Living Journey

The X-ray Project

Posted in Israel, Middle East, Philosophy & Religion, Pictures, Political, Religion by livingjourney on April 29th, 2008

The X-ray Project is a site that will open your eyes to the horrors of terrorism. The X-rays and CT-scans are from the two largest hospitals in Jerusalem.

Even after spending fifteen minutes in the “spa” in the next room, this was very silencing. I have very little to say about this exhibit but am thinking and feeling plenty. Reading the stories and explanations took me, for moments at a time, into pieces of the horror of each of these humans, bodies, souls. A nearly literal stun to the mind.

Posted in Personal, Resources by livingjourney on April 29th, 2008

Just HAD to blog this…

Was cruising around and googled ‘blogging books’, and found the BEST site for all of you wannabe authors out there.

Blurb.com” is the place to go.

All you have to do is download their free bookmaking software, and then you can start to get your creative juices running. Blurb.com has many templates and backgrounds, fonts and just about everything you need.

The great thing is you can order just one of your books or as many as you like. You can go hard cover or soft cover with a dust jacket. The website has a forum to browse to make your bookmaking a pleasant experience. And the pricing is really good too.

They ship out to places that I haven’t even heard of. And for those of us that happen to live in the greatest country on earth (down under) they even ship out across that great blue ocean to us Aussies.

And for all of those who desperately want to turn their blogs into books… you can do that too!

Anyway… I thought that was very exciting news… pass this news on if you like!

Or, if you have another bookmaking website that offers us wannabe authors a better deal..Please let us know!!!

Those Diggers!

Just thought you would like to know…

The Park of the Australian Soldier“, an initiative of the Pratt Foundation (one of the largest philanthropy in Australia that contributes heavily

towards Israeli causes), will be officially dedicated on April 28 in Beersheba.

The date coincides with ANZAC day, which falls on April 25 every year in Australia and New Zealand to remember members of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) who landed at Gallipoli in Turkey during World War I.

The victory of the Australian Light Horse Division’s 4th Brigade against the Turkish on October 31, 1917, was a significant event in both Australian military history and in the history of the Middle East region.

Dawkins on Panspermia - the hole gets deeper

Ok, I just cracked up when I read this article by Dawkins

But now the question arises: In what sense would the god-like aliens not be gods? Answer: In a very important sense. To deserve the name of God, a being would have to have designed more than just a jumbo jet or even a starship. He would have to have designed the universe. And therein lies a fundamental contradiction. Entities capable of designing anything, whether they be human engineers or interstellar aliens, must be complex — and therefore, statistically improbable. And statistically improbable things don’t just happen spontaneously by chance without an explanation trail.

Statically impossible hey?

Dawkins was questioned by Ben Stein in the recent “Expelled” movie in regards to the improbability of God, as Jonathan Wells reports the following on… what number he (Dawkins) would assign to the improbability of God, and how he knows what the number is. In what I consider the funniest scene in the movie after Michael Ruse’s “I already told you” interview about the origin of life, Dawkins suggests that God’s existence is 99% improbable. Stein asks him, Why not 97%? Dawkins hems and haws and says he’s not comfortable assigning a number. With his trademark deadpan look, Stein presses him: So maybe it’s only 49%? Dawkins replies that he doesn’t know, but it’s certainly much higher than that.

Yeah, that’s real science!!!

…Even if our species was created by space alien designers, those designers themselves would have to have arisen from simpler antecedents — so they can’t be an ultimate explanation for anything. No matter how god-like our interstellar aliens may be, and no matter how vast and wonderful their starships, they cannot have designed the universe because, like human engineers and all complex things, they are late arrivals in it.

At least he admits that believing in aliens coming to this blue orb of ours and creating everybody and everything in it is just pushing the answer to the… How did we get here conundrum further away. He’s probably referring to “Panspermia“, kudos for that!

Then he admits that the “Intelligent Design Theory” is often loaded with…”Space Aliens did it Scenario” so to distant themselves from the “Biblical 6 day literalist”. C’mon, you know who you are!

Intelligent design “theorists” (a misnomer, for they have no theory) often use the alien scenario to distance themselves from old-style creationists: “For all we know, the designer might be an alien from outer space.”

I agree wholeheartedly when Dawkins says that… This attempt to fend off accusations of unconstitutionally importing religion into science classes is lame and disingenuous.

But according to Dawkins these “‘ID’ space invader advocates” are just fundies…All the leading intelligent design spokesmen are devout, and, when talking to the faithful, they drop the science-fiction fig leaf and expose themselves as the fundamentalist creationists they truly are.

Really? Is that right? Hmmm, NOT good.

If this is true then this is very problematic for many, many reasons.

And there were giants in those days!

Posted in Christianity, Creation & Evolution, The Strange by livingjourney on April 26th, 2008

Just found some interesting things about what was found in a Buried City in Missouri.

The New York Times had and article called “MISSOURI’S BURIED CITY.; A STRANGE DISCOVERY IN A COAL MINE NEAR MOBERLY”…

There was this wonderful buried city, which was discovered at the bottom of a coal shaft, 360 feet deep, which was being sunk near the city.

I had to sign up to access this whole article that was orginially printed on Wednesday April 9, 1885. But it was worth it because what was found in this buried ancient city was a human femur.

Nothing unusual about that you say!

But as I read the article, there was a definite strange factor in regards to the bones…

A stone fountain was found, situated in a wide court or street, and from it a stream of perfectly pure water was flowing , which was found to be strongly impregnated with lime. Lying beside the fountain were portions of the skeleton of a human being.

The bones of the leg measured, the femur four and one-half feet, the tibia four feet and three inches, showing that when alive the figure was three times the size of an ordinary man, and possessed of a wonderful muscular power and quickness.

The mixing of souls? - the cybrid question

This is a RED FLAG post

redflag1.gifredflag1.gifredflag1.gifredflag1.gif
Just yesterday I was reading in a paper about a very strange phenomena that has been documented by organ transplant recipients. One case that I will share, and this is one of many I might add, is about a son who recently received one of his mothers kidney’s. He actually ended up certain foods that previously to the implant turned his stomach!

His mum absolutely loved pumpkin soup as well as many other hearty vegetables which of course he couldn’t stand. Well, that all changed in an instant – he said overnight — once he had a piece of his mum living in him. Now, this is not the first case of someone who is an organ transplant recipient also receiving traits of the original owner of the organ. One thought provoking article speaks about the possibility of receiving another person’s soul through transplants – this is a must read article that really makes you wonder what we are truly made up of and where does our soul actually reside. Whatever the case may be, something very weird is going on.

Now I am going to mention just one word to you, one word that should make the most humane of us shudder with fear, especially considering the accumulating evidence that something more is going on when we mix person with person.

Cybrids!!!

When I hear of the experimentation happening in countries such as Britain, where they have actually created human-animal embryos already, then I start to really freak out!

Embryos containing human and animal material have been created in Britain for the first time, a month before the House of Commons votes on new laws to regulate the research.

A team at Newcastle University announced yesterday that it had successfully generated “admixed embryos” by adding human DNA to empty cow eggs in the first experiment of its kind in Britain.

The Newcastle cybrids lived for three days and the largest grew to contain 32 cells.

We really have no idea about the complications arising from this mixing of seeds.

“You shall not sow your vineyard with two kinds of seed, or all the produce of the seed which you have sown and the increase of the vineyard will become defiled. “You shall not plow with an ox and a donkey together. “You shall not wear a material mixed of wool and linen together. - Deuteronomy 22:9-11

The idea taught throughout scripture is that man is not to mix together two different kinds. The implication is that mixing kinds causes defilement and corruption.

Any student of the bible will know exactly where this post could lead in regards to the mixing of seeds and the defilement of man. Has this happened before and if so, when? If you are curious, just read Genesis 6.

Interesting to note that the book of Jasher which the bible speaks about in a few places writes the following about certain rulers, the bible calls these the nephilim, who forced sexual relations with the daughters of men. Look what it says that happened in those days before the flood…

Jasher 4:18-19 And their judges and rulers went to the daughters of men and took their wives by force from their husbands according to their choice, and the sons of men in those days took from the cattle of the earth, the beasts of the field and the fowls of the air, and taught the mixture of animals of one species with the other, in order therewith to provoke the Lord; and God saw the whole earth and it was corrupt, for all flesh had corrupted its ways upon earth, all men and all animals. And the Lord said, I will blot out man that I created from the face of the earth, yea from man to the birds of the air, together with cattle and beasts that are in the field for I repent that I made them.

As in the days of Noah people – as in the days of Noah!

The Gay-Gene Hoax

Posted in News, Political, Uncategorized by livingjourney on April 24th, 2008

A guy called Ryan Sorba spoke about the so-called “Gay-Gene”.

He began with the factual history of the homosexual movement from its beginnings in the 1800s. He showed that until the mid-1900s the concept of “homosexual” did not even exist – that even its practitioners thought of it as aberration of normalcy – and that among men it had nearly always also been associated in some way with pederasty (sex with young boys).

He then described the modern homosexual propaganda movement, which blossomed in the 1980s, and how the “born that way” strategy was a central part of the plan to proselytize America. It was conceived by two Harvard graduates, Marshall Kirk, a researcher in neuropsychiatry, and Hunter Madsen, a PhD in politics and expert on public persuasion tactics, who wrote “After the Ball” and other articles. Interestingly, the “born that way” strategy was largely rejected by the movement when it was first proposed. But it soon caught on and – along with the strategy of demonization of Christian critics – became a centerpiece of the larger campaign which continues in full force to this day.

The more overwhelming cause of homosexuality, as he points out, involves severe issues with parents and sexual abuse at a young age.

As often happens at these kinds of speeches, it appeared that nearly all of the homosexual activists had never heard these arguments before. They were clearly affected by them. You could see the confusion (and a little anger) in their eyes as their ideological world was being taken apart. Plus, they were so used to dealing with this issue in an emotional and illogical way that they are rhetorically crippled when forced to deal on a logical and factual basis.

Here you can download the PDF of the book called The “Born Gay” Hoax if you’re interested.

This is probably the one of the most rational arguments against the Gay-Gene/born that way theory that I have read. In the article (by the way you can hear his speech if you go to the first link) he says the following…

…the coining of terms by activists has played a central role in the movement to normalize same‐gender sexual activity by subtly influencing public opinion via the lexicon. Historically, Steyn explains, moral concern for sexual activity between two persons of the same gender was identified as sodomy, an act. One can either think of sodomy as acceptable or unacceptable; either way, it is an act that someone chooses. Then, Steyn explains that in the late nineteenth century, the act was redescribed as a condition of certain persons, and it was termed “homosexuality.” Next (only a few decades ago) “homosexuality” was upgraded again, this time referring to a person’s very identity, so that now we identify people as being “gay,” or “straight,” or somewhere “in between.” Now the term describes who a person is. It has become as fundamental to ones identity as race. Steyn explains, “Each formulation raises the stakes: One can object to and even criminalize an act; one is obligated to be sympathetic toward a condition; but once it’s a full fledged 24/7 identity, like being Hispanic or Inuit, anything less than wholehearted acceptance gets you marked down as a bigot.”

A must read if you are struggling with this issue.

Now that’s fair?

Posted in Globalism, Islam, Israel, Middle East, News, Philosophy & Religion, Political, Religion by livingjourney on April 24th, 2008

Is there anything wrong with this picture?

RAMALLAH, West Bank, 22 April 2008 — Hamas would accept a Palestinian state on only part of the land it claims and would grant Israel a 10-year “hudna,” or truce, the Palestinian group’s leader said yesterday.

…“We have offered a truce if Israel withdraws to the 1967 borders, a truce of 10 years as a proof of recognition,” he said. He said he made the offer to former US President Jimmy Carter during talks on Friday and Saturday in the Syrian capital.

Meshaal used the Arabic word “hudna,” meaning truce, which is more concrete than “tahdia” — a period of calm — which Hamas often uses to describe a simple cease-fire.

So, let me see if I get this… a temporary truce in an exchange for a permanent withdrawel of land, with a de facto promise to resume war in ten years.

Nice work Carter! *insert sarcasm*.

What does this promise mean anyway? Carter is not a governmental representative in the formal sense of the word, so therefore he is a nothing, so this promise means nothing to a nothing!

Way to go mate!

Who will be controlling our food?

Posted in Bioethics, Globalism, New World Order, News, Political, Resources, The Strange by livingjourney on April 21st, 2008

What does “The Bill Gates Foundation”, “The Rockefeller Foundation”, the Antarctic, a seed that self destructs called the “Terminator” and one called the “Traitor”(GMO’s), The Green Revolution, The World Bank and Third World countries overseen by those who not only control the finance of bio-engineering of plants, Population Control and Family Planning, have in common?

How about a “Doomsday Seed Vault” — you simply MUST read this eye opener of an article. It reads like a sci-fi. Probably one of the most scariest articles I have read in a long time!

Rev 6:5-6 When he opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, “Come!” And I looked, and behold, a black horse! And its rider had a pair of scales in his hand. And I heard what seemed to be a voice in the midst of the four living creatures, saying, “A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius, and do not harm the oil and wine!”
