~~~ They say to create a successful blog you should stick to one theme. Well, I find that incredibly hard to do. Reason being - that would put me into a blog box of one dimension of which I am not. So, with that in mind I will attempt to tell ... Continue reading »
I wanted so much to go hug that sister and tell her that I’ll pray for her, reassure her to put her faith and trust in Christ Jesus, that He shall see her through…
I’m angry, very very angry towards these liars who prey on the weak and the desperate! In my books they are as bad as, if not worse than those vipers who preyed on widows!
Dear isaiah,
I have a Masters in Psychology from Cambridge University so I am not uncritical or gullible. But I was in that meeting and many others in Lakeland and I find it hard to identify with your spirit of bitterness and anger.
Jesus did partial healings - he spat in the blind mans eyes and smeared mud and the man’s healing was partial at first - he saw “men moving as trees”. But then Jesus sent him to wash in a pool - that was not round the corner.
I went to Lakeland to worship God and give him praise for the miracles he is doing. Like Paul I am confident that his grace will see me through if I don’t receive a healing that I am hoping for.
And you know what just like Cain - I have no right to murder my brother Abel - if God chooses to accept his sacrifice and decline mine. When will you guys get it? Jesus commanded us to pray for the sick. That is what you see in this video. Nothing more and nothing less.
love in Christ
This is sad.
Agan, and again, and again…..Bam, Bam, Bam, hurt, hurt, hurt, lie, lie, lie….
have you met this woman, she said that her breathing was better from last night, and you use a 2 minute clip to discredit God how many people in your christian life have you seen healed and not healed, I don’t know why God heals some and not others, but I know this Jesus name is being praised more the church is finally getting of its butt and moving and we here in the UK are seeing people healed, people saved and people set on fire for Christ because of the impact that florida has had on many, is it false not in my life and the thousands being impacted here in the uk, I’m sure some other ministry people come to be with the woman, stop looking at people and look at what GOD is doing.
We must remember to pray for this dear lady. I was so saddened when I watched this…and sickened.
I have read experiences of people who have been there who say that the most seriously ill people are kept off the stage, and for good reason. I guess once in a while they make a screening mistake.
So so sad. How many others have gone home the same way they arrived…thinking perhaps if they had a little more faith…
Did you see the ABC Nightline coverage of the Florida outpouring? Bentley could not produce one shred of evidence for any of the healings. Just go to youtube and type in ABC Nightline Todd Bentley. It made him look very bad.
And what’s this about how God gives a partial healing???
A Church that is my local Church puts on their website the latest Florida Impartation News that is happening at their Church that such and such a person was partially healed by 50% and such and such person was healed by 90%… blah, blah, blah….Ooooo look, I just prayed Todd Bentley style, I wonder if anyone reading this will get partially healed via the internet!
Anyway, these partial healings are a joke… I’m sure it keeps them coming back to get the full 100%.
Nathan:
Without any discredit to doctors, I must say that even my family doctor is a miracle worker then! He usually gives me partial healings until a point when… wow… I am completely healed!
Read the Bible — God, when He heals, heals completely. There is no such thing as a partial healing.
Dear Isaiah and Vee,
The healing of Jesus was not always instantaneous. Neither was did the demons leave quietly and without a fight, schrieks or discussion when the son of God rebuked them.
Do you ever pray for the sick guys?
Do you ever try to cast our a demon?
You should be doing that because it is a sign of someone who is a disciple of Jesus following his commandments. If you dare to then there will be plenty of brothers and sisters there to love you through your mistakes and disappointments.
Remember the disciples didn’t get it right first time round. In fast they spent 3 years with Jesus and still kept making mistakes. Not seeing results when they prayed. But the Lord did not condemn them. He encouraged them.
Your pictures of your daughter are great and you obviously live in a lovely place.
blessings.
David
Guys, get a life! Do you have influence or authority over the situation? Do you have serious in-depth knowledge of it? This is like gossip or something. Most likely God has something more immediate and significant for each of us to be doing than to be offering opinions on events we have no context or knowledge or responsibility for.
Peace, all.
Our greatest healing is in our spiritual healing.
Please see: http://www.justinpeters.org to hear out a man who graciously lives with cerebral palsy to the glory of God and speaks against this… watch the “demo.”
This video reminds me of Pastor Larry, a man who came to lakeland in hopes of healing when his doctors gave him a week or so to live. Todd Bentley said Pastor Larry was healed. Larry went home with great hurt as he had NOT been healed. Pastor Larry went to be with the Lord 8 days after his return from Lakeland.
This says it all. False healing, false prophesy
‘Healed’? Double-Check
After the June 22 front-page article on the Florida Outpouring Revival ["Signs and Warnings"], I simply have to speak up. I am a psychotherapist. Several weeks ago, the mother of a young adult patient of mine called for an appointment for her son.
He had been stable for quite some time on his medications for schizophrenia. He had recently decompensated, and was hospitalized in order to stabilize him and restart his medications.
He had attended one of Todd Bentley’s gatherings and was told by Mr. Bentley that he was “healed.” He stopped his medications, only to relapse into psychosis.
The outcome could have been worse. My client has very risky behaviors when psychotic. He might have died.
Please, if you think you have been “healed” of mental or physical illness, please consult your doctor before stopping medications or treatment. Your life may depend on it.
Deuteronomy 18:22
If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the LORD does not take place or come true, that is a message the LORD has not spoken. That prophet has spoken presumptuously. Do not be afraid of him.
