The Gospels say Jesus was brought before the Sanhedrin so its members could assess his messianic claims. This current Sanhedrin also sees as one of its goals to evaluate any potential messianic contender. “There is no redemption without the Sanhedrin,” said Stein. “We are building the opportunity for a king (messiah).”

In that post, I talk further about the temples location and the implications for all of us who are not Jewish and are considered to be Gentiles. I also also spoke about its prophetic significance according to the prophet Daniel found in the Jewish Bible/Old Testament and what this temple may usher in. A world leader a messianic government type of leader that can bring in world peace, one that could be the Messiah hoped for in all three major religions (again, how you will see this world leader depends very much on your eschatology). In my post I wrote the following.

They would need a temple built on the temple mount for these laws to be in their eyes truly effective, and we do know that there is the ‘Temple Mount Institute that has all the temple vestments and vessels necessary to have a fully operational temple very soon. Some say that the temple could be built in as little as three months, while others say that the temple does not need to be where the Dome of the Rock is now situated.

According to an article called ‘The Sanhedrin’s Peace Initiative’ that I will quote from, this temple comes with a promise or at least a much hoped for World Peace’. redflag1.gifThis is Red Flag Worthy! The Sanhedrin are asking all the worlds leaders to help them in their endeavour, even the Iranian President will get a letter of Peace.

[...]Jewish group devoted to rebuilding Temple in Jerusalem to send letters to all world leaders, including Arab ones, inviting them to take part in project, attend conference on Temple Mount in Israel.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who has been gearing up for an Israeli offensive in recent months, is bound to be surprised by the peace feelers he is set to receive from Jerusalem soon.

Without Saudi mediation or diplomatic procedures, the president will get a “Letter of Love and Peace”, accompanied by a historic invitation to visit Jerusalem, from The Supreme Judicial Court of the Jewish People, better known as the Sanhedrin.

In recent days, the group members have drafted a letter that will be translated into 70 languages and sent to all government institutions in the world, including “the sons of Esau and Ishmael” who do not hold diplomatic ties with Israel.

Jews responsible for world peace
In the letter, the rabbis of the self-proclaimed Sanhedrin warn that the world is nearing a catastrophe, and write that the only way to bring peace among nations, states, and religions is by building a house for God, where Jews will worship, pray and offer up sacrifice, according to the vision of the prophets.

I have a sneaking suspicion…. this isn’t the last time we will hear from the Sanhedrin, do you?

The Sanhedrin – the Lamb – and the Temple

redflag1.gifredflag1.gifredflag1.gifredflag1.gif
As we are getting closer to the passover I thought I would share with you something that I found recently concerning the Sanhedrin. The Sanhedrin is a group of 71 orthodox men who revived the court a little more than two years ago. They were around in Christ’s day and were the ones who had to okay the paschal lamb for the passover every year.

‘Sanhedrin’ means ’sitting together’ or ‘council’ and in the New Testament they were described as being the ‘chief priests and elders of the people’. Jesus, the Messiah, was brought to the chief priests/Sanhedrin who sought after a false witnesses against Jesus’ claims to be Messiah, according to Matthew 26:59 so that they could find Him guilty and could then put him to death. He was unjustly put to death according to their own law which states that there must be two or three true witnesses, there were no testimonies against Jesus but there were plenty of false witnesses that came forward, as it states in Matthew:

Mat 26:59 And the chief priests and the elders and the whole sanhedrin looked for false testimony against Jesus, so that they might put Him to death,
Mat 26:60 but did not find any, even though there were many false witnesses coming forward…

All the council sought false witness – What a prostitution of justice! – they first resolve to ruin him, and then seek the proper means of effecting it: they declare him criminal, and after that do all they can to fix some crime upon him, that they may appear to have some shadow of justice on their side when they put him to death. It seems to have been a common custom of this vile court to employ false witness, on any occasion, to answer their own ends. Clarke

Even though this Sanhedrin did not accept the Messianic title of Jesus/Yeshua, Christ warned that they will accept another in his name, and that being the anti-christ of the last days:

Joh 5:43 I have come in the name of My Father, and you do not receive Me. If another comes in his own name, you will receive that one

Interestingly, the Sanhedrin will evaluate the coming so called ‘messiah’ according to the law and they are now taking all the necessary steps toward building the opportunity for a King in our lifetime:

The Gospels say Jesus was brought before the Sanhedrin so its members could assess his messianic claims. This current Sanhedrin also sees as one of its goals to evaluate any potential messianic contender. “There is no redemption without the Sanhedrin,” said Stein. “We are building the opportunity for a king (messiah).”

We want all the world,” Stein said, “to walk with God.” (see below link)

Well, this same Sanhedrin wants to revive the passover lamb, to re-establish the paschal sacrifice.

As Easter eclipses the last days of Passover this year, Christians will focus again on the sacrifice and resurrection of Jesus. The Sanhedrin, meanwhile, will literally attempt to resurrect the Passover sacrifice of old.

For these Jews, the sacrificial Passover offering is not their redemption per se, yet it is vital to the process.

The Passover sacrifice is the latest of more than 40 legal decisions issued by the modern Sanhedrin. Seventy-one Orthodox men revived the court more than two years ago in the city of Tiberius, the same geographical spot they believe marked the final days of the Sanhedrin a few hundred years after the time of Jesus.

In antiquity, the Sanhedrin determined Jewish practice. It now rules on political and religious issues and ultimately sees itself as an alternative to the secular Supreme Court of Israel. It hopes to impose Jewish law on the Jewish people and the seven “Noahide laws — prohibitions on theft, murder, blasphemy and others, based on Jewish teaching — on Gentile nations.

So the Sanhedrin wants to impose Jewish law, not only on the Jewish people, but also on the Gentile nations. redflag1.gifDoes anybody else see a red flag waving???

This is interesting because of what Daniel the prophet says about the coming changes of times and of laws:

Dan 7:25 And he shall speak words against the Most High, and he shall wear out the saints of the Most High. And he intends to change times and law. And they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and one half time.

Now my brain is clicking over and over with this verse. I have always wondered what times and what laws are to be changed by the ruler of this worldly kingdom, that being the anti-christ, which Daniel is speaking about. Could it be that the Sanhedrin eventually will okay a Messiah for the Jews and Gentiles? Could it be that the Sanhedrin will also institute the times of the law outlined in the Torah?

They would need a temple built on the temple mount for these laws to be in their eyes truly effective, and we do know that there is the ‘Temple Mount Institutedometemple.pngthat has all the temple vestments and vessels necessary to have a fully operational temple very soon. Some say that the temple could be built in as little as three months, while others say that the temple does not need to be where the Dome of the Rock is now situated. They say that it leaves the Dome of the Rock outside of the confines of the Holy Temple, but from what I can see in the above diagram, the Dome of the Rock overlays the court of the Gentiles (Patrich’s reconstruction of Temple in 1st century A.D. overlaid on modern Temple Mount. Octagonal feature is Dome of the Rock. Diagram is oriented east up. Courtesy Hebrew University. (Drawing by Leen Ritmeyer))

Daniel explains further concerning this time,he says that there will be a regular sacrifice, and that they will be stopped when the abomination that desolates the temple is set up (read Maccabees I and II for a shadow of things to come, very helpful and a fantastic historical type of anti-christ is documented in the Maccabean revolt before the time of Christ):

Dan 12:11 And from the time the regular sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that desolates set up, a thousand, two hundred and ninety days shall occur.

Notice that this 1290 days is explained more in this verse found in Revelation:

Rev 11:2 And cast aside the outside court of the temple, and do not measure it. For it was given to the nations (meaning Gentiles), and they will trample the holy city forty two months.

What I found after looking closely at this verse is that the outer court or the court of the Gentiles is to be cast aside, and is fact to be not to be measured at all. I have read many explanations concerning the un-measured outer court, but because the outer court of gentiles could well be including the Dome of the Rock then perhaps they are not allowed to measure because of the outrage by the Islamic community? Perhaps this anti-christ temple will be so inclusive that it will include the Dome of the Rock inside the gentile court. These are just questions that I have asking myself of late, and I know that they will be answered in time. Here is what one explanation concerning the above verse it speaks about the outer court/court of the Gentiles and gives further insight.

The court (tēn aulēn). The uncovered yard outside the house. There were usually two, one between the door and the street, the outer court, the other the inner court surrounded by the buildings (Mar_14:66). This is here the outer court, “which is without the temple” (tēn exōthen tou naou), outside of the sanctuary, but within the hieron where the Gentiles could go (carrying out the imagery of the Jerusalem temple).
Leave without (ekbale exōthen). Literally, “cast without” (second aorist active imperative of ekballō.
Do not measure it (mē autēn metrēsēis). Prohibition with mē and the first aorist active (ingressive) subjunctive of metreō. This outer court is left to its fate. In Herod’s temple the outer court was marked off from the inner by “the middle wall of partition” (to mesoitoichon tou phragmou, Eph_2:15), beyond which a Gentile could not go. In this outer court was a house of prayer for the Gentiles (Mar_11:17), but now John is to cast it out and leave to its fate (given to the Gentiles in another sense) to be profaned by them. Robertsons Word Pictures Commentary.

I find this to be very interesting indeed. It seems to me, that if this temple is built according to these maps, then the Dome of the Rock (which is inside the court of the Gentiles, correct me if I am wrong, but that is what it looks like to me and just as a side note I have emailed Prof. Joseph Patrich and am waiting on a reply) shall be left alone and will not to be measured as scripture indicates. This temple may satisfy the Sanhedrin (time will tell), and the gentile Muslims would still have their Dome. An all inclusive place of worship for Jews, Muslims and for those Kingdom Now Christians who don’t know any better, they will think that the kingdom has arrived with PEACE finally being ushered in between all three major religions. The social gospel will have prevailed after all!

Back to the paschal Lamb, I will heed to the words that came from John the Baptist in the spirit of Elijah and I will remember this Lamb especially in light of today’s conflicts and I will thank Him for His sacrifice:

Joh 1:29 On the morrow, John sees Jesus coming toward him and said, Behold! The Lamb of God, taking away the sin of the world!
