Sola Dei Gloria found something about a pastors wife and what happened in her Church after the Bentley Buzz hit…
I am a pastor’s wife and have not seen good fruit in our church from this revival. My heart has been grieved by what has been displayed and then has been reproduced. My desire is not to rip Mr. Bentley to shreds. I would simply like to share the Word in light of this revival because the Word seems to be lacking severely and also in the people who are embracing it.
She correctly points out that one of the fruits of the Spirit is ‘Self Control’…and clearly, there is none of that in this so called revival.
She reminds us that Paul had heavenly experiences but he did not boast in the ways that Todd Bentley boasts…
There is constant talk in Todd’s messages about “his” visions and revelations and experiences. Is God’s Word not enough? I dare say we have forgotten our CHIEF CORNERSTONE CHRIST JESUS!
1Cor. 13 (ENTIRE CHAPTER) Love DOES NOT PARADE ITSELF! DOES NOT BOAST! IS NOT PUFFED UP!
1Cor. 1:31..“that as it is written, HE WHO GLORIES, LET HIM GLORY IN THE LORD.”
Beloved, Paul does NOT say glory in signs, wonders, miracles, visions, experiences!!!! In fact Paul says in:
2Cor. 12:1-6 Paul has this heavenly experience please read it for yourself. Then he says this “Of such a one I will boast; yet of myself I WILL NOT BOAST, EXCEPT IN MY INFIRMITIES. vs.6 “For though I might desire to boast, I will not be a fool; for I will speak the truth. But I refrain LEST ANYONE THINK OF ME ABOVE WHAT HE SEES ME TO BE OR HEARS FROM ME.”

Definitely NO fruit of self-control growing out of this “revival”!!! I watched enough of it on youtube last week to make me feel toxic.
Yes, quite the opposite I’m afraid.
Rick Joyner said he had a dream where God told him we were to return to our fathers and if we did we would see a huge revival in 2008. He says the fathers are the faith healers from the faith movement. That would be the post war period 1950’s………. 20th centuries most vulnerable time , hence their success and popularity. Also the beginnings of the most corrupt evangelists and deception the last century has ever seen. And has continued up to this present day. It’s a heritage of deception, love of money and a transfer of false mystic annointings . eg. William Branham, Kenneth Hagin, Copeland, Benny Hinn. There has been an increase of this in the last 14 years since Howard Browne, Bob Jones and now to Todd Bentley.
Here are some examples of true fathers, men like Spurgeon, Robert Evans, John Wesley, Moody, Derek Prince, Oswald Chambers, A.W. Tozer, etc. These are men who called us to humility and repentance.
A.W. Tozer writes …… “There is a danger that we take Christ for granted. We “suppose” that because we hold New Testament beliefs we are therefore New Testament Christians; but it does not follow. The devil is a better theologian than any of us and is a devil still. We may, for instance, assume that salvation is possible without repentance. Pardon without penitence is a delusion which simple honesty requires that we expose for what it is. To be forgiven, a sin must be forsaken. This accords with the scriptures and with the experience of the saints of all ages….”
I had 3 warning dreams starting in 1989 which foretold of this witchcraft, mystic, New Age type of miraculous manifestation which would spread throughout the globe, Christians included. I now understand this to be the “Toronto Blessing” and “Todd Bentley, Lakeland”. Which also includes Benny Hinn. One dream showed me what we needed to do in that hour. Eg. The armour, separateness, word of God, etc. Walking soberly. It was a very dark hour indeed, a hard time to be living in where much discipline was required and there was much work to do.
My husband says something like this “What we are now seeing is a bundling of the tears into one bundle and the wheat into another…” It really is the end of the age folks. It’s a time of separation and division like we have never seen before….as to those who serve God and those who do not, just as Malachi predicted in the last days. Jesus also spoke of this…”think not that I have come to bring peace but division, a sword….”
And what manner of people should we be in this hour…..….certainly disciplined, watchful, sober and vigilant. READY AND LOOKING UNTO HIS COMING……..ANY DAY NOW!!!!!

Some who have followed Todd Bentley say he is changing due to his critics who say he doesn’t preach the gospel. He may morph to please his critics by giving a sinner’s prayer at the end or open a bible but that does not excuss all the extra biblical teaching he has given. Not to mention the godless manifestions of those he touches or bams! I am afraid you are right Maria, satan is a master deceiver theologian and so many think just because Todd quotes a scripture or two (out of context) he is a brother in Christ. I think this is just a forshadowing of things to come.
Thanks Vee for this- the Florida “revival” is indeed very discouraging and depressing. May God have mercy and deliver the vulnerable children who are encountering it.
I thought I would just quickly mention that I found a youtube where he speaks about a particular angel that he knows — this angel is to visit the children — then he just laughs and laughs in the most mocking manner. It disgusts me.

I can’t believe how many christians are saying they believe this revival in Florida is
of God. The lack of decernment among our pentecostal leaders blows my mind.
I was shocked last night when I watched the video of Todd Bentley praying for
a teenage girl and instead of speaking in tongues he just said blah, blah, blah, over and over. It made me sick. That’s a satanic mockery of the gift of tongues. The church
needs to wake up and seek the face of God with prayer, fasting and repentance!!
I’ve heard 2 pastors here in the Asheville area say how excited they are about this
revival. I know they want to see revival and they are desperate to see a move of God but we must test the spirits and ask God for decernment especially in these last days. Todd Bentley is a fraud and is leading many away from the truth of the word of God. We need to pray!!!!!!!NOW

Gal 1:8 But even if we, or an angel out of Heaven, should preach a gospel to you beside the gospel we preached to you, let him be accursed.
I am patiently wating for some bold one’s to attend these meetings, and simply interrupt theses meetings. Literally, stand up, as Bentley starts “preaching”, and publically rebuke and demand that the Ignited Churuch leadership remove this heretic. When, is it OK to continue to allow this, sitting at our computers and laptops, are going to persuade some to avoid it, but the thousand in attendance and on the internet need to here a prophetic voice demanding this heresy to STOP AND STOP IMMEDIATELY. And until it stops, we need people top do so everyday in every meeting with people who know the Word, and can discern truth from heresy. If I had the financial means, I would be walking into these meetings myself, not caring if it meant arrest, or a fine, but to care less about what these promulgaters think. It’s time to interrrupt these meetings!
That would be great and that is something that we can pray for!
We need men who can lead in this way and publicly address this!
