Indigos revisited
Recently I have been researching a little bit about the ‘Indigo Children‘. I wrote a post not so long ago that tied this move with some of what’s happening within the prophetic movement inside the church. That post called ‘Indigos - Crystals - Vibes. Where is this hyper-jump heading?’ looks into not only the Indigos but also the new children called ‘Samuels Generation‘ and sometimes called ‘Joels Army‘.
These prophetic children have 12 Prophets overseeing their ministry. These prophets are part of the ‘New Apostolic Reformation’ which has every intention to rise and take control over the church and some say even the world. Scary stuff. If you haven’t read ‘Dominionism and the Rise of Christian Imperialism‘ yet, then may I suggest you do. It is very lengthy but extremely insightful.
I have brought all of this to the attention of Gary Bates who wrote the book ‘Alien Intrusion‘ and I have also emailed ‘Watchman Fellowship‘ about ‘Kids in Ministry’ which is leading these children into the supernatural. Gary emailed me back, and after he researched this a bit further he shares my concerns. He is the one that suggested that I let Watchman Fellowship know about this. He told me that he is bringing it to the attention of fellow speakers/scientists as well.
He made mention of the ‘Kids in Ministry’ website, and how in his opinion, there are some real dangers in the practices that these children are encouraged to participate in. He says… all experiences, even within the church, needs to be filtered through the Word of God because experiences can be deceptive.
I agree with him 100%. All things must be tested by the Word of God.
Anyway, this post is really an update to my previous posts on this subject. I will let you know if I hear anything from Watchman Fellowship.

Tony Blair will be moving to Jerusalem!
Important News:
Tony Blair will be moving to Jerusalem to become the Quartet’s special peace envoy to the Middle East.
A statement released Wednesday by U.N. headquarters in New York confirmed Blair’s appointment, which was reportedly agreed upon yesterday in Jerusalem at a meeting of the Quartet, the diplomatic grouping made up of the United States, Russia, the European Union and the United Nations.
As envoy, Blair is charged with mobilizing international assistance to the Palestinians, securing support for the institutional governance needs of the future Palestinian state, promoting Palestinian economic development, and coordinating Quartet objectives with other countries.
“As representative, Tony Blair will bring continuity and intensity of focus to the work of the Quartet in support of the Palestinians, within the broader framework of the Quartet’s efforts to promote an end to the conflict in conformity with the roadmap,” the statement said. “He will spend significant time in the region working with the parties and others to help create viable and lasting government institutions representing all Palestinians, a robust economy, and a climate of law and order for the Palestinian people.”
Blair’s new post will be based in Jerusalem, with a potential second office in the West Bank, and will be assisted by a team of experts. JTA Breaking News
With titles in the media like ‘Blair set to clinch job as world’s man in the Middle East’, this has got some people doing head spins! Who would have thought!
All the while the US is sending more nuclear powered carriers into the persian gulf:
US naval build-up off the shores of Iran marks rising military tensions in the region, accentuated by last week’s Hamas victory which has endowed Iran with a military foothold on Israel’s southwestern border.
Lebanon is becoming increasingly more unstable with the ‘Acceleration of Syrian-Iranian meddling in Lebanon‘:
Things are heating up rapidly around Lebanon. It is not only Fatah Al Islam fighting the Lebanese Army but also attacks against UNIFIL and now Syria and Iran preparing for a possible Hezbollah-Israel war.
This should draw us to our knees in prayer.

Something light - One Space or Two???
While my good friend from More Books and Things and another really nice blogger from Oleh Musings were getting into a very friendly and non offending creation vs evolution debate, (is there such a thing?) it was obvious however, that neither were going to change each others mind. (topic is closed now
)
I had another life changing debate happening at my house. Truly earth shattering stuff — my jaw actually dropped and I am not joking — as I was horrified to learn that there were people out there who didn’t think like me. I was truly stunned!
The Scenario
The other night I was helping a friend with his resume. While he was typing I noticed that he only used on space afte a full stop! I have always used two. That was the way I was taught when I learnt how to touch-type on a manual typwriter.
This of course led to a huge debate in my home, with my hubby even ringing his brother who majored in History and English and is currently a teacher. His brother said that you only use one space!!! What? My hubby is with me on this one, I am a two spacer, he was told to use two spaces in the RAAF when writing documents. All the young ones in the house had never heard of the two space before! They were equally shocked that you could even consider two spaces.
What? Hah Hahahahah (insert self righteous laugh here) ….. They just have not been taught properly… the education system has gone to the dogs, I thought to myself! The guy doing the resume is currently at University and has never been corrected by his lecturer on his heretical irreverent one space.
Shock, horror.
Anyway, I have decided to put this to a poll … this life shattering debate.
Here it is.
I also have a new ‘Poll Section’ in the sidebar to the right. That will be updated as I think of more things that need popular opinion to win a debate. But remember, might is not always right!
Stuart Little may come to life!
A while ago I did a brief post called ‘The world’s gone mad!‘. In that post I wrote about some experiential scientific anomalies called ‘Chimeras’. I believe that in breaching the natural order of things by mixing human kind with animal kind is unbiblical.
You just have to read Genesis to understand that God created kinds and those kinds are not to mix with another kind. That is how Genesis is to be read and to be understood, that each kind was to reproduce after its own kind, the way God intended.
Now it seems that we want to mess around with things in a bigger way than expected. Clearly there needs to be firm ethical outlines put in place because technology is travelling faster while society is finding it increasingly harder to keep up. We should not allow technology dictate our lives so much so that we lose the very meaning of what it means to be human.
Hold your horses, slow down… let’s really consider things here!
Dr. Mohler’s Blog has an excellent article on these Chimeras. And he quotes Nancy L. Jones who is an Associate Professor of Public Health Sciences at Wake Forest University School of Medicine and a consultant on Bio-tech Ethics for ‘The Center for BioEthics Human Dignity‘, she has brought up some very valid points concerning the experimentation of cross-species mutations. She has brought up some very valid points that need to be discussed:
Another concern would be zoonotic transmission of disease, which occurs when pathogens cross the traditional species barriers of disease transmission. When human and animal tissues are intertwined so closely, potential mutations of once species-specific pathogens may gain a unique ability to infect organisms of other species. A more fundamental Christian concern involves violation of the divinely created order. The Bible tells us that God designed procreation so that plants, animals, and humans always reproduce after their own kind or seed. (Gen 1:11-12, 21) In the biblical view, then, species integrity is defined by God, rather than by arbitrary or evolutionary forces. The fusion of animal-human genomes runs counter to the sacredness of human life and man created in the image of God.
The creation of animal-human chimeras as a means of deriving human tissue and organs highlights the deeper issues facing our generation: the new biological genomic revolution and the resultant power that may permit scientists to redesign various species and biological life. We must not allow such an ability to outstrip the ethical analysis that must accompany it. CBHD
Dr. Mohler has further stated:
The British report reveals that “researchers have constructed ever more ambitious transgenic animals” — and this is just the start. [...]
Now, scientists at Stanford University propose to put human brain cells in mouse brains in order to replace dying neurons. In reality, that would mean a human/mouse brain.
Saletan reports that ethicists at Stanford at first rejected the proposal, but have since come to approve it, allowing the researchers to produce mice with “some aspects of human consciousness or some human cognitive abilities.”
This raises the frightening prospect of a human brain within an animal species. The proposed research at Stanford would not reach that point, but granting a mouse brain “some aspects of human consciousness or some human cognitive abilities” should be enough to set off the ethical alarms.

A certain other Church
I am not sure how many of you have been following my posts on a certain other church? But this church is having a speaker called ‘Danny Steyne’. He is part of this ‘Great Awakening‘ and on that site there are some articles written by Steyne and others. One that caught my eye is ‘We have entered the Feast Of Tabernacles by Arthur Burt‘ and I would just like to say…. NOT!!
“We are not soon to enter the (Feast of Tabernacles); we have already entered it. Only those who have ears to hear will experience it. You must ‘come out’ before you can ever ‘enter in.’” Paraphrased, You must leave something old to arrive at something new. God wants to pour out the new wine, but will only pour it into the new wineskin - those prepared to receive.”
One key word from the above article that I will listen out for is ‘Third Day Company’, I haven’t researched this term yet but I will commit to memory this term. Maybe someone out there who reads this blog knows more about it?
Anyway concerning the ‘Feast of Tabernacles’ I am of the understanding that we enter into the fullness when His actual feet touch the Mount in Jerusalem, when He comes again just as He left. (Of course there has been a shadow of this feast, there has also been a partial fulfillment (PDF File) when the Lord tabernacled with us in the flesh… and then we look forward to the prophetic fullness of that feast when the reign of Christ begins here on earth, prophecy is cyclical as well as lineal with the complete fruition promised to us of which we look forward to ultimately). We wait for the 1000 years of the Kingdom to be established here on earth. Obviously the above quote supports ‘Kingdom Now‘ theology which teaches that we are in the 1000 years of the Rule of Christ now and that the 1000 years is allegorical and not literal.

After 26 years - Updated!!
I was talking to a friend of mine yesterday, and she has just informed me, that after 26 years she and her husband has left their church!
What a shock! She is absolutely devastated and cannot believe what is happening in her church.
She was talking to me about a few concerns she and her husband had a few months ago, and had said that their church had done the whole purpose driven thing, and now they were getting into the ‘40 days of community’. She was all for the whole humanitarian driven thing. But something was missing, and she couldn’t put her finger on it.
This is all happened because of a new pastor and his wife had been put into their church with no-one electing him. They were just told from the ‘Apostolic leadership’…(hmmm…red flag)
that they were to accept this new pastor with no questions asked and obviously no democratic election was applied in this situation. After reading a little bit about the church, it seems that this is the way the national apostolic body works.
Policies and denominational direction are determined by the National Leadership Team. The National Leadership Team meets several times each year to watch the progress of the church and consider matters before it.
The NLT plays the major role in setting corporate vision and providing general direction for the Apostolic Church Australia.
This new pastor and his wife — the wife by the way, insists on being called Pastor as well — has gone through the process of electing new leaders in the church and getting rid of the old pillars so to speak. This has divided the church and many have left because of these new changes.
A particular case in question was a woman who had been in the church only one week, was elected as a leader and took to the pulpit.
My friend was talking to me last night, and she kept saying she couldn’t put her finger on what was going on, or why this was happening. When I started to tell her about the Purpose Driven plan for Church growth and the way in which the changes come about she was absolutely amazed!
This includes that the ‘Old Pillars’ or as Rick Warren calls them ‘Resisters’ are to be identified first. Then it is to be determined what kind of effectiveness that those in opposition will have on the changes that the church needs to go through, this is the first step. Once identified and assessed they are to be marginalised, vilified and then suggested that they either be quite or they must move on (See Purpose Driven Resisters - Must Leave or Die Those who oppose the “program” are called leaders from hell) in this process some who are undecided are befriended and encouraged by those who have accepted this change. Once this stage has happened then there must new rules established that will silence all ‘Resisters’. This is exactly what is happening in my friends church. Once these so called ‘Resisters’ have either left or have been silenced you now have new ‘Change Agents’ in place and that is when you can change your church to the Purpose Driven Model. Well, from my reading of the ‘Apostolic Church’ constitution, the constitution was perfect for this kind of take over unfortunately. Know I understand why that particular church does not have membership, as it clearly does not follow ‘Congregationlist Polity‘.
When I was telling her these things, she said to me that this is the first that someone has made any sense of the situation. She said all the terminology I was using she was hearing from the pulpit. All the changes that I mentioned to her that have been introduced as the Purpose Driven Model, she was now witnessing the fruit of these changes and unfortunately she and her husband are now considered bad fruit.
She said the pastor and his wife have become so uncaring that they shout and demand certain things from their congregation without a care in the world. The pastor now has ‘yes’ men and women and can pretty much dictate whatever terms they want, all the people have been put in place so there is no resistance to any new move however unbiblical this move may be. She also said, and this was the part that hurts her most, that when they told the pastor and his wife they were leaving the church, the pastor did not even seem to care on iota.
After all these years, 26 years she kept saying to me.
Please pray for her and her husband, I have sent some material from ‘Lighthouse‘ and ‘Dominionism and the Rise of Christian Imperialism‘. I told her that I would find some material for her to read and she was grateful. But what I have sent will not tickle the ears, and will be hard to hear. I pray that they will both be Bereans and search the scriptures to see if what they were involved with was in any way biblical, and I pray that they will continue to be Bereans and test all things according to scripture.
That is pretty much how I ended my email. A lot is riding on this, they have come to a cross road, or perhaps they have seen this particular scripture be fulfilled within their own church community.
Mat 24:11-12 And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold.

Phase 111
I have been a little bit behind with my reading lately and was just catching up with some of my favourite blogs. As I was backtracking Carla’s posts I found a small entry that I wanted to share with you.
Someone had sent her two powerful slide-shows about ‘What really happened in the Middle East‘ and the ‘The Islamic Mein Kampf‘ from a website called ‘Terrorism Awareness‘. You can find the two slide-shows and many more informative power-point presentations on that website.
After viewing ‘The Islamic Mein Kampf’ and after listening carefully to Walid Shoebat, Kamal Saleem and others like them and what they have to say about today’s political climate, I am convinced that we are in Phase 111 of the ‘final solution‘ that has been prophesied by Daniel. I call it Phase 111 because in retrospect World War 1 liberated Jerusalem, World War 11 created the State of Israel. Phase 111 or World War 111 — which I believe has started although not many people realize this — (See Daniel 10 and Ezekiel 38, 39 concerning Iran’s coming threat to Israel) will be an attempt to eradicate every Jew in Israel. The first World War is really a continuation of a plan that has been unfolding since the dawn of man. World War 1, 2 and3 has already been written down prophetically speaking.
The Mufti’s and Imam’s all say that the wish of Allah is to destroy every Jew and now it has been made easier as they are all in one place. There is a connection between Islamo-fascists and Nazi ideology, that is clear. But there has always been a plan to destroy all of the Jews and Israel.
Satan’s plan has always been to eradicate all Jews. Why?
Because Satan’s first defeat was at Jerusalem and Satan’s last defeat will be at Jerusalem.
Satan must do everything he can to remove the Jews from Jerusalem to pre-empt the return of Christ. Satan knows biblical prophecy better than anyone; he knows that Christ must return to Israel that has a Jewish presence in Jerusalem, because the bible says so. If Satan could possibly rid Israel, and Jerusalem of all Jewish presence then he could possibly stop the return of Christ. Remember that the Jews have been the most persecuted peoples of all time. If there were no Jew left on the planet and therefore no Jerusalem Satan would have proven God a liar because prophecy states that there will be Jews in their homeland and there will be Jerusalem before the coming of Messiah. Satan is always trying to undermine what has already been determined by God Himself.
Although World War 1 & 2 had different men involved behind the scenes, both wars have fulfilled biblical prophecy with 100% accuracy concerning the Jews return to their homeland and with the creation of their state after 2000 years of being in the Diaspora.
Different men at different times have been the puppet of a certain mastermind behind such wars, but it is the same spirit drives them, and that spirit is the spirit of Anti-Christ.
Politically Incorrect but True!
I just had to blog this…
”In Who Really Cares: The Surprising Truth About Compassionate Conservatism (Basic Books), Arthur C. Brooks finds that religious conservatives are far more charitable than secular liberals, and that those who support the idea that government should redistribute income are among the least likely to dig into their own wallets to help others.”
(http://www.philanthropy.com/free/articles/v19/i04/04001101.htm)”We must remember that an atheist wrote The Selfish Gene, not a Christian conservative. Richard Dawkins, its author, states, “Much as we might wish to believe otherwise, universal love and the welfare of the species . . . are concepts that simply do not make evolutionary sense.” Natural selection is in the business of weeding out the unfit in its eternal war against the weak. (See also the last few pages of Darwin’s Origin of Species.)
A Selfish Gene… who would have thought. I certainly don’t believe it.
Faith Undone - A new Messiah awaits!
Roger Oakland recently sent me an email about a new book he has written… Here is the blurb:
FAITH UNDONE
The emerging church - a new reformation or an end- time deception
by Roger OaklandPublished by Lighthouse Trails
Note from Author:
In the not-too-distant future, most evangelical pastors will have to decide whether to support or reject the spirituality behind the emerging church. If this movement continues unfolding at the present pace, mainstream Christianity will be completely restructured, and the biblical gospel of Jesus Christ will be considered obsolete. If I believed for one minute that this movement was just another passing whim or the discontent rumblings that so often occur with young people as they search for answers to life, I would never have written this book.
But sad to say, the emerging church is far more than a fleeting fad and much more than the complaints of a group of young leaders. It is indeed a new way of being Christian and its objective is to usher in a new reformation throughout the world.
Those who refuse to embrace this direction will be considered spiritual oddballs that are hindering a unified one-world spirituality that is promoted as the answer for peace and that is prophesied about in the Bible. I know these sound like preposterous concerns. How could a movement that seems so unorganized and mismanaged do so much damage? The answer to that is the reason I wrote this book. For behind this new kind of worship, this new kind of church is a strategic apostasy and maneuver by the prince of this world, the enemy of our souls, to literally take apart the faith of millions-it will be nothing less than faith undone.
Chapter by Chapter Overview can be found here at Roger Oakland’s website.
This would be a great book, and one well worth the read.
This also brought to my mind what it means to have a ‘Faith Undone’.
Interestingly, a ‘Faith Undone’ is classic deconstructionism at work (or is it deconstructionalism, is that even a word?).
Deconstruction was a word that made it into high-popular culture, a word that Jacques Derrida gave birth to. John D. Caputo has taken that philosophy and is the one person that has blended that philosophy with theology within the post-modern emerging church.
In a post called ‘A weak theology — A weak God‘ I wrote the following:
I have found some interesting quotes from people who have analysed Caputo’s work, and from my understanding, the outcome of ‘Deconstructionism’ and its theological and doctrinal implication is something that we as Christians may have to deal with in the not so distant future.
What does Derrida and others who now favour deconstructionism and Post-stinkin-modernism as the way forward for our world offer at the end of it all? What precisely is it that Christians may have to deal with in the not so distant future?
What is the desired outcome?
According to Caputo after total deconstruction, you are only left with the undeconstructible!
And what may that be?
The undeconstructible is the subject matter of pure and unconditional affirmation –”viens, oui, oui” (come, yes, yes) — something unimaginable and inconceivable by the current standards of imagining and conceiving. (Pdf file - Jacques Derrida by John D. Caputo Syracuse University)
Where does this lead?
It is of no surprise, that according to Caputo, Derrida would start talking about religion, a religion that is without religion. He even spoke of the Messiah! Caputo understands it this way:
Deconstruction, it turns out, is not nihilism; it is just high standards! Deconstruction is satisfied with nothing because it is waiting for the Messiah, which Derrida translated into the philosophical figure of the “to come…, the very figure of the future, of hope and expectation.
For we pray and weep for something that is coming, something I know not what, something nameless that in always slipping away also draws us in its train. (Pdf file - Jacques Derrida by John D. Caputo Syracuse University)
Yes that’s right, Caputo is one individual that is giving insightful theology to the emerging church. A theology in a new form that post-modernists love. Caputo is just one of many who will tear down the church to build a ‘Faith Undone’. This will ultimately leave the church wanting and expecting a new kind of Messiah and the old Weak God outside of His own House knocking to come in.
Rev 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock: If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will enter to him, and I will dine with him, and he with Me.
Do you hear Him?
Last night
Last night was a night that kept me awake and in tears.
You see, I am a mother of two grown children and one teenager, one in particular is causing me great distress at this time. I really am not going into details, but I feel that I am dying inside. I just want to shake him up and say… wake up!!!! I know from experience that no matter what I try, ultimately he has to decide for himself what he wants his life to be like.
Does he want to continue to drift along having nothing to get up for in the morning, so therefore just won’t get up. Or does he want to get out there and make it on his own. I know that he is at a crossroads in his life. I know that he loves Jesus and has committed his life to Him, but his life is not reflecting that at all.
Like I said I know (from experience that my middle daughter gave me) that no matter what tactic I try, it is his choice at the end of it. Meanwhile he is wasting his precious life with the poor decisions he is making.
I cried last night, I cry now! Why is life so hard! I feel totally alone, yet I was reminded that God somehow has everything in control. I realised last night that for a long time I have been neglecting God in my problems. Is that just a mum thing… coz… you know, mums can kiss and make it all better! When they were little it was as simple as that wasn’t it, how I long for those days again. Now, as they are bigger there are bigger issues, little kids - little problems, big kids - big problems. Last night I was trying to figure it all out. But I realised I had nothing to offer, I could do nothing to fix it. I was totally at a loss.
What am I left with? I asked myself this question.
OH…. what about prayer, what about God? Do I dare say… I can’t do it anymore, God can you please help me, help my son, help my family! I didn’t even have the words really, I just wanted God to convict where He needed to convict, and to councel and love my son. I have run out and am left with nothing to offer! Isn’t that sad? I have nothing more to give. I am completely spent!
Last night was last night.
This morning after doing all the morning chores, I checked Carla’s blog, and what do you think I read?
In a post called Pondering Things, she is going through a very similar thing! Oh, my sister across the seas is feeling pain and she has posted about it. She is reminded of Hannah in 1 Samuel and wonders… when are we mothers to stop laying awake at night concerned for our children? The children that have been lent to us by the Almighty God.
It is a heart felt post, one that confirmed to me that my night of tears is shared by many mothers around the globe, one that also teaches me to put my children’s care into God’s Hands. A wonderful post, one that I will try to put into practice.
One of the commenters said something that confirmed it all the more. A wonderful comment, one that I really needed to read today. The whole post was a gift to me from God Himself!
If you are a mum, going through bitterness of heart, please see Carla’s post and be encouraged.
I am working on it, I pray that I let God into my troubled heart, and I pray to just hand my family back to Him. I can’t kiss and make it better in every situation, and I recognise that. I really need you Lord!
Thanks Carla, you truly are a woman of God, you have truly touched me today. And I thank the Lord for you!
The UN, Israel and Babylon Rising
UN Rights Council to Absolve Cuba and Belarus; Israel Facing Permanent Indictment:
Dictators Fidel Castro of Cuba and Alexander Lukashenko of Belarus will be celebrating the UN Human Rights Council’s likely adoption tomorrow of a new reform package that will see both regimes dropped from a blacklist, while Israel is placed under permanent indictment.
Contrary to all the promises of reform issued last year, the proposal released today by Council President Luis Alfonso de Alba targets Israel for permanent indictment under a special agenda item: “Human rights situation in Palestine and other occupied Arab territories,” which includes “Human rights violations and implications of the Israeli occupation of Palestine and other occupied Arab territories“; and “Right to self-determination of the Palestinian people.” No other situation in the world is singled out — not genocide in Sudan, not child slavery in China, nor the persecution of democracy dissidents in Egypt and elsewhere. Moreover, the council’s one-sided investigative mandate of “Israeli violations of international law” is the only one without a set term, to be renewed “until the end of the occupation.” @UN Watch
Meanwhile…
Sadly, despite having some promise on paper, the new Council has not been an improvement over the much-derided Commission. In some ways, it has even been worse. Members are supposed to be elected based on their human rights records, yet the Council includes persistent violators, and after the upcoming elections is expected to include several more. It is supposed to objectively and non-selectively promote and protect human rights worldwide, yet it has ignored the world’s worst abusers while repeatedly condemning only one country in the entire world—Israel. It is supposed to strengthen the UN’s human rights mechanisms, yet threatens now to erode the system and eliminate many of the independent experts.
In this report, we assess the 2006-2007 Council’s record by considering those votes and actions that were the most significant to Council stakeholders. These include most prominently resolutions addressing specific countries, as well as other resolutions implicating bedrock democratic principles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Our analysis shows that, although slightly more than half of the Council’s 47 members are free democracies, only a minority of these countries—about a dozen—have consistently voted in defense of the values and principles that the Council is supposed to promote. Instead, the body has been dominated by an increasingly brazen alliance of repressive regimes seeking not only to spoil needed reforms but to undermine the few meaningful mechanisms of UN human rights protection that already exist. Their goal is impunity for systematic abuses. @UN Watch
So therefore…
Libya Candidate to Head UN Anti-Racism Panel:
The government of Libya was chosen for the 15-member governing bureau of a UN anti-racism conference to be held in Geneva later this month, and is a candidate to be its Chair. The Human Rights Council’s five regional groups also named Iran, Saudi Arabia, and Russia to the bureau of the conference charged with preparing a 2009 gathering that will follow up on the controversial Durban conference of 2001. Also declaring its candidacy for the Chair position is Armenia—hardly a paragon of virtue, except by comparison. Simply put, choosing Colonel Kaddafi to head a world anti-racism conference would be like appointing a pyromaniac to be town fire chief. How can a regime that consistently ranks as one of the most notorious violators of human rights—that sentenced to death five Bulgarian nurses and a Palestinian doctor only because they were foreigners and therefore easy scapegoats—be charged with promoting fundamental principles of human dignity and equality? @UN watch
The Hypocrisy continues…
And now some a calling for the UN Headquarters to be allocated to somewhere else…
How does Iraq (Old Testament Babylon) sound to you? Now if that doesn’t raise some prophetic alarm bells… Keep a very close eye on this!
Having the UN headquarters in Iraq, and considering how much the UN is against Israel, opens up a can of worms for that tiny state. The city of Babylon could very well be the center of a world system which will be supported by a world religious system of some sort, this would truly be amazing to the whole globe.
Iraq was a part of the ancient world and was represented by the image of Nebuchadnezzar’s dream. This image will be standing is some form again when Christ comes. When the stone strikes the image on its toes, the whole image crumbles. (Read Daniel)
To see what kind of king ruled Babylon, you must read Daniel. Nebuchadnezzar was one of the kings that ruled Babylon and this king is an anti-type of the anti-Christ. Anti, meaning in place of. When we read about this king it gives us an insight to the rise of unified world power and an insight to what kind of kingdom will be set up and what kind of king will rule this unholy man-made kingdom. Nebuchadnezzar made an image of Gold that was 6 cubits high and 6 cubits broad, all were to bow down and worship this image, Daniel and two others did not bow down (See Daniel 3). Not only that but this king had a dream of a statue that resembled all the kingdoms of the earth.
I am not going to debate about who or what this “Mystery Babylon” represents as many well known scholars that I have great respect for have different views. But I will say this… I know that prophecy will be fulfilled exactly as the scriptures dictate, and when it does come to pass, the world will be amazed and in wonder at the rise of this “Mystery Babylon”, that will include my own amazement and the amazement of others who have studied this “Harlot”. (see Revelation 17)
For my part, I will sit and wait for the revealing, as it will become abundantly clear as time continues to prophetically unfold before our very eyes.
And talking about unfolding….
There is an alliance being formed as we speak, one that Ezekiel predicted. Iran and Russia.
Interestingly, Russia being described as Gog in the Ezekiel prophecy, seems to be pulled into this unusual alliance by being hooked in by its jaw.
Eze 38:3-5 And say, So says the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I am against you, O Gog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal.
And I will turn you back and put hooks into your jaws. And I will bring you and all your army out: horses and horsemen, all of them clothed most perfectly; a great assembly with buckler and shield, all of them swordsmen. Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya are with them, all of them with shield and helmet;
I never really understood this but some are saying that this relationship between Russia and Persia — Modern day Iran — is an unwitting one at that. Russia being pulled into it by the hooking of its jaws. Update: Just thought that the following was interesting
BABYLON IN BIBLE PROPHECY
The subject of “Babylon” in Bible prophecy is indeed a fascinating study. Babylon is mentioned 286 times in the Bible of which 12 usages are found in the New Testament - six of those in the Book of Revelation. The word “Babel” is used twice in Genesis 10:10 and 11:9. Most of the references in the Bible (definitely not all!) refer to the massive and beautiful city of the neo-Babylonian period (625-539 BC). With its “Hanging Gardens” and massive walls it has been regarded as one of the “Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.”The Greek historian Herodotus (484-425 BC) reported upon visiting the site that its splendor surpassed any city of the known world. It was also the capital of the 18th century BC King Hammurabi, and was known throughout history as a great center of culture and religion. It was Nebuchadnezzar II (605-562 BC) who brought Babylon to its glory as it was called “The Palace of Heaven and Earth, the Seat of Kingship.” In Daniel 4:30 we read of Nebuchadnezzar’s boasting: “Is not this great Babylon, that I have built for the house of my kingdom by the might of my power, and for the honor of my majesty?” Of course, he was judged by God for that arrogance!
Ancient Babylon covered an area of over 1000 acres making it the largest city of the ancient world, some 15% larger than the great Assyrian city Nineveh. Babylon had 1179 temples and a population of over 100,000 people but could have easily handled over 250,000 people. The famous “Ishtar Gate” was 70 feet high and its arched opening 15 feet wide.
Babylon’s most significant temple was Esagila (”the temple that raises its head”) and was supposedly the home of the god Marduk. According to cuneiform documents the temple was surrounded by an enclosure of about 1410 feet by 720 feet and housed over 50 other temples and shrines. It is interesting to read Jeremiah’s comment in Jeremiah 50:38: “It is a land of graven images, and they are mad upon their idols.” Over 6000 figures (idols) were uncovered in the excavations of ancient Babylon with over 10 major altars in the city. There were 180 open-air shrines for Ishtar (goddess of sex and fertility) and 200 identifiable places for other deities.
Adjacent to the Temple of Esagila was the tower or ziggurat named Etemenanki - called “the foundation house of heaven and earth.” It measured about 300 feet square at the base and rose in seven stages to a height of 300 feet. It could very well have been reconstructed and restored from the original “Tower of Babel” mentioned in Genesis 11. The Babylonians believed it was built by the gods. From the air, about 24 of these ziggurats are visible across the Mesopotamian Valley.
The interesting thing about this ancient city of Babylon is that it pictures or illustrates a global empire of politics and religion that will infiltrate all the nations of the world. In Bible prophecy, there is usually a “near and far” aspect to what is being said. That is, a “near” prophecy about the historical time being presented by the biblical passage, but within it, predictions about a “far” future, often connected with the phrase “the Day of the Lord” - a phrase used 25 times and referring to the future tribulation coming to planet earth.
Revelation 17 and 18 pictures “Babylon the Great” has a woman riding a beast with seven heads, and ten horns on the 7th head. The “woman” is called a “mystery” and a “mother” of all kinds of abominations and harlots. Bible prophecy teachers have continued throughout church history to disagree over the meaning and interpretation of the term “Babylon the Great.” Is it referring to a literal rebuilt city at the same location? Or is it an allegorical term referring to a global religious system that will dominate the end time events? Time will tell! God bless you. @Hope For Today

I Thought I would just draw your attention to the Global Vision Channel. This is a site where you can watch world renown teachers speak about important biblical issues that are pivotal for today. Biblical Prophecy is unfolding before our very eyes and most people either don’t realise it, or they are told that biblical prophecy is not something that the Church should interest herself in.
The topics include the importance of Israel and the role she plays in end time events as well as the Church with its progressive, or should I say - regressive - fall into apostasy and gnostic teaching with such moves as the emerging/emergent church gaining ground. Ultimately this will lead the church into an interfaith ecumenical one world religion. And as Roger Oakland says, at the end of it all, back to Rome.
Jacob Prasch also talks about the famous three legged stool ( Rick Warren uses this term when talking about solving the World’s problems) addressing the economic, political and religious push for global unity.
It also addresses today’s economic and political movements which are looked at through the lens of scripture and how biblical prophecy is unfolding with amazing accuracy.
Each topic is no longer that five minutes, so each is very easy to follow and straight to the point.

God’s Providence - God’s Will - Mans Will
I wrote the following sometime ago when dealing with a question concerning those who have not yet heard the Name above all Names, that being Jesus Christ. And I used it again when Carla brought up a post called ‘To Chew On‘.
Act 17:26-27 And He made every nation of men of one blood, to live on all the face of the earth, ordaining fore-appointed seasons and boundaries of their dwelling, to seek the Lord, if perhaps they might feel after Him and might find Him, though indeed He not being far from each one of us.
I believe wholeheartedly that the above scripture is talking of the Providence of God. Meaning this, that with a truthful and seeking heart, God will provide the answer to that honest question. That question being — How do I know Him? — Who is He? — And who is this UNKNOWN GOD?
He will not in all His providence allow a Buddhist, Islamist or even a person from the remotest part of the world, anyone for that matter, who is genuinely seeking the absolute truth, humbly as a sinner whose works are recognized by the seeker as filthy rags and in the full knowledge of his sinful and fallen nature to continue without the truth being revealed in some way by some miraculous act of God. Whether it is through bringing someone into that person’s life that knows Jesus already and is willing to share the Gospel, or by some other way that God sees fit. Who is to say that God cannot do this if He be the Almighty God who says He is Merciful. Who can be dogmatic about what God can and cannot do when there is a sinner who has recognized himself as that.
I believe that not one in heaven would not have heard of the Greatest Name above all Names.
I believe in Gods providence in the desperate situations of those who truly seek for Him. His name is exalted above all others. When people ask me - “What about those who are good people and who have since the cross died never hearing the name of Jesus?” Well, I am inclined to think that there may be no such a thing… why would you limit God and His intervention and His providence in that person’s life when God truly knows their heart and their search for Him or even their lack of it.
Maybe the question should be rephrased; maybe it should not be “What about those people who have died since the resurrection and have never heard of Jesus? But rather, why haven’t those people heard of the Name above all Names! Perhaps they are not truly in their heart of heart seekers of God.
Then on Carla’s blog More Books and Things someone asked in light of the above what I thought about Romans 9:22.
This is my answer:
I would firstly like to take the verse Rom 9:22 in context and see if I can glean anything from the chapter and from the Old Testament. I will also look up some commentaries that I have on my PC and paste what I think would be of valuable opinion. Commentary is in italics.
Rom 9:17-23 For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, “For this very thing I raised you up, so that I might display My power in you, and so that My name might be publicized in all the earth.” (Ex. 9:16) So, then, to whom He desires, He shows mercy. And to whom He desires, He hardens. You will then say to me, Why does He yet find fault? For who has resisted His will? Yes, rather, O man, who are you answering against God? Shall the thing formed say to the One forming it, Why did You make me like this? (Isa. 29:16) Or does not the potter have authority over the clay, out of the one lump to make one vessel to honor, and one to dishonor? (Jer. 18:6) But if God, desiring to demonstrate His wrath, and to make His power known, endured in much long-suffering vessels of wrath having been fitted out for destruction, and that He make known the riches of His glory on vessels of mercy which He before prepared for glory,
The word “hardeneth” means only to harden in the manner specified in the case of Pharaoh. It does not mean to exert a positive influence, but to leave a sinner to his own course, and to place him in circumstances where the character will be more and more developed see; John 12:40 “He has blinded their eyes” and “has hardened their heart,” “that they might not see with the eyes” and “understand with the heart,” “and be converted,” “and I should heal them.” Isa. 6:10
It implies, however, an act of sovereignty on the part of God in thus leaving him to his chosen course, and in not putting forth that influence by which he could be saved from death. (Barnes)
The premise here is that people who reject the truth will become hardened of heart, like Pharaoh. We also notice that Pharaoh was given many chances but instead became increasingly hardened to the truth. Not only that, but according to the passage in John 12:40 People have been blinded and hardened so that they may not see or understand so that they cannot be converted or healed. How do we reconcile that? By looking at God’s longsuffering heart towards Pharaoh, how many chances did he get? There is a point when people have had God speak to them over and over yet they still will themselves against the truth. So much so that in the end they become willfully blind. Even if we look at what happens in the last days God Himself sends a delusion so strong to those who will not see the truth. These people are a bit like Pharaoh.
I understand that this comment/post could possibly lead into the ‘Free Will’ vs ‘Pre-destined’ category and even so far as the ‘Calvinism’ vs. ‘Arminian’ debate. And this topic can get very heated and I have to say that it is one that I don’t feel compelled or drawn into even though I do lean towards Arminian while rejecting completely the Pelegian heresy. Both sides of the fence call either side a damnable heresy and a doctrine straight from the pit of hell. I just don’t want to go there because of my understanding that God’s Mercy and Grace is to be held in high tension together with His Judgment and Wrath.
I have a fallible mind and trying to reconcile seemingly paradoxical doctrines and scripture seriously does my head in. But what I can show from my understanding of scripture is that God is all of the above (and much more of course) and how God interferes (for want of a better word) into our Historical lineal time is something that He does in fact do.
I can say with 100% certainty that He does shape me, but I also have free will. I am neither a puppet nor a master and I am a vessel that He has shaped but I have also surrendered my will to be shaped. Although, at times I do resist. Is my will stronger than His, or is He just long suffering? I think the later.
Both ‘Free Will’ and ‘Pre-destination’ has been argued biblically for centuries and both have very good arguments. I can honestly say that I see that both views (Free Will/Predestination) must be held in tension with one another. Even if they are seemingly opposing, it is one of the great mysteries because Gods ways are just that! Remember God says:
Isa 55:8-9 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith Jehovah. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
But I do know that a merciful God who hears the crying pangs of a repentant sinner will bestow upon that sinner His Grace.
The below explains a little bit of God’s will in showing His wrath because of obstinate ( those who become willfully blind) unbelief.
What if God, being willing - Referring to Rom 9:18-19. That is, although it was now his will, because of their obstinate unbelief, to show his wrath - Which necessarily presupposes sin. And to make his power known - This is repeated from Rom 9:17. Yet endured - As he did Pharaoh. With much longsuffering - Which should have led them to repentance. The vessels of wrath - Those who had moved his wrath by still rejecting his mercy. Fitted for destruction - By their own willful and final impenitence. Is there any injustice in this? (Barnes)
No, that is not injustice at all.
Rom 9:22 What if God, willing to show his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:
The Greek ‘Willing’ Willing (θέλων) Although willing, not because. Referring not to the determinate purpose of God, but to His spontaneous will growing out of His holy character. In the former sense, the meaning would be that God’s long-suffering was designed to enhance the final penalty. The emphatic position of willing prepares the way for the contrast with long-suffering. Though this holy will would lead Him to show His wrath, yet He withheld His wrath and endured. (Vincent’s Word Studies)
I don’t think we should use this chapter, which uses the illustration of Pharaoh’s hardened heart and the long suffering of God, to build a doctrine for either ‘Calvinism’ or ‘Arminianism’ or indeed ‘Pre-destination’ vs ‘Free-Will’.
This chapter illustrates to me, that man left to his own un-repentant self, will become a vessel of wrath because God’s will is that His Holiness — which can have no part in evil — has to be revealed and is to be revealed at some point in History. So yes, God’s hand is in that also, but only after His long suffering does He see fit to exercise his will for mans destruction. Also, we must remember that God did send Moses and Aaron who were collectively the mouthpiece of God to Pharaoh and Pharaoh chose to not hear with open ears, so he then became increasingly willfully blind.
On the other hand man who is repentant has God’s mercy bestowed upon him and he becomes a vessel of mercy, God also has His hand in this act. And He must because He is Merciful.
Both points illustrate God’s nature and His will toward ‘mans will’ (as He is bound by His nature and His Word) and it also shows ‘mans will’ becoming shaped and formed to manifest God’s nature and His will. Whether mans will is obstinate or submissive both have outcomes that is within the Will of God and both outcomes are to His Glory showing Him to be both Merciful and Holy. It is a marriage between the two somewhat.
Rom 9:23 and that He make known the riches of His glory on vessels of mercy which He before prepared for glory,
I cannot — and will not– argue from only one side of this centuries old debate, but I can say that God is Merciful and Long Suffering but He is also Holy and Righteous. Because of this, He does at the end of it, have to show His Holiness which is to set Himself apart from anything unholy including willfully blind obstinate sinful creatures that have been left to their own devices, who when at the day of judgment, have not the name of Jesus or His blood covering because their ears did not hear it or their eyes could not see because of their willful blindness.
Does this make any sense at all? Or have I obfuscated and confused things more?
