Ok, now I’m scared!

I was just doing some more research into the ‘Orbs of light guy’ Rev. Darrel E. Stott, you may remember I posted about him a while back, Stott follows in the wake of the ‘William Branham Anointing‘ (perhaps the Branham mantle has rested upon him) he travels all around the globe to pass this anointing onto the unsuspecting.
A church that I know of is foolishly having him as a guest speaker in the next few weeks.
I didn’t know a lot about Branham, but Carla from More Books and Things has recently written a post that told me everything that I needed to know concerning that wolf I mean ‘man’ hmmm…. wolf-man Branham. This took me back to Darrel E. Stott and his web-page to check out the latest from the ‘Glory Man’ himself to see the connections between the two men.
This photo (see thumbnail) has been taken from Stott’s web-page, it is a photo of the angelic beings that surround him. Not only are they appearing as circles or orbs nowadays; but there is a ‘new thing happening’ in the ‘Glory Realm‘ of Stott’s world, these angels appear as diamonds. Go to the link to see pictures of this. Or click the thumbnail on the left to see the ‘Diamond Angels’, this is taken directly from his site.
Here is the William Branham reference on Stott’s web-site below. On his site he testifies that an angel visited him in an ‘open vision’ (huh, what is that???) and told him that the anointing of William Branham will fall upon him and all Stott had to do was wait for it.

Darrel Stott has apparently been know to carry the ‘Glory of God‘ at times too and several photo’s have an image of him with this Glory resting upon him, like Moses perhaps? Yep, now I’m convinced! NOT!!
You see, according to what I read on Carla’s blog and from reading the outside links from her post, William Branham (and remember too that Stott now has this ‘angelic anointing’) has a thing about angels, yes … that is clear, but it also appears that there is a little thing about eagles. Notice that on Branham’s tomb stone; which is a pyramid by the way, if that isn’t enough warning for you that there is also an eagle on top of this pyramid. What is with that?
Here is the eagle found at Stott’s site on a page called ‘Prophetic Words by Darrel Stott‘. What is with this eagle? I wonder if we are going to see that symbol pop up in questionable christian circles?
And now for some more heresy… Drum roll please……….
After all of this I went to check up on this church who is having this guy come to spread his ‘Glory’ around. And what do you think I find, but more heresy.
Another couple is coming to the church not long after ‘Stott’s Angel and Supernatural Stone Crusade’ (yeah you read me right, Supernatural Stones are now appearing … look here … come to think of it, I do need some stones for beading, maybe some Swarosvki crystals would be nice).
This couple is part of the ‘Streams Ministries’ so I just had to check it out — and rightly so — it is called being a berean I think, read the following:
Rick and Rozi Penny have been associated with Streams Ministries International since 1997 and are certified teachers for Streams Institute for Spiritual Development (ISD).
They both operate under a “revivalist” anointing in ministry to the Body of Christ. Rick’s gift of exhortation and faith coupled with Rozi’s revelatory unction serve to ignite and encourage the hearts of believers. The Lord uses them to “stir up the gifts” in others and gives them insight into strongholds and roadblocks that hinder local bodies.
Their ministry gifts were birthed at World Harvest Bible College under Pastor Rod Parsley. During their association with Streams Ministries, God has built on these Pentecostal roots an understanding of dreams, visions, and the simple lifestyle of being “naturally supernatural.” This combination has given them a unique anointing for teaching and ministry. (This blurb is taken from the ‘Streams Ministries Website’ and is also found at the Church I know of personally)
Anyway, I popped on over to the ‘Streams Ministry Web-Site’ and read a few articles that I found there.
One article is called ‘A Glimpse of Heaven’ and below I have quoted some of it for you. I am going to red flag this like no-bodies business, in fact this whole post is red flagged but I bet you guessed that I have done that already haven’t you?
A second angel of white light appears behind me and is traveling with us. I ask him, “Where are we going?” He says that we are going to translate as soon as we find our gate (portal).
I am witnessing a heavenly atmosphere that is growing thicker. Somehow, I know this atmosphere will soon will be released upon the Earth. During worship services, some people will be taken up to Heaven, joining in the worship of Heaven. In a similar way, the worship of Heaven will join with us in our worship on earth.
Soon, I am told that some people who serve God on the Earth will often translate into Heaven and interact with the angels and heavenly beings. Angels and heavenly beings will also return with them to work together on Earth. This will fulfill God’s will on Earth, as it is in Heaven, and like it has never been seen in human history. @Streams Ministries
And here is an article from the same web-site about interpreting children’s dreams and how we must train our children for this service, the article is called, ‘Dreams: Children & The Night Season’:
In our dreams, or as I like to say “the Night Season”, is a very important way that God communicates to us. It is a language of the spirit that the church has lost that we need rediscover and help our children to learn.
Are You Training Your Children?
Here are some simple ways to build value in your child’s dream life, and glean some meaning:
1.Write down their dreams – create a dream journal
2.Have them draw pictures of their dreams
3.Have them act out their dreams (this can be really hilarious for the whole family)
4.Try to interpret their dreams, keep it simple
5.Review their dreams every 6 months
Oh … and there is something more that I found at this site. And that is ‘Streams Ministries’ endorse something that is very, very close to ‘automatic writing’ . There is also something that is perhaps a little on the contemplative side of things as well. Also on this site you can buy anointing oil — for a reduced price of course — when you buy two tubes of the ‘exodus ‘Oil for his Glory Healing”. Read carefully why it is called the Exodus oil.
Look, I could go on and on and I could cut, paste and link until my saddened heart is so overwhelmed that I begin to feel physically sick (too late actually, I feel quite unwell now anyway). But seriously this is New-Age occultic stuff. I no longer can call a place that endorses such occultic practices a Christian Church, it is rather a Spiritualist church. Hard words for me to say, in fact it pains me so, but this place is strongly leaning towards spiritualism isn’t it?
This seriously has red flags all over it!!!

The annointing oil is on sale, you could save 3 dollars, aren’t you going to order some?
~sigh~
This is nothing to joke about though, is it?
Oh Vee, so many things were going through my mind as I read this. How sad!
The web page about writing down what God says is all about self…ask God what He thinks about you? Oh brother, how about learning about who God is! Who want’s to know more about themselves!? And the Penny’s ministry gifts were birthed under Rod Parsely? Have you ever heard him speak? I’ve watched him on TBN before, another modern day false prophet that is following the way of Balaam.
I am so sad for the church, and as I read this post I have such a heaviness…the ‘Stottites’ say they see angels of light but this is a false light from the darkness. You can see how these guys all tie together with their angels and eagles. Wow! What else can you expect with the same spirit of deception?
Oh yes, and the boy who watched the angles flying around or something like that…reminds me of the children who saw the apparition of Mary and sat there gazing and chanting prayers to her all day. People all around the world are seeing these apparitions of Mary and worshipping her. Now these people are all excited about angels? Will they be so consumed with angel sightings and themselves that they will miss Jesus when he comes? I think so, because they have not received the love of the truth! How tragic! These are the teachers to whom Jesus will say, “I never knew you.” And what of their sheep? This is so dangerous!
And training the children to analyze and interpret their dreams? Oh, give me a break! Another generation of false prophets…that’s all we need!
Okay, I will stop ranting now.
Oops, I spelled angels wrong. You know what I mean.
I don’t know much about this Rod Parsley guy, but I did find this link:
http://archive.salon.com/opinion/letters/2004/10/20/ohio/index.html
in that link there is someone who says this:
I happen to know about Rod Parsely, because my brother lives in Columbus and attends World Harvest Church. Three or four summers ago, I paid him a visit and visited his church. Though I was already familiar with evangelical fundamentalism and “mega churches,” I was still shocked by what I discovered.
I found a seat inside the enormous auditorium, with its large choir and larger stage. After a few minutes of improvisational shouting, Mr. Parsely’s mother stood in front of the cameras and shouted to the congregation, “How much do you love God? Throw your wallets up on stage!” Scores of people rushed the stage, wallets in hand. It was just like a scene out of Fritz Lang’s “Metropolis.” At that moment, I felt like a Jewish teenager had who accidentally stumbled into a Nuremberg rally.
The service proceeded to the usual performance art: dragging supposedly crippled people in front of the cameras and “healing them,” hate-mongering sermons, and people in the aisles shaking and falling to the ground, set against loud, throbbing music. Mass hypnosis, fear, hate. And wallets.
That’s who Rod Parsely is.
Oh and here is a good article about Parsley.
http://www.letusreason.org/Wf20.htm
I might have to youtube him at a later date.
TBN I have only watched once when Kenneth Copeland was on. No kidding this guy was out there with the fairies. I had no idea what he was talking about.
Judging from the links I have visitied this Rod Parsley guy is much loved by the extreme right wing fundies.
No wonder the church is struggling, you have the counter revolution of this mega hype called the emergent/emerging crowd and then you have the mega down to earth humanitarian movement that opposes this sort of hype.
It seems that the church isn’t just divided but it has split in more than two directions.
I will have to think more on this phenomena (sp?)
Oh ya, you got the Parsely/Copeland thing right. TBN has alot of their type. It’s all about $$$.
By the way, I like your sheep shadow picture. It’s worth a thousand words.
Wow Virginia, what I suprise that I knew exactly what church you were talking about in your post! Did you see on the home page of their site they are finding “glory dust” now? Sounds like someone is going a bit crazy with a container of glitter.
Onto the angels thing… I am not sure if I (or Mum) ever told you, but Rachael and I saw an angel when we were little, about 3 and 4 years old. However, our parents didn’t make it into this huge big deal and we didn’t become annoited saints or prophets. Hey… now I am thinking we didn’t milk it nearly enough…
This whole Glory Dust thing is just false signs and wonders that decieve even the elect:
These false signs and wonders are given and a falling away happens in the house of God:
Not only that but this is for a purpose, it is because judgment starts first in the house of God:
A separation of the sheeps from the goats:
The right hand is an honourable place to be while the left is considered dishonourable and denoting condemnation:
There are heaps of verses that I could pull up, but I think I have made my point.
I just don’t see how Glory Dust points to the Salvific message of the Gospel. The Holy Spirit does not even speak of Himself but only of Christ.

This website grieves me. Far more dangerous than supernatural signs and wonders are critical spirits bent on destroying unity in the church. The church, after all, is people - not a building, not pews, not a platform - but people. Believers in Christ who love Him, adore Him, seek to serve him with their whole heart and only want to see the kingdom of God move forward. In these endtimes, yes, satan (I refuse to capitalize his name) will deceive with counterfeits. But without the real thing, there is nothing to counterfeit. I have been in the presence of supernatural manifestations that have occurred within worship services where people where passionately worshiping the Lord with their whole heart - glorifying and lifting His name. “I inhabit the praises of my people” He says. I find it hard to believe that in a place where people are unified in worshiping and lifting up the name of Jesus Christ - God’s response would be to send lying, deceiving spirits to them. I don’t think God is a trickster - just trying to get His people to fall away. Lying demons counterfeit and do deceive the elect when the elect get out of close relationship with the Savior and start worshipping the miracles. That is a foothold for the enemy to swoop in. But you will never convince me that there are not genuine miracles and signs and wonders - promised by Jesus himself to the believers and to those with the apostolic anointing. It is sad that you would miss this wonderful opportunity to live in the New Testament - instead of by the law. It is the same thing that tripped up the Pharisees. They were so hung up on the supernatural ministry of Jesus - that they could not accept him - and missed him altogether. Please rethink your purpose - which as I see is sowing discord and division - satan’s most purposeful tactic in paralyzing the church from moving forward - and find a place to just love Him and love people. Prayerfully, Cheryl
Unity at any cost is the order of the day I guess.
Unity at the cost of sound doctrine!
2Ti 4:3 For a time will be when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own lusts, they will heap up to themselves teachers tickling the ear;
2Ti 4:4 and they will turn away the ear from the truth and will be turned aside to myths.
God does send a delusion
2Th 2:9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
2Th 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
2Th 2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
So therefore we mus test all things according to scripture
1Th 5:21 Test all things, hold fast the good.
The word is as sharp as a sword able to divide because truth always does divide.
Heb 4:12 For the word of God is living, and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and quick to discern the thoughts and intents of the heart.
I am a whole bible believing christian, and why I see alot of scriptures on this site. I think we ought to be careful how we handle the people whom God has called to represent him. In the word God states touch not mine anoited and do my prophet no harm, our gossip will not stop false prophets or ministries, our weapons of warfare are not carnal we must pray and be good witnesses by example. If we continue to be nasty and negitve we will reap it back, it’s a spiritual law. I’ll pray for you all and I like Rod Parsely he speaks with anionting and coviction and he has all the scripture to back it up. So if something happens you don’t understand or dislike, pray, continue to study, because that’s were the answers are it Christ alone. God Bless You
I think you’re very wise to be cautious and question the inclusion of lights…since the devil does often use lights, however, I was shocked how you are very quick to dismiss the entire teachings and ministry of Branham. From what I gathered you took the word of one person filling you in on who he was and looked at a few photos from this guys website depicting the supernatural lights and claim his entire message is a hoax. Very dangerous grounds. Have you ever read any sermon from Branham? Hmm…”Behold how I knock”
I was always taught to read, research, truly dig into the material i have in question before posting my opinion on the subject…so I guess that’s why i’m so shocked by your quick response. A response gathered after reading someone elses opinion on the matter instead of forming your own based of the actual teachings.
Just to do the flip side. You stated that you read Carla’s post and her provided links for backup on her ideas. What about the other side of this?
For every original there is a counterfeit. Just be careful who you judge the counterfeit to be. Knowledge truly is power…research both sides and never take a persons word for ANYthing..if you want to know about Branhams teaching..Go read some of his sermons. It’s that simple.
Maybe it’s just me, but I like to be real cautious before I dismiss something that is God wishing to bring me closer to his Word..and worse..set up a website to encourage others to do the same quick judgement.
So lets assess this situation. What are we questiong? The lights in images. Okay. Got that answer. Now who is the original and who is the one copying the original in this scenaro? Hmm…something to pray over isn’t it.
Original and counterfeit.
Just so you know thousands were healed in Branhams ministry. By whom? God. (but don’t take my word for it
Go and read up on the prayer meetings. Speak to those who went. Gather knowledge) Remember the man is not important. Don’t get caught up on a name. Look at the Word. For the man is but a mere vessel to be used in Gods design. May we all be so humble.
Oh and as for “What is with that?” in response to eagles? lol.
“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”
Isaiah 40:31, KJV
THAT is “what” is with it
In regards to all those eagle symbols…just came across this today and found it rather interesting:
Shamanism in the Church
Occult “Eagle Spirituality” Manifests in Popular “Prophetic” Ministries
http://www.thebereancall.org/node/2682
That is a brilliant link Carla… A real eye opener! I hope people who come here will go to the link provided!!!!
This explanation about the eagles and the New Apostolic Reformation is really scary stuff.
Thanks for your homework, once again!
I am going to quote something from Swiftfire Ministries…
And this about Bob Jones…
Talk about disgusting behaviour… and this angel swift is something that the followers of Patricia King from Extreme Prophetic are quite familiar with…
[...] [Living Journey notes that Hermon is an orb that appears in photo’s. I speak about the orbs Here and Here as well as the heretic William Branham. The following my email to the Baptist Union in [...]
On the way home from the city today I was reading a book written by the most popular European Roman Catholic theologian alive today for research purposes. I mentioned to my husband that one of the most important things I saw missing in RC theology is the teaching of regeneration by the Holy Spirit which has to preceed sanctification by the Holy Spirit.
(being born again first, then being made spiritually mature -holiness- as an ongoing process in this new life). The sign of the Holy Spirit’s presence in a person’s life is a growing obedience and a life of holiness, not some weird and spectacular manifestation or phenomenon. Unfortunately, many do not understand that it is a life of submission to the Father that is truly a spectacular and most telling sign of the Holy Spirit’s presence as He continues to bring conviction of sin in the believer’s life and renew him. This is a mysterious spiritual process, yes, but it does not bring the oohs and aahs of gold dust and “angels”. Jesus said it was an evil and adulterous people who asked for a physical sign to prove Himself to them.
John 20:29, “Jesus said to him, “Because you have seen Me, have you believed? BLESSED ARE THEY WHO HAVE NOT SEEN, and yet believed.”
I Peter 1:21-22 “Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.
SEEING ye have *purified your souls IN OBEYING THE TRUTH THROUGH THE SPIRIT* unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently”
I John 2:3-5 “AND HEREBY DO WE KNOW THAT WE KNOW HIM, IF WE KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.”
Those who love God are intent on obeying Him and giving God the glory. They need no physical signs of His presence. His Spirit bears witness with their spirit that they belong to Him. (Romans 8:16)
We know we belong to Christ (and have His Spirit) because He disciplines us(not letting us get away with our sin)- see the entire chapter of Hebrews 12.
All of THESE things are evidence of the Holy Spirit’s presence and annointing in a believer’s life. What happened at Pentecost and in the early church (tongues of fire/speaking in tongues) were not to be sought according to the Apostle Paul. They were signs for a particular time and age to signal the beginning of the church. It is not signs we are to look for, but the evidence of a life in transformation, becoming conformed to the person of Christ, growing in obedience and holiness.
There is much confusion in the church today created those who attempt to force God into a position of revealing Himself in a particular manner just because He did so at one time (His character never changes however). We are to test the spirits to see if they are of God, not believing every spirit. Believing that God must manifest Himself in particular ways places people in a position to have their faith shipwrecked when they become disillusioned after they didn’t receive their miracle or manifestation, or leads them down a pathway of delusion when they received a false one. Don’t forget that Pharoah’s magicians could also perform signs and wonders, and they definitely were not agents of the Almighty Creator of the universe, our loving and just God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. If it is signs and wonders you are seeking rather than Christ Himself you will probably get what you asked for, but it more than likely won’t be from the heavenly Father - more likely from the father of lies, Satan, who appears as an angel of light.
Joh 3:49 Nicodemus said to him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?” Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.” Nicodemus said to him, “How can these things be?”
If you have to has about this “being born again” thing… chances are you have not been born again!
If you don’t know what it means… and are unclear about what happens when it happens then I venture to guess it hasn’t happened to you yet! When it happens, there is not denying it…
Thanks for sharing all that you did Bonnie…
God Bless you as you continue in your walk with the Lord!

I sat under D.E.Stott for years and he wouldn’t have me there. I heard the Word wonderfully preached, could not reconcile It with what I saw practiced.
From D E Stott’s website, I would have to say that he really uses eisegesis to endorse his interpretations of scripture.
