Emerging Church - Rick Warren - and the New World Order
Walter Rauschenbusch was a Fabian Socialist who stated in 1893 that “the only power that can make socialism succeed, if it is established, is religion.” And in Edgar Bundy’s COLLECTIVISM IN THE CHURCHES (1958), one reads regarding Rauschenbusch that “Socialism thus was his first concern. Religion was only a means toward achieving socialism.”Today in many Protestant as well as Catholic churches, one is more likely to hear a message about the need for “social action” than the need to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior in order to be saved and go to heaven. In fact, there is currently one very popular religious figure who began his ministry by surveying people about what they thought should be preached at church, and he holds leadership seminars emphasizing the need for social action and service. Interesting read don’t you think? I for one, have been made very aware of the dangers surrounding the social gospel and Rick Warren’s P.E.A.C.E plan. It doesn’t sit quite right with me. I have written many a post on that very subject.
I have always seen that the emphasis was not on Gods Word regarding why He sent His son to die, but rather, creating a kingdom here on on earth. Don’t get me wrong here, I do believe there will be a kingdom of God here on earth! Jesus will be the one to usher that one in, not Rick Warren, not Bush, not the Pope but Jesus. I pray for His kingdom to come everyday. We are instructed to pray for it.
When I read the observations from News with Views about the need for ’social action in the churches’ rather than the need to accept Jesus as Lord and Saviour I can only question if the people pushing this methodology are biblical illiterates. The church should be saving souls first, that should be the main agenda. Conversion is the only thing that makes a person a disciple of Christ. It is faith that saves - and by that I mean the faith that is in Christ that saves us from the second death which is our destiny and our doom.
Conducting a survey to see what message should be preached at church is the most offensive thing I have heard. To even ask the world what to preach at church, I would have thought it be obvious, wouldn’t you? Jesus said that his kingdom is not of this world, we are constantly told not to store our treasures here on earth, we are also called not to be part of this world but to be separate from it. Why then, should the world even begin to understand what the Church needs are? We are told that the natural man does not understand the spiritual things. So, how can the world even begin to advise on all things spiritual?
1Co 2:12-14 But we have not received the spirit of the world, but the Spirit from God, so that we might know the things that are freely given to us by God. Which things we also speak, not in words taught in human wisdom, but in Words taught of the Holy Spirit, comparing spiritual things with spiritual things. But a natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he is not able to know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
Why don’t we ask the world what the church should be and what the church should say? Don’t bother finding out from the actual bible, after all it is Christ’s Church, he is the head of it the last time I read that book.
Don’t bother going to the letters written by Paul about the importance of correct teaching and reproving within the church. Again, emphasis is all wrong. Don’t ask man for biblical guidence, man hasn’t got a clue, you must go to God’s book. I reckon you will find that He has something to say about His Church, including its direction don’t you? Have you heard about Laodicea lately, you may want to take a look? It kind of sums up today’s western churches really well I think.
I mean what do the scriptures say about faith and works and what the church should boast in?
Ephesians 2:8-9 for by grace have ye been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not of works, that no man should glory.
Gal 6:14 But may it never be for me to boast, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.
The cross is to be amplified over anything. That is the gospel, that is what should be emphasised. How many surveys did I need to figure that one out! If it was good enough for Paul, then it is good enough for me.
Do you want to know how a single world culture and a New World Order is going to come about … well, it is through a system called ‘Dialectical Synthesis‘.
Sir Julian Huxley, the first director-general of UNESCO, wrote in UNESCO: ITS PURPOSE AND ITS PHILOSOPHY (194
that “the task is to help the emergence of a single world culture….Two opposing philosophies of life confront each other….You may categorize the two philosophies as two super-nationalisms, or as individualism versus collectivism…or as capitalism versus communism, or as Christianity versus Marxism. Can these opposites be reconciled, this antithesis be resolved in a higher synthesis? I believe not only that this can happen, but that, through the inexorable dialectic of evolution, it must happen….” “Dialectical Synthesis” is the favorite tactic of the power elite, whose goal is to synthesize Western Capitalism and Eastern Communism into a World Socialist Government.Dr Dennis Cuddy @News with views (part two)
Individualism versus collectivism, can these two opposing ideologies be reconciled? Interesting question actually, especially in light of a book that I am currently reading called ‘Moral Meltdown the Core of Globalism ‘. I have only just started that book but the author is putting up a pretty good argument that these two complimentary opposites can be reconciled quite easily, they are like two sides of the same coin. But I have not read all of the book, so I am not going to comment much futher on its content as yet.
For my part though, this is like a massive jig-saw puzzle that actually blows my mind in trying to fit all the pieces together. However, I did find the following article to be quite insightful which added another little piece to the already huge picture.
For a critical anyalysis of ‘Dialiectical Synthesis see this article called “Progressivism and The Two Americas: The Dialectic Synthesis of Liberalism and Conservatism“ By Dr. Gerry Lower.
The values of American democracy, based as they are in human rights, are neither liberal or conservative. They are human and they are derived logically by dialectic synthesis of complementary opposites, an approach formalized in science by Niels Bohr in solving the wave/particle dualism in subatomic physics. Applying this approach to values, it has been possible to logically-derive human values by dialectic synthesis of the complementary values of western religious systems and eastern ethical systems (www.jeffersonseyes.com/dialectics).
Dialectic synthesis, at the core of postmodern natural philosophy, is accomplished by juxtaposing complementary opposites and seeking a concept that embraces both sides of the argument. This formal approach to scientific thought exemplifies how simple thought can solve problems made “complex” by the political and spiritual dualism that has divided “the people” in the western world for millennia.
From the ashes of cultural extremism, will come a bright new day for democracy and a bright new world for “the people,” a new human sense of human purpose on this planet, and peace and human self-comprehension on a global basis. From the “end of time” ashes of cultural extremism will come the “birth of human” and the emergence of humankind, as an entirely new evolutionary entity on this planet. It is an integral part of the human evolutionary program, people.
Birth of a new kind of human hey… I wonder what his name will be? Little horn perhaps!

It’s worth asking whether we can get away from being so concerned about worldly systems and classifications and instead build an ethic and way of life that is based purely on Jesus’ teachings.
Christ’s teachings were that of saving souls from Hell. His teaching showed us that He is the Messiah that the prophets of the Old Testament told us about. He fulfilled the Law, and He fulfilled many of the prophecies concerning Himself.
He is yet to fulfill all of the prophecies, and for that we pray that He comes again and establishes His kingdom. No man will do that, but only Christ Himself. He is the head of this kingdom!
He came and He died four our sins, that we may be forgiven and look forward to His coming again.
