Prophetic Children
A while ago I posted about a certain church that I know of personally that was expecting a couple of speakers by the names of Rick and Rozi Penny. In the post called Ok, now I’m scared! I made mention of the ‘Streams Ministries International’ site.
The Encounter
On that site there was an article called ‘Dreams: Children & The Night Season’ where it states that we as adults must train our children to enter into the ‘night season’ to meet with visitors — they call angels — in dreams. I will quote from that website again:
A friend of mine told me of an encounter she had one night as she was sleeping. A person or being came into her room and when she saw it she started asking it questions, like “where are we in the Book of Revelation?” and the person said “I am not at liberty to say.” This went on for a while, her asking it questions with the response being “I am not at liberty to say,” so she asked “why are you here?” and the person said “Are you training your children in the gift they have? Because if you don’t the World will.”[...]
[...]In our dreams, or as I like to say “the Night Season”, is a very important way that God communicates to us. It is a language of the spirit that the church has lost that we need rediscover and help our children to learn.
Are You Training Your Children?
Here are some simple ways to build value in your child’s dream life, and glean some meaning:
1.Write down their dreams – create a dream journal
2.Have them draw pictures of their dreams
3.Have them act out their dreams (this can be really hilarious for the whole family)
4.Try to interpret their dreams, keep it simple
5.Review their dreams every 6 months
This is really dangerous stuff.
Rapturous Children
There is more going on with this ‘Prophetic Movement’ and with other ministries that share similar methods of training children that meets the eye, which I will get to later on in this post, so please stay with me.
But first, over at Carla’s blog, she has written a post called ‘Kids Praying Like Grown Ups’ … watch this video of the children praying. It really disturbed me that it appeared that these children were emulating their parents (monkey see, monkey do scenario, that is what I thought at first, but the plot thickens) and that these kids are seemingly entering into a rapturous state. It didn’t sit quite right with me and I wasn’t really sure why.
The Samuel Generation has an Indigo Hue
But as I was researching this I came across a ministry called ‘Kids in Ministry International’. On this site I found something that is so ‘New Age’ and occultic that I just had to warn others about it.
This ministry is dedicated to raising up the ‘Samuel Generation’ and has even made reference to the ‘New Indigo Children‘ where it states the following:
A few months ago I received an email from a Christian father who wanted advice to genuinely help his young daughter, whom he felt was very prophetic, and wanted to know if she might be a prophetess. He described to me some of the traits his daughter was exhibiting such as the ability to talk to animals and communicate with the dead. In his email he mentioned that his wife felt she was definitely an “indigo child.” I had never heard the term before, so I quickly did some research on the Internet. To my great chagrin found out this was a term coined by psychics to describe the unique “spiritual” characteristics of certain children in this generation.
If there was ever a doubt to us before, it should be crystal clear to us now that this is truly the Joel 2:28 generation, that in which sons and daughters will prophecy, see visions, dream dreams and do signs, wonders, and miracles. Let us never doubt again their ability to see angels, and other creatures in the spirit world, and work harder than ever to channel them into the right side of the spirit world.
It’s more important than ever that we train them in what the Bible says about the spirit world, so they can recognize the true from the false.
This is what Keith from ‘The Sign of Jonah’ blog ( who I have recently added to my blogroll) has to say in a post called ‘Suffer the Little Children’. In it he addresses this ‘Samuel Generation’ or dare I say the ‘Indigo Children’.
Becky Fisher is taking children as young as 6 years old into her “Kids in Ministry” training program. She and others claim that God is raising up a “Samuel Generation” of children who will all have prophetic occurrences. I have seen other programs that take children as young as 3. @The Sign of Jonah
Biblical anomalies
He addresses why this is un-biblical and that this is a case of overstating a biblical example, when he says this.
This teaching of a “Samuel Generation” is just one more attempt by someone in the prophetic movement to take a Biblical anomaly and attempt to turn it into an end-time norm.
I am all for training children in areas that are appropriate for them considering their stage of development. But children should not be introduced to activities that require maturity and discernment. It is dangerous. We might do well to remember that the Salem witch trials began from the spiritual experiences and accusations of girls who were nine and eleven. We might do well to remember the fiasco of the Children’s Crusade.
Many of these children are being brought into realms of spiritual activity for which they lack the necessary tools. I fear that what we may be raising is a generation of kids who have been introduced to demonic manifestations.
I completely agree with Kieth on this point. This goes deeper than one can imagine as you will soon find when you read the other articles that I have provided at the end of this post.
Its all about our New Evolutionary Awakening
There is a thing called ‘The Indigo Evolution‘ where they believe that these
children are the next phase of human evolution that will usher in the ‘Global Awakening’ that we are on the brink of currently. Red Flag waving for me, big time.
By the way here is the list found at the ‘Indigo Child’ website that determines if your child is an ‘Indigo Child’:
- They come into the world with a feeling of royalty (and often act like it)
- They have a feeling of “deserving to be here,” and are surprised when others don’t share that.
- Self-worth is not a big issue. They often tell the parents “who they are.”
- They have difficulty with absolute authority (authority without explanation or choice).
- They simply will not do certain things; for example, waiting in line is difficult for them.
- They get frustrated with systems that are ritually oriented and don’t require creative thought.
- They often see better ways of doing things, both at home and in school, which makes them seem like “system busters” (nonconforming to any system).
- They seem antisocial unless they are with their own kind. If there are no others of like consciousness around them, they often turn inward, feeling like no other human understands them. School is often extremely difficult for them socially.
- They will not respond to “guilt” discipline (”Wait till your father gets home and finds out what you did”).
- They are not shy in letting you know what they need.
Sounds more like a discipline problem to me. But hey, I’m old school!
Some interesting articles on the Indigo’s
- Indigo the color of money
- Indigo kids: Does the science fly?
- The New Human
- Little Boy Blue… Eventually indigo’s will redeem the world, making it a tropical Eden free of trash, war and processed foods. But if somehow blocked from their purpose, indigo’s may turn dark, killing their parents, classmates or anyone else who stands in their way.

Should the Lord tarry, can you imagine what the world will be like when they all grow up? Wow, scary indeed.
Sounds like some people need to step away from the kids, take a deep breath, and rejoin reality.
It’s one thing to teach a kid to understand his own spirtuality/emotions/inner thoughts, but to convince the kid that he’s a prophet, or that angels speak to him in dreams…
Seems to me, as a parent, that that’s just encouraging mental delusions.
Not that it reallys matters but….the Indigo children are between 11 and 29yrs. now. The younger child is a crystal child…supposedly further on up the evolution scale….according to Doreen Virtue……http://crystalchildren.com/links.htm . I first heard about it when the movie “The Indigo Child” came out. Our local association for the developmentally challenged sponsored the showing of this movie…… as a fundraiser for therapuetic riding. I was amazed at how many people knew about it and were actually rearing their children accordingly!!!! To me ,the children of these parents seemed to cater to them and excuse some very negative behaviour….scary stuff for sure
Oh boy….here are the attributes of these younger children http://crystalchildren.com/authors/rother_get_ready.htm It’s a good thing my daughter and son-in-law will be raising my 2 brandnew grandchildren in the fear and admonition of the Lord.. thanks for this topic Vee…..good one
That is good news about your daughter and her family being raised this way.
This topic was not an easy one for me to write about as it involves very young minds.
I have come across some of the things that these indigo’s say, and to be quite frank with you it isn’t far from what some in the ‘New Reformation’ are saying. It all has a common thread. That thread being unity in diversity, some kind of oneness that can be achieved by contemplating heavily within oneself to find the same essence of being that is within each and everyone of us.
I may quote some messages from these kids at some point if you like. But I think that all who come here know exactly what is going on and how this is a New Age/Occultic philosophy that has crept into society big time.
V
I have a post coming up that examines further the new age connection, and where these children actually come from. They are either very delusional or there is a spiritual war-fare going on for these kids minds and souls.
I am guessing that it is the later.
My next post examines the ties with UFOs and evolutionary theory.

Oh these crystal children will reflect fear back…
the above take from Get ready for the Crystal Children.
I’m sick.
Jesus had some strong words for people who make children stumble. I know those words may have been an allusion to young believers, but there’s no doubt in my mind that children were definitely included in His statements.
What an insult to Almighty God!! Sickening. I’m seriously getting more and more angry as I sit here. How can you do this to children?
God have mercy on these unknowing little ones and keep your hand on them and bring them out of this lie!
This is the occult with christianese cloaked over it.
You know what kills me the most? The church for a long time has been alot like a fat, blind and discernment lacking Eli, full of compromise and not dealing with sin in the House of God or his own house (same people involved). God did raise Samuel in that atmosphere and kept His hand on him and made him an awesome prophet, despite his upbringing.
I have met a few folks here and there over the last ten years who came up in charismatic foolishness (as I did) and have come out of it by the hand of God much the same way as Samuel. What I’m saying is that there is legitimate truth to a “Samuel company” being watched over by God because of the state of the Eli church, so to speak. Oddly enough, this “prophetic” movement is so soft soap on sin and blind, without discernment that IT is Eli and doesn’t even know it!!!
Godly irony is indeed the ultimate kind.

Godly irony yeah…. I see it a lot lately.
We must be brought to our knees in prayer. God is certainly judging His house, is He not?
Speaking of irony.
I remember seeing a video of the “Toronto Thing” and one lady was saying that she had a prophecy given to her about this move of God, she was all for this move and was sure that it was a good thing.
Anyway… the prophecy was of ‘The Wizard of Oz’ and how the Holy Spirit was Toto the dog, leading them on the path toward the Wizard who was God a symbol of God.
Ha… now didn’t toto reveal the truth behind the veil, that the wizard was no wizard at all, but a FAKE!!!!
Now there’s irony.
I couldn’t even watch the entire video, it gave me goosebumps - and not of the nice kind.
You know, when I was little (around 3) my sister and I saw an angel, I still remember it now. My parents didn’t get all pedantic about it, they didn’t decide we were prophets. They said we were very lucky that God was protecting us with his Angels all the time, and left it at that. I grew up with that feeling of being protected and safe by Angels. The most terrified I have ever been was in my old church (you know the one V, but for others it was styled on the Toronto blessing type thing), while a group of people prayed for me. They thought I was demon possessed because I suddenly started screaming - I was screaming because I was suddenly overwhelmed with a feeling of terror, and felt like I was being attacked by something. I was only 14 or 15 at the time, and they put that fear into me. I worry for the children on that video that they will look back with the same types of memories that I have.
You see? That (Sara) makes me a lot more inclined to believe your story. It didn’t get spooked or hyped. It happened, you were innocent little girls who saw something real.
I have no negative “check in the gut” about your story and it isn’t outside of the perameters of scripture…
I haven’t checked out your blog yet, but have you written a little more in depth about that experience you just described? I’d love to hear it, or reprint it on my blog….with your permission of course.
Wow. That’s all I can say.
LJ, I like how you pointed out what Toto ended up doing! How ironic indeed…the Holy Spirit HAS pulled away the curtain of this false movement and those behind it have been telling us for a few years to pay no attention to the man behind the curtain, but to get our eye’s on the “Wizard”. In other words, don’t pay attention to exposed lies and deceptions, just keep focuse on your own idea of who God is (as false as it may be).
Oy vey…
mark jr.
Hey guys,
Are the “New Indigo Children” affiliated in any way with the lesbian, neo-commie folk duo the Indigo Girls?
Mark Jr - you may want to check this possible connection out….
Peace,
Rob
I have no idea about a folk duo called Indigo Girls!
I have never heard of them.
Apparently a lot of these Indigo Children have been born to mainly New Age parents with some very pagan ideas.
I was just pointing out that the Indigo Children have been spoken about within Chrisitan circles as a possible generation that is more atuned to the spiritual realm than other children. Almost believing that there is a super spiritual generation being born today.
Sites like ‘Kids in Ministry’ who are closely linked to ‘The New Apostolic Movement’ believe that these children could possibly be used by God if given the right direction. This is a wrong thing to do. That is like saying to a medium that if they come to a Christ like faith (and I use that term loosly), Jesus may still use the gift that He has given you.
I don’t believe that this is a biblical way to do things.
The closest you get to using a medium in the bible is in
1Sa 28:7 Then Saul said to his servants, “Seek out for me a woman who is a medium, that I may go to her and inquire of her.” And his servants said to him, “Behold, there is a medium at En-dor.”
Saul did this because he could not get an answer from the Lord. Saul was forsaken by God He tries to seek direction from God, but obtains no answer. He has now neither conscience nor faith.
Is there a lesson here!
I’m afraid you totally missed the point back in May when you wrote about Becky Fisher and the parents reported their daughter could “communicate with animals and with the dead.” The parents asked Becky if she could be an “Indigo Child.”
The parents were, of course, referring to a concept embraced by certain New Age and occult groups. They want their children to be open to and respond to “spirits.” Unlike many Christians, these deceived people DO understand that children are spiritual beings who are not yet closed to spiritual things because of intellectualism and “leaning on their own understanding.”
What these New Age people do NOT understand is their children are connecting and responding to demonic spirits. Demons in “disguises” of beauty and light.
Then, you included information about the “indigo child” and occult practices. You connected Becky Fisher and Kids in Ministry International with these New Age “Indigo Child” proponents.
You totally misunderstood Becky Fisher and Kids in Ministry.
KIMI teaches:
Children are spiritual people. God made them that way because HE is spirit.
They respond and are open to spiritual things.
God’s Holy Spirit is reaching children. The enemy is also.
Christians must understand that children really do hear the Holy Spirit (or, in the case of some children, hear demonic spirits). They really do see angels and have visions…In their own, child-like, innocent way.
Becky was warning the Church to guide and teach and provide sound, biblical foundations for children so their open, sweet, innocent spirits cannot be deceived and misled by the enemy (remember he was described as “beautiful” and like and “angel of light.”
So…Becky and Kids in Ministry International tells people to teach children sound, biblical foundations for understanding, hearing, and responding to God’s Holy Spirit. She was NOT saying that any Christian should embrace the concept of Indigo Children!
From some of the footage I have seen of Becky Fisher and her leading these children into the practices of the so called Toronto Blessing which is based in experiential christianity and is over seen by so called apostolic prophets , I have major concerns that these children are being led in a way that is mystic and has more to do with eastern mysticism that biblical christianity. This New Apostolic Reformation which is being pushed onto the so called’Samuel Generation‘ by the way of the new prophets, Kim Clement and Cindy Jacob being just two of them, are teaching these kids something that has no biblical basis; this movement has been examined and is found to fall short of biblical christianity by many people (and I am not the only lone voice who is very concerned about this so called movement of God). Many people have studied this movement and have found it to be based in experience rather than sound biblical teaching. It is rather New Age dressed up in christian garb.
I know that there are many who have accepted this move as a move from God and they will disagree with me as far as the ‘Toronto Blessing’ is concerned. That is their right. But I know many people who have come out of that (including myself) and have examined it against scripture and have found it to be an un-scriptural practice and a dangerous one that is leading the Church into the New Age.
