Palestinians depicted as Christ Crucified

Some time ago I did a post about Historical Revisionism and how even Christian Historians are getting their facts really really wrong. The post I wrote was called ‘Jesus the Palestinian…. Ok Then?’. In that post I said this:

I was looking through a christian catalogue the other day, and came across a new book called A Specator’s Guide to Jesus by John Dickson. The cover of the book depicts a range of different looking Jesus’- To my surprise the blurb to this book had this to say; A Spectator’s Guide to Jesus. By John Dickson How did a crucified Palestinian peasant end up winning the allegiance of 2 billion confessed Christians today? This introduction to Jesus’ life and teaching portrays a radical man who challenges social and religious norms and demands compassion for the needy.

Silly me I thought that Jesus was a Jedaean Carpenter, there was no country or nation known as Palestine in Jesus’ day. Even Matthew with his introduction in establishing Jesus’ ancestry says this: Mat 2:1 And when Jesus had been born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king… Judea people - yes that’s right J-U-D-E-A. Ok, if you don’t trust the Bible, then perhaps you’re in need of a little history lesson.[...]

(The above is taken from my post which has a lot more documented evidence that backs up my argument)

It is very apparent to me that there is Historical Revisionists at work in the media today. I came across an article in World Net Daily which just reinforced my concerns, the article has this to say:

The leading Palestinian newspaper Al Quds republished a political cartoon depicting a Palestinian Christ figure being crucified with an Iraqi “brother” on the same cross. The image expresses a common Palestinian motif, found both in text and cartoons, that depicts Palestinians as Jesus and Jesus as a Palestinian, commented Itamar Marcus of Israel-based Palestinian Media Watch. The caption on the cartoon, published Thursday, says, “Brother from Iraq, Relative from Palestine.”

“We must not forget that (Jesus) Messiah, may peace be upon him, is Palestinian, the son the Mary the Palestinian, who is sanctified by hundreds of millions of believers in this world.” – Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Nov. 18, 2005. “It was quite natural that the Palestinians rose to save their sanctuaries (in Nazareth) without anyone thinking there is a difference between a Christian and a Muslim … since in the Palestinian situation, the lord Messiah (Jesus) and his mother (Mary) are both Galileans and Palestinians … .” – Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, March 9. “The Palestinian Galilee village of Kfar Kana takes pride in the fact that in [the village] the Palestinian Messiah succeeded to turn water into wine.” – Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Dec. 14, 2004. Jesus also is defined as a “martyr for Allah” in this example: “And a child from the De’haisha refugee camp will shout: ‘Yes, we have won, just as the prophets and (Jesus’) Apostles won,’ and the shahids will cry, ‘We shook the palm trees alongside Lady Earth and the lady of the people, the Virgin Mary, and with her son the first Palestinian Shahid.’” – Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Jan. 17, 2005] @WorldNetDaily.com

When people start messing around with the Historical Christ then He becomes a different christ altogether. He becomes not the Christ of His Word, but christ of mans reinvention. Dangerous ground indeed!

Read some of Hamas’ Covenant and see if you still think the Palestinians want Peace:

Hey Hamas!! Read this…The Australian got it right!

I just read something written by David Horowitz regarding the name of Palestine. Here’s part of it:

…”it has never been the name of a nation or state. It is a geographical term, used to designate the region at those times in history when there is no nation or state there.

The word itself derives from “Peleshet”, a name that appears frequently in the Bible and has come into English as “Philistine”. The name began to be used in the Thirteenth Century BCE, for a wave of migrant “Sea Peoples” who came from the area of the Aegean Sea and the Greek Islands and settled on the southern coast of the land of Canaan. There they established five independent city-states (including Gaza) on a narrow strip of land known as Philistia. The Greeks and Romans called it “Palastina”.

The Philistines were not Arabs, they were not Semites. They had no connection, ethnic, linguistic or historical with Arabia or Arabs. The name “Falastin” that Arabs today use for “Palestine” is not an Arabic name. It is the Arab pronunciation of the Greco-Roman “Palastina” derived from the Peleshet.”

I have added an older post of mine called “Hey Hamas!! Read this…The Australian got it right!”  That post has some of Hamas’ Covenant in it. I think that if more people actually read what Hamas says about Israel Jews and democratic countries, then they wouldn’t be so ingnorant.

That is not to say that even if everyone was educated in Middle East Politics/Geography/History etc that we still wouldn’t be shaking hands with terrorists.

It is all pre-ordained in the Word of God when it says:

Dan 11:39 And he shall act in the strongholds of the fortresses with a foreign god, whom he shall acknowledge. He shall multiply in glory, and he shall cause them to rule over many and shall divide the land for a price.

It has only just started because Jerusalem will be a stumbling block:

Zec 12:2 Behold! I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling to all the peoples all around, and it shall also be against Judah in the siege against Jerusalem.
Zec 12:3 And in that day I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples; all who lift it shall be slashed. And all the nations of the earth will be gathered against it.

When the Palestinians start asking for Jerusalem, and the world is saying to Isreal give up part of Jerusalem… then watch out.

    God is Jealous for Jerusalem:

Zec 1:14 So the angel who was talking with me said to me, Cry out, saying, So says Jehovah of Hosts: I am jealous for Jerusalem and for Zion, with a great jealousy.

    Interesting day we live in!!
