GodTube.com - Rebuilding the Temple in Jerusalem
I found this 12 minute video very interesting — it is about the third temple. This video has key speakers in it that you may have heard of. Two of them being, Gershon Solomon from the Temple Mount Faithful and Joel Rosenberg the author of the best seller Epicenter as well as many other books.
The building of the temple is something that biblical scholars continue to debate about. From my personal understanding of scripture I believe that there will be a third temple built, and this temple will have a messiah like figure who thinks of himself as God who will sit within its most Holy parts, the Holy of Holies. The book of Daniel speaks of this.

Hi Vee, I agree with you. At the time of Christ’s first coming all the religious experts missed it. If they had been looking for literal fulfillment of Scripture they would not have missed Him. So many today either do not believe Scripture or allegorise it but I am certain that we are to take it literally unless it is obvious that the context is not meant to be taken literally. It is very clear from Scripture that the antichrist sits in the temple declaring himself to be god. It might seem difficult to us humanly speaking for the temple to be erected but if God says it will be there, then it is certain.
Surely God has brought the people back to Israel in accordance with His promises and just as surely He will bring all His Word to pass. Praise His Name, Vince.
Hi Vince, yes this topic is one that is not often discussed within the more liberal churches. They seem to think that prophecy is something that should not be studied.
Rick Warren said…
When the disciples wanted to talk about prophecy, Jesus quickly switched the conversation to evangelism! He wanted them to concentrate on their mission in the world. Jesus said in essence, “The details of my return are none of your business. What is your business is the mission I’ve given you. Focus on that!”
Speculating on the timing of Christ’s return is futile since Jesus said, “No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father” (Matthew 24:36, NIV). Since Jesus said, “Even I don’t know the day or hour,” why would we try to figure it out? What we do know for sure is this: Jesus will not return until everyone he wants to hear the Good News has heard it. Jesus said, “The Good News about God’s kingdom will be preached in all the world, to every nation. Then the end will come” (Matthew 24:14, NCV). If you want Jesus to come back sooner, focus on fulfilling your mission, not figuring out prophecy.
Of course he says that you shouldn’t study prophecy, it is problematic to him and others like him, as prophecy points to a false gospel of good works. I guess we shouldn’t worry ourselves with at least 1/3rd or more of the bible then should we if Warren is right. Warren and others who follow his P.E.A.C.E plan and others like him are clearly dominionists!
The coming third temple will fit right into the domionist view of the kingdom. Especially when we consider that the AC is going to be a man of peace and good will. The AC is going to fool the world with his good intentions and his humanitarianism.
