In the last days, men will abandon the faith and follow teaching spirits and doctrines of demons. 1Tim 4:1

For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. No wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. Therefore it is not surprising if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness, whose end will be according to their deeds. 2 Cor 13-16

The truth about Orbs is that they are spiritual energy fields. It makes scientific sense that they are in a spherical shape. Because the human race is in a "fallen" condition they will only be able to have communion with similiar spirits. In the bible it is only those who are inwardly holy, who are visited and led into truth by angels. Just look at the 9/11 videos containing strange Orbs and birds and you can see that they are actively sowing fear, terror and deception in the world.

Your fathers use of the word "feel" clearly indicates that he needs to have some sort of sensory experience of God on which to to base his belief. The bible warns that we must walk by faith and not by sight/touch/feelings.

He is veering off the path into spiritism which is the antithisis of christian spirituality.

Hi oldbat, I also wondered why the reference to Ezekial 1 was there too. I actually have no idea why what it refers to that at all.

That particular scripture talks about the appearance of angels in all sorts of colours. Maybe he thinks that the gold rainbow colours are the angels???

One thing I am certain of though, is this is an extremely poor use of exegesis.

supernatural glory dust with the color of the rainbow? i've always suspected this stuff was glitter. a search of ezekiel 1 doesn't find the word "gold", at least not in the kjv. so why is that reference there?

I will also pray for your dad, May the Lord Jesus Christ reveal His Light, His Life, and Truth to him, that his faith will be restored!
So many false prophets, false signs and wonders these days. Whatever is of God will produce good fruit, and abundant life.

May the Lord help us to be genuine in all we think, do and say for His honor and glory.

Blessings to you and your family,

Susan

This is another instance of the "falling away" spoken of regarding the last days...not a falling away from religion but a falling away from the truth.

Again thank you all for praying for my Dad. There is indeed a spiritual battle going on in the house of God! Please remember your battle armor.

Sarah, there are so many people who have been hurt by this so called 'Move by God'.

I was talking to one of my brothers the other day, and he said that he still has major issues and feels guilty at times that he doesn't believe that that particular move was a wonderful move from God. He (along with others) feels abused, spiritually abused.

He heard all the same things as you when you were told not to judge the move because to judge it would be blasphemy of the Holy Spirit and that is the unforgivable sin. He along with you and countless others around the world, lived in fear that they had committed the unforgivable sin because something in their spirit knew that this move just wasn't right, but sadly guilt and fear kept him there ... and it is still keeping people from actually knowing the truth. My mum being one of them ... she does not even consider that the Pastor of the Church should even be examined by scripture. If he says it .... then it must be sound! Even though I have brought up many a times questions about each new fad to hit the Church and pointed out the errors is such teachings. She just looks at me blankly and says "well yes, I see what you mean" then she continues to blindly follow the latest and greatest fad without even a question! This is being willfully blind!

Sadly, this fear and guilt is still a big part for the continuation of this move ... and some people may at times still feel this fear that has been installed into them as a teaching.

So, let me remind us all of this one verse that speaks about the love of God:

1Jo 4:16-19 And we have known and have believed the love which God has in us. God is love, and the one abiding in love abides in God, and God in him. By this, love has been perfected with us, that we have confidence in the day of judgment, that as He is, we are also in this world.
There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has punishment; and the one fearing has not been perfected in love. We love Him because He first loved us.

Hey Auntie V, I was shocked to hear this too - your Dad is the last person I ever thought this would happen too. However, I also do understand how being in that particular church for that amount of time can rock your faith - what I experienced there as a teenager was at times terrifying and I am thankful that I left with my faith intact.
I think my memory of the last time I was prayed for in that church says alot. The head pastor (you know who I mean) was praying for me, with his hand on my forehead. He started to push on my head, but I did not fall down, he pushed and pushed. He actually physically pushed me to the ground, no one caught me, and I hit my head on the cement floor. The pain was so bad I thought I would pass out. I knew then and there (as I had actually felt for months - but of course we had been preached to about those evil thoughts, so I had tried to ignore them) that was was happening was not of God, and I never recieved prayer there again. In fact, I think that was my last time in that church. I still feel shivers down my spine when I see that place.
