Virgins anointed – The truth about the Third Wave

Tonight, visiting evangelist Todd Bentley says he has been told by a prophet, Bob Jones, that 13 wise virgins would carry the revival forward. So Bentley calls teenagers up to the stage and “anoints” them, touching them and watching many fall backward, a practice Pentecostals call being “slain in the Spirit.” It’s just the beginning of an hours-long service.

The same Bob Jones who told women to get naked — literally — before the Lord!

Bob Jones is one of the Kansas City Prophets. Seen by some as the most controversial of the Kansas City Prophets. Was removed from the Vineyard Anaheim because of sexual improprieties, which consisted of encouraging women to undress in his office so they could stand “naked before the Lord” in order to receive a “word.”

Yeah… I would listen to him too

NOT!!!

And there’s more…

Some Pentecostal observers are calling the Lakeland revival the “third wave,” following the “Toronto Blessing” that began in January 1994 and overlapped with the Brownsville Revival that began in June 1995 at Brownsville Assembly of God in Pensacola. In both of those revivals, there were daily services for more than two years, and both featured claims of miraculous healing and prophetic messages and worship practices not usually found in most churches, such as speaking in tongues and “holy laughter,” in which worship leaders and portions of the crowd are seized with long bouts of hysterical laughter.

In a recent interview, Bentley said although he did not attend the Toronto revival, he has been influenced by it.

Interesting term used don’t you think… Third Wave?

Important a MUST READ Expose of Bentley and his cohorts – the plot thickens:

An excellent expose PRESS RELEASE – THIRD WAVE EXPOSED MIRACLES AND HEALINGS REVIVALS BY TODD BENTELY, PATRICIA KING, RODNEY HOWARD BROWNE AND FRIENDS ARE ALL ABOUT MONEY – JOHN DAVIES CNT” [PDF].

Seriously you really need to read this article, it speaks about law suits and why they are constantly asking for money as they pay off their mortgages tax free and it speaks about the preying on young boys by a certain pastor and the cover up.

Paul Cain a homosexual who preyed on boys is supposed to be normal now.

I was present at IHOP when Paul Cain was “outed” by Rick Joyner, Jack Deere and Mike Bickle. As a minister of the Gospel for over 30 years I had stopped at IHOP while travelling and was privy to the “inner circle” of IHOP and it’s coverup of what I consider to be a criminal
matter. When Mike Bickle and others exposed Paul Cain they did it in a way that covered up their own sin. I had youth in this movement tell me that they had

One related post which is a good read speaks about Bob [pervert] Jones, Patricia King and Todd Bentley…

All three of them are targeting your children in order to lift them into a “third heaven” occultic sphere, using meditation, contemplative prayer, angels of light (satan and his demons), emotional manipulation, and blatant lies.

In the following video, Bob Jones, Todd Bentley, and Patricia King speak of this contemplative practice of entering into the “third heaven”…

    livingjourney,
Read that verse in context and you will see that right before verse 28 it tells us not to shave the sides of our beards. I know many wonderful Christian men who shave the sides of their beards, and I don’t believe that they are sinning for it, do you?

I would also ask you if you know any Christian women with pierced ears. If they have pierced their ears, then they have marked their bodies.

I would also ask if you know any Christian people who are overweight because they eat too much and don’t excercise. I know many. They are doing worse harm to the Temple of the Holy Spirit then people with tattoos.

  2. mookda, I totally see where you are coming from, and I am considering what you have said.

Actually there is a pretty good post on this subject which isn’t reactionary, and more balanced.

    Just curious…

Why do you think that these laws were given by God?

It looks like they may of had this planned for sometime. No wonder these “Manifest Sons of God/Joel’s Army” have been down in Flordia spreading “their” annointing for so many weeks. Look what I found on the Elijah List this morning. This is breaking my heart and looks like Todd’s angel in going to be on the move.

God Spoke and said: “LAKELAND is Not Revival! It is…FAR MORE Than Revival!”

  4. From the link that Lori provided…

those people are now coming to Lakeland at the prompt of My Spirit, not to see a man or to receive a healing only, but to get wired up in My network.

THE LAKELAND REVIVAL IS A CONNECTING POINT

“It is a mighty, heavenly node–a massive junction where instruments of revival are coming to establish a link in the heavenlies in a network of power that is already set in Heaven and ready to hit the earth high and wide. You are not standing today in Lakeland; although you are physically here, you are not standing only here, you are actually standing in heavenly places–you are standing here in your heavenly place of revival.

YOU BROUGHT YOUR HOME PLACE WITH YOU

“Those who have come here, and all who will still come, all stand in a place not explainable in human language: for you are standing in the place God has set for you where you will experience revival. In a very real sense, you have brought your home place with you! You have come here to receive anointing for revival, but you are not just carrying an anointing back to your place; for although you are here now, in the spirit, you have not left your place, so whatever happens with you here is already affecting your place back home.

[...]you did not leave your place, and your presence here has established a connecting link with the REVIVAL–all capitals–that is about to hit the world.

“And for you, who, for any reason could not come, although you were desperate to come–your desperation has been heard; you are linking as well. Find the connection, for it is there for you. Many will receive a visitation of provision and be released to come, and many will suddenly be transported spiritually into that heavenly place of revival. Just link with the Spirit. Consciously and actively seek that connecting point with the source of this move of God.”

    That’s disturbing!

    livingjourney,
I think I would agree with the writer of that article in that most people probably don’t get tattoos for the right reasons. However, I don’t think that is always the case. A lot of people get tattoos for attention, to rebel, or to look cool, and this probably is very unwise. But what we have to remember is that any time we do anything for those reasons it is unwise, not just getting a tattoo. Many people do other things for the same reasons that I think are equally as bad as getting a tattoo for those reasons.

In ancient times, tattoos served only one purpose and that was to honor pagan gods. In that culture, there was no other reason to get a tattoo. That’s why you will notice that getting a tattoo is grouped with marking your body for the dead. I am an American living in the country of Thailand, and I have seen the terrible and disturbing effects of these religious tattoos. I truly believe that many people who recieved these tattoos used them to invite a demon into their bodies. They themselves claim that this is what happens to them. They exhibit un-human strength when the spirit first comes into them. Thai people get these tattoos for protection from bullets and knives. In this case, it is very clearly and obviously demonic. I am more aware then most of the danger of these types of tattoos, and I believe that this is the reason for the law in Leviticus.

But we are talking about America and we live in a different culture today. Even in Thailand, not every tattoo means the same thing as the ones I mentioned above. The two types of tattoos are very separated and not seen as the same thing at all. There are people in Thailand who get tattoos just to look cool or for some other significance. In America, I would say that most people don’t get tattoos to invite spirits into their bodies or to honor pagan gods, and tattoos are not seen in that light by most. There are good reasons to get tattoos. Some people get tattoos with Christian symbols as a way to forever remember their loyalty to Christ. I think that this is a legitimate reason. Some people purposefully get these tattoos in places where they won’t usually be seen because they aren’t doing it for the way it looks.

I also think that there is a legitimate reason in getting a tattoo to “become all things to all people so that we may win them for Christ”. My grandmother belonged to the hardcore biker culture in America. She had tattoos and rode a Harley wherever she went. These were the people she hung out with. One day, she meant a group of men who were covered head to toe in tattoos and who rode Harleys just like her. As she started to hang out with them, she noticed that these men had an unusual peace and happiness about them. They were called the Bikers for Jesus and because of their tattoos, they were able to win my grandmother for Christ. A nice, well-dressed Christian without any tattoos wouldn’t have been able to reach her.

I have also already mentioned the hypocrisy of those who tell you it’s a sin to have a tattoo and yet are gluttons. Gluttony is a sin that is mentioned repeatedly in the Bible, whereas tattoos are only mentioned once or twice. Gluttony is put on the same lists as sexual immorality in some places. However, I will not seriously doubt a person’s faith if they are gluttons, as I know many in our churches are.

Vee, the third wave teachings [and the teachers] seems to have been around awhile–but it appears this newest ‘movement’ in Lakeland is bringing it to the fore-front.
Many believe Branham was the grand-daddy of its beginning–im not really sure. I do know Branham believed he was the end-times Elijah…

This is a good link to many of those teach and/or taught things from this third wave movement: its not been updated in 11 years, but you’ll see some familiar names.

    http://www.deceptioninthechurch.com/quotes.html

All the old KCP talked [and prophesied] about it back when they were all gathered in Kansas city–Don’t you find it interesting that these old false prophets from the KCP movement, are involved in this new ‘thing’ in Florida? I mean, they’ve always been around, but lately it seems they have ‘risen from the ashes’ to center stage again.

  7. mookda says:

Like I said before, I think we have to ask ourselves whether Todd is an outright false prophet, or simply an immature prophet. I would also like to ask; has anyone here actually been to one of his meetings or even spoken with someone who has?

  8. Todd Reum says:

I saw him in Vancouver 5 years ago pre his tattoos. He spoke heresy but was not as bizarre as he is now then. At that time he was telling people that the Holy Spirit was more on one side of the sanctuary than on the other so the people ran over to that side! He also held his arms like as if holding a machine gun and started mimicking shooting people with it and they all fell down in a dominoes effect. It was so pathetic and like a hypnotist. He has gotten a lot worse. This man is posessed by legions of Demons and was not sent by God..

  9. Todd, thanks for stopping by and telling us about your experience with Mr Bentley. I can’t imagine what it would have looked like to have a whole congregation running from one to the other to get touched.

These sheep are under the direction of a bad shepherd. It makes me sick in the heart to think that this is being called a move of God, when clearly it is not!

    Thanks again
