WHO DOES WHAT
A man and his wife were having an argument about who
should brew the coffee each morning.
The wife said, ‘You should do it, because you get up first,
and then we don’t have to wait as long to get our coffee.’
The husband said, ‘ You are in charge of cooking around here and
you should do it, because that is your job, and I can just wait for my coffee.’
Wife replies, ‘No, you should do it, and besides, it is in the Bible
that the man should do the coffee.’
Husband replies, ‘I can’t believe that, show me.’
So she fetched the Bible, and opened the New Testament
and showed him at the top of several pages, that it indeed says……….’HEBREWS’

This is just a test to see if this new application feature with WordPress actually works. The trouble is I have my Facebook account linked to get my posts from WordPress and my twitter account to post things to Facebook. So, I am not really sure if this post will post once or twice to Facebook…
So if this posts twice I have to disable the WordPress to Facebook thing… which for the life of me I cannot remember how I set it up in the first place!!! Oh dear, this could take hours for me to get things to run smoothly.
Wish me luck!

Skeleton tree against the blue and pink…
What secrets does the night time keep
Time flies by, as you stand still
Birds they sing, their nigh time shrill
Skeleton tree against the blue and pink…
Tell me your tales and what you think

Mat 6:28 And why do you worry about clothes? Consider the lilies in the field and how they grow. They don’t work or spin yarn,
Mat 6:29 but I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was clothed like one of them.
Mat 6:30 Now if that is the way God clothes the grass in the field, which is alive today and thrown into an oven tomorrow, won’t he clothe you much better-you who have little faith?
Mat 6:31 "So don’t ever worry by saying, ‘What are we going to eat?’ or ‘What are we going to drink?’ or ‘What are we going to wear?’
Mat 6:32 For it is the gentiles who are eager for all those things. Surely your heavenly Father knows that you need all of them!
Mat 6:33 But first be concerned about God’s kingdom and his righteousness, and all of these things will be provided for you as well.
Mat 6:34 So never worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."

Oh Oliver, let’s go down…
down to the river and pray.
That this old life gets washed away…
wash it away.
Rom 6:4 We were buried therefore with him through baptism unto death: that like as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life.

WordPress had given us a very useful tool today. The RSS widget. This will provide you the reader with a quick way to obtain my blog feed URLs and subscribe to them as you wish (via a web browser or RSS reader, like Google Reader).
This is a good way to get updates straight away without having to come directly to my website.
The RSS widget can be found in the second sidebar under the “About Me” section of this blog. Just click on the red buttons to initiate the feeds! It’s that simple!

I sit at the window.
running through the times
round and round they go.
pitter pat droplets run
make a race, which one will fall.
dampness all around
the wind it howls…
Bellowing through my window.
around the trees
the leaves do blow.
dance the dance
round and round it goes.
the grass it bends to and fro
droplets fly
crystal diamonds in the sky.
wispy darkness
mystery night…
Darkness through my window.
oceans heave
enticing first time maidens.
surface tensions
upon the shore.
tempest comes
I shake in waiting…
my wondrous love, my window.

Keys
their fingers reach out
to find truth hidden
that hidden treasure of old
scribes write of such things.
Bring out the old to us the new
that treasure which does not rust is found.
rejoice – a new created
the ancient of days smiles
the angels sing
can you hear
can you hear them?
It’s been awhile since I have written anything that resembled poetry. But here you go. My attempt for the day. Thanks must go to Lorrie from Grow up Deep for inspiring me today. RAP poetry is an acronym for Random Act of Poetry. Give it a shot!

When I read what was written by Marsha West I was reminded of the verse…
1Co 2:14 and the natural man doth not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for to him they are foolishness, and he is not able to know them , because spiritually they are discerned
The natural man is the unregenerate, one who has the spirit of the world, one not born anew of water and of the Spirit. Man is a triune being–body, soul and spirit. The natural man is under the dominion of the soul, the animal life. The spirit must be stirred from its dormant condition, and born again, before one can comprehend the things of the Spirit.[The Peoples New Testament]
Before I came to know Christ in a saving way I was a liberal "Christian." (That was before the liberals coined the term "progressive Christian.") As all liberals do, I molded Christianity into my worldview. Problem was I kept running into a road block — the Bible. I rarely read the Bible but when I did I’d invariably stumble on a passage that contradicted what, at the time, was "true for me." I admit it troubled me but I chose to ignore what I’d read and remained steadfast in my mission to form Christianity into my way of thinking, come hell or high water.
As a radical feminist I was unapologetically pro-choice and loved to spout off about a woman’s right to "choose" to have an abortion. Then one day I got into a discussion with a Christian friend who supported the pro-life position. In our discussions I proudly parroted all the pro-abortion talking points. What did this Christian do? She calmly and lovingly shredded my dogmatic assertions with the "sword of the Spirit," the Word of God! Although it was hard to argue with the clear teaching of Scripture I stubbornly persisted in my beliefs.
The unregenerate heart, says Pastor Way, "has no regard for God’s Word and is in rebellion against God’s Word and God’s promises." The unregenerate heart cannot know God. That’s because human beings are born with a sin nature that alienates us from God. Sinful creatures are unable to attain God’s righteousness apart from regeneration. Regeneration occurs when a person is born again. In other words, when someone comes to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as his or her Savior, he or she is newly regenerate. (Rom 5:8-10) The regenerate Christian is Spirit led and seeks to live a godly and holy life as outlined in the Bible.[source]

Who would have thought that a with just a few characters – 140 to be precise – you could make such a difference. I do have a twitter account and I have to say that I have found some very good articles and points of view from all over the world via other twitter’s. Not only that, but if you set up your twitter account to your facebook account anything that you twit will automatically appear on your profile, any links that you find any posts that you make on your blog etc.
Facebook for me has been another place that has a wealth of good information that people have come across. Let me say this though, facebook can contain a lot of rubbish too. But I have facebook friends like “Answers in Genesis”, “Lambert Dolphin” and “Raymond Gano” all of which put out some very needed information for bible believing Christians concerning a large range of topics.
Here are a couple of quotes taken concerning the power of twitter…
WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The U.S. State Department said on Tuesday it had contacted the social networking service Twitter to urge it to delay a planned upgrade that would have cut daytime service to Iranians who are disputing their election.
Confirmation that the U.S. government had contacted Twitter came as the Obama administration sought to avoid suggestions it was meddling in Iran’s internal affairs as the Islamic Republic battled to control deadly street protests over the election result.
Twitter and Facebook have been used as a tool by many young people to coordinate protests over the election’s outcome. [source]
The last few days have seen users of the Internet (and Twitter in particular) flex their muscles in ways that I would not have imagined only a few months ago. Over the weekend, users of Twitters blasted CNN over its lack of coverage of the Iranian elections and the accompanying protests over claims of ballot fraud. Twitter users even adopted the hashtag #CNNfail to highlight a lack of Iran coverage from the news giant. In response, CNN was forced to defend itself and upped its coverage.
Today, it was Twitter’s turn to be on the receiving end of the negative hashtag #NoMaintenance, as Twitter users, including those in Iran, pleaded with the social network to postpone a 90-minute network upgrade scheduled for this evening. Twitter is proving to be one of the few ways that Iranians are able to contact the outside world with reports of the protests against the election results. [source]
On a personal note, I do have people who read the articles that I put up… and the feedback that I get is that they have been challenged by them and have liked them which is a good thing. So, if you are a twitterer and/or facebooker keep the news coming, keep up the pressure and keep posting challenging articles on your blogs, or from other sources that you may find on the WWW linking them to these social networks. You may be making a huge difference!
