I have just come across a website where you can watch prophecy conferences. Teachers there include Yakov Prasch, Roger Oakland, David Hocking, Bill Koenig, John Higgins, Dave Hunt and Rick Oliver. All very biblically sound teachers. If you want to know why Jerusalem is the apple of God’s eye and if you want to know why 80% of churches in the USA are Dominionists, Kingdom Now Theologists or Replacement Theologists where they preach unscriptural teachings of the watered down ‘Social Gospel‘ then this is the site for you.

As a side note I really like watching four of the men differ on side issues especially when someone tells Jacob/Yakov to take a deep breath when discussing preterism, historicism, futurism (and I can’t remember the fourth one) and the teachers who are denying that the rapture will happen, obviously they do not disagree on the fundamentals!

According to an aide to EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana, speaking on condition of anonymity, there will be a “historic political evolution and movement in negotiations in the next few weeks and few months, unseen since the Camp David peace talks in 2000.”

At Israel’s prestigious Herzliya Conference, Knesset Member Shlomo Breznitz, reportedly a close confidante of Olmert, said the Judea and Samaria should be temporarily transferred to the Europeans and that most of the territory’s Jewish communities should be evacuated.

“The only way to get out of the impasse is to transfer the territories, for a limited time, to an international mandate, that will run them until the establishment of a Palestinian state,” said Breznitz at the conference.

The Herzliya Conference is attended by Israel’s top leadership and regularly maps out the country’s agenda for the coming year. In 2004, Prime Minister Ariel Sharon announced his plan to withdraw from Gaza at the conference.

Breznitz told Israel’s Maariv daily newspaper the territories should be transferred to the European community and not the United States because, he said, after the invasion of Iraq America “lost its status as an honest broker in the view of the Palestinians and the Arab states.” @Arutz Sheva

Ooooo… right in line with prophecy! An historic political evolution eh? Solana is 100% right on when he says that! …. this historic political proposal will be one to watch very closely indeed. I wonder if this handover will be for seven years? Or will it be just putting all the pawns in place and setting up the land ready for the AC to step up! I don’t know, but one thing I know for sure is that it has piqued my interest somewhat, and I will be keeping a very close eye on what unfolds here in the middle-east.

Here we have the promised land being freely handed over to the Kingdom of the Beast. It seems that my post where I said the following is slowly coming to fruition:

I mean, c’mon… let’s look at what is happening. Israel has agreed to the EU backed peace force with Solana at the helm. Now, the pressure to retreat is coming from the head honcho himself, and it comes in the name of peace with the promise of a peace force that is about to be sent to Southern Lebanon. How convenient!

For Israel to be pushed back to the 1967 borders it will be impossible for Israel to defend herself against any attack coming from the surrounding Arab nations who are hell bent on destroying her. Just take a look at the geography, they will be left with just 15 Km’s between one border of the West Bank to the Mediterranean Sea. That is impossible to defend.

Walid Shoebat believes that the extremists who are trying to stop Anani’s freedom of speech are also seeking to stifle the important education Anani and his colleagues have to offer on terrorism.

“In order to understand the negative affects of narcotics, reformed drug addicts are often called upon to talk about their experiences,” says Shoebat. “It is the same situation here. Three former terrorists are educating the world on the phenomenon of terrorism, so that people can understand.”

A new page called Midrash, which may be a new term for some of you, but I bet when you have been reading the bible you have been understanding the bible in a midrashic way at times anyway. So, here is an explanation of Midrash which is a Jewish understanding of typology and how they applied it to understand the times in which they lived.

Paul used midrash as did Jesus. The puritans and the Plymouth brethren tried to bring this way of understanding back into a gentile greek minded church. Midrash as Moriel states [...] is a way of understanding scripture that stresses the need to rediscover the scriptures as Hebraic literature (as opposed to Hellenistic literature), demanding the hermeneutic models of Second Temple Period Judaism as a basis in biblical interpretation. Essentially this means an attempt to rediscover the methods of interpretation used by the New Testament writers. We note the Sitz in Leben of Biblical Jewish culture along the lines of various scholars, but in order to see the greater depth of contained meaning we adopt an understanding of early midrashic models in addition to conventional grammatical-historical models of interpretation.[...]

It looks like the pendulum swing is swinging back for some people. Carla has found a site about post-emergents.

When I went over and read Carla’s blog and her latest post called ‘Posts and Things’ it reminded me of a post I did some time back about what post-modernism will do to the church. I have decided to bring my comment from Carla’s very informative blog over to my blog as it was rather lengthy, and at the end of this post I will have the my related posts… so, here is my rather lengthy comment:

In fact what post-modernsism does is deconstruct everything it attempts to deal with. I see post-modernism not lasting long at all.

But the problem post-modernism has is what model do you use to reconstruct something that you have pulled apart? Now, with the emergent’s there are some who have seen the light and have found that post-modernism within the emergent conversation was literally so fluid so that they became unfulfilled and discontented because they found themselves talking in circles with nothing of substance really being said. Can’t chew on fluid really can you!

Those with a teachable heart and spirit who are really looking for God and long for Him and who recognise that they long for His Truth - will go on to try and find Truth and if Truth can exist at all … and prayfully they will find Christ in a biblical way. For those people they come to realize that only the lack of Truth exists within the post-modern emergent circles and it becomes clear to them that the Truth cannot be found within post-modernism. So there is a break away. Praise God for that!

Now, for those who love not the truth (and we know there are those people, Paul says that 2 Th 2:10), but love instead mans flowery words will want to reconstruct the very thing they have deconstructed and pulled apart. In reconstructing they will find that they will have to become even more fluid and more inclusive than ever before because they are not willing to become authoritative, authentic or discriminative - as truth divides from error by its very nature. They will find and proclaim that truth is not in the answer but in the question - Why? (hahahah why? Now if I was a post-modern I would give myself a pat on the back for finding the answer in the word Why?) - Why? - Because answers presume a positive or a negative, which is of course discriminatory. Their questions can never be answered in any absolute way and to get around this conundrum they will say that they don’t need to be as long as you are on the quest to find the answer, that quest is 100% good and 100% right for each individual. The question therefore becomes the answer!

With all the problems that a luke warm church has today - with it feeling uncomfortable about the truth of the Gospel and the telling of it. I just wanted to share something about the new converts in persecuted countries. There is a revival going on!

This is something I have come across recently and although it is talking about Christmas just gone, the news is most welcome.

But before I go on to the following excerpt that I have found for you, I must say it brings to my mind a quote from C S Lewis that I think is worthy of your attention: You never know how much you really believe anything until its truth or falsehood becomes a matter of life and death to you.

Now with the above being said and I really do hope you have pondered on that quote …. here is some news about new converts who have most likely faced things that we can not really understand in our comfy homes.

These new converts would have gone through massive challenges that may have actually cost their lives, in fact their choices could still cost them their lives according to the religion they have renounced. They are now apostates of Islam! They have no room for post-modern debates, their lives depend on the Word alone. No argument about it. No conversations or double talk about double truths or mans traditions being taught as doctrines the precepts of men (Matt 15:9). Just the pure unadulterated Word of God in all its Truth. It puts the West to shame don’t you think?

Record Number of Ex-Muslims Celebrate Christmas this Year (Some Christmas Good News) [Excerpts]

More Muslims converted to faith in Jesus Christ over the past decade than at any other time in human history. A spiritual revolution is underway throughout North Africa, the Middle East, and Central Asia. As a result, a record number of ex-Muslims are celebrating Christmas this year, despite intense persecution, arrests, assassinations, and widespread church bombings.

Iraq: more than 5,000 new Muslim converts to Christianity have been identified since the end of major combat operations, with 14 new churches opened in Baghdad, and dozens of new churches opened in Kurdistan, some of which have 500 to 800 members. Also, more than 1 million Bibles shipped into the country since 2003, and pastors report Iraqis are snatching them up so fast they constantly need more Bibles. Egypt: some reports say 1 million Egyptians have trusted Christ over the past decade or so. The Egyptian Bible Society told me they used to sell about 3,000 copies of the JESUS film a year in the early 1990s. But last year they sold 600,000 copies, plus 750,000 copies of the Bible on tape (in Arabic) and about a half million copies of the Arabic New Testament. “Egyptians are increasingly hungry for God’s Word,” an Egyptian Christian

leader told me. Last Christmas, I had the privilege of visiting the largest Christian congregation in the Middle East, which meets in an enormous cave on the outskirts of Cairo. Some 10,000 believers worship there every weekend. A prayer conference the church held in May 2005 drew some 20,000 believers.

Afghanistan: only 17 Muslim converts to Christianity before 9/11/01, but now more than 10,000. Dozens of baptisms every week.

Kazakstan: only 3 known Christians in 1990, but now more than 15,000.

Uzbekistan: no known Christians in 1990, but now more than 30,000.

Sudan: more than 1 million Sudanese have converted to Christianity just since 2000, and some 5 million have become Christians since the early 1990s, despite a radical Islamic regime and an on-going genocide that has killed more than 200,000. Seminaries are being held in caves to train pastors to shepherd the huge numbers of people coming to Christ. Why such a dramatic spiritual awakening? “People have seen real Islam, and they want Jesus instead,” one Sudanese evangelical leader told me.

Iran: in 1979, there were only 500 known Muslim converts to Christianity, but today Iranian pastors and evangelical leaders tell me there are more than 1 million Iranian believers in Jesus Christ, most of whom meet in underground house churches. December 2001, Sheikh Ahmad al Qataani, a leading Saudi cleric, appeared on a live interview on Aljazeera satellite television to confirm that, sure enough, Muslims were turning to Jesus in alarming numbers. “In every hour, 667 Muslims convert to Christianity,” Al Qataani warned. “Every day, 16,000 Muslims convert to Christianity. Every year, 6 million Muslims convert to Christianity.”

Stunned, the interviewer interrupted the cleric. “Hold on! Let me clarify. Do we have six million converting from Islam to Christianity?” Al Qataani repeated his assertion. “Every year,” the cleric confirmed, adding, “a tragedy has happened.” @Jeol C Rosenberg

Ok… I have found how The Voice are going to retell the story of God into a narrative:

We asked them to see themselves not only as guardians of the sacred text, but also as story tellers, because we believe that the Bible has always been intended to be heard as the sacred story of the people of God.

Artistic goals… does that imply artistic license… it would have to wouldn’t it? And this bit about being guardians of the text… I thought that God was to keep His promise about His Word being unchanged. Isn’t God the guardian of His Word. If artistic license is brought into it, then this should be classed as a novel, or at best mans interpretation of what he/she considers to be Gods story to mankind.

It certainly won’t be God’s Word to man, but rather mans understanding of a story about God.

This is in no way the bible, it is a narrative… they are right in saying that!

Their premise as stated is that this narrative is the way that God intended His Word to be understood in the first place, when they say:

[...] we believe that the Bible has always been intended to be heard as the sacred story of the people of God.

I thought the main point and the focus of the bible was to point to Jesus and His work done on the cross - not the story about the people of God - but Jesus and His purpose for being on this earth.

Or maybe I am like others who seem Old Hat and behind the times because I believe that all scripture is God breathed and is inspired by God and can be used for reproof and correction, instruction etc. If it is brought down to mans narrative and made into a story, then no longer can scripture be used to correct or reproof because it is all under mans scrutiny as it is looking through the lens of mans traditions and stories and interpretations. As their web-site implies … this book is only a narrative a story, therefore not the bible at all.

Where God meets big business - and it’s soon coming to a church near you

Tom Baldwin in Willow Creek, Illinois American Evangelical Christians scare the hell out of secular Britons and, while their reputation may be unfair, it has been long in the making and is reinforced by some truth. [...]

[...]And more recently the European Left has been concerned about an American Religious Right bent on ensuring that the Book of Revelation’s apocalyptic prophecies come true through the current President’s policy on Iraq, Israel and the Middle East.

On the other side of the Atlantic, Evangelicals have a very different, but also damaging, image. The damp-palmed jeans-clad vicar who plays guitar in a Christian rock band does not scare anyone but fashion writers.

Somewhere between these two caricatures there may be an answer to the riddle about why Britain and America, nations with history, language and culture in common, have grown so far apart on religion.

That answer may just be found in Willow Creek Church, near Chicago, recently rated in a survey including 2,000 pastors as the most influential of any in America. It has grown from virtually nothing into an Evangelical megachurch with weekend congregations of 20,000, assets of $150 million (£76 million) and an annual turnover of $26 million. If that sounds like a business, that is because it is run like one: Harvard and Stanford MBA s handle the day-to-day management.

For the first time it dawned on me… Yes, I know it took awhile you may say!

But these so called ‘moderate Islamic teachers’ who call for dialogue from one side of their mouth call Western Law which is based on the Judea/Christian law ‘man made laws’ which should be done away with if it it contradicts with the Laws of Allah. According to teachers who claim to be moderate muslim’s, the laws in Britain are man made!! Of course they want the laws of Allah in the land. Allah’s laws are believed to be of higher order than what democratic countries now abide by.

This youtube is about mosques in Birmingham that appear to be moderate, but what they are teaching is far from it.

An undercover investigation has revealed disturbing evidence of Islamic extremism at a number of Britain’s leading mosques and Muslim institutions, including an organisation praised by the Prime Minister.

Secret video footage reveals Muslim preachers exhorting followers to prepare for jihad, to hit girls for not wearing the hijab, and to create a ‘state within a state’. Many of the preachers are linked to the Wahhabi strain of Islam practised in Saudi Arabia, which funds a number of Britain’s leading Islamic institutions.

A forthcoming Channel 4 Dispatches programm paints an alarming picture of how preachers in some of Britain’s most moderate mosques are urging followers to reject British laws in favour of those of Islam. Leaders of the mosques have expressed concern at the preachers’ activities, saying they were unaware such views were being disseminated.

At the Sparkbrook mosque, run by UK Islamic Mission (UKIM), an organisation that maintains 45 mosques in Britain and which Tony Blair has said ‘is extremely valued by the government for its multi-faith and multicultural activities’, a preacher is captured on film praising the Taliban. In response to the news that a British Muslim solider was killed fighting the Taliban, the speaker declares: ‘The hero of Islam is the one who separated his head from his shoulders.’

Another speaker says Muslims cannot accept the rule of non-Muslims. ‘You cannot accept the rule of the kaffir [non-Muslim],’ a preacher, Dr Ijaz Mian, tells a meeting held within the mosque. ‘We have to rule ourselves and we have to rule the others.’ Thanks to LGF

You know, with this kind of extreme Islam being taught, can’t you just hear the goose steps of the neo-Nazis in reaction to this in Europe which are growing in number. Eurobia I mean Europe is at a massive cross roads.

But according to some who have in the past been an Islamic extremist and another who has been a nazi, these two ideologies are not that far removed from one another, two faces of the same coin if you like. These two men have spoken together about the rise of these two ideologies and how they are related to one another and how it is related to what we are seeing around the world now.

These ideologies were not that far from one another during Word War II - once both figure out that the worlds problems are all the Jews and Christians fault (But mainly the Jews, “The Protocols of the Elders of Zion” just proves that …. *cough splatter gulp*!) then they will have a common agenda! Can’t wait!
